May piss off some people here, but it's common behavior from cops in my experience. They love pulling over modified vehicles so they can "fish" for violations. I've got a 94 Ford Ranger Splash dropped 6/7 and I was stopped one night because the cop allegedly ran my vanity plate and said it came back as "unregistered." I don't know how stupid he thought I was, but vanity plates are not issued unless they're _registered._ The only way to GET a vanity plate is via registration. The only way this could get mixed up would be if someone stole my plate and put it on a different vehicle. But even then, the plate would still come back as registered to me and my vehicle. If your vanity plate expires, it STILL remains in your state's system; so expired plates STILL come back registered to you. I've been stopped numerous times in the Ranger, always for bull shit reasons. Another night, a road block was setup about 30 yards from my driveway. Pulled into my drive as I always do (again -- in the fucking Ranger), started to unlock my front door, and this cop walks up in my yard asking if I lived there. I suspect cops see a lowered truck rolling around late at night and immediately think, "drug dealer," so they pull me over hoping they'll catch me intoxicated, high, etc.
Headlights taillights license plate, just the slicks and I'd keep riding it. It's 20+ years old need a antique license so they can't say anything about it 😂
Michel Linschoten you're actually wrong. I live and Florida and know the law here. It's gotta be 30 years old and the DMV website also says it's gotta have a motor that's also 30 years old. Edit: I did read on custom cars it can be 25 years old and qualify which I would assume that it would definitely qualify.

GreatScorpion sounds more like harassing to me, who in their right mind would take a truck on the streets not street legal? Without lights or turning signals?? Someone with enough knowledge knows better, and this is very basic knowledge.or he is brand new out of the academy needing to pull over someone over nothing just to check his turning signals and lights.
KryptonitexOGRx have you bumped your head? No one takes a car out on the road that isn't street legal. He was doing his job everyone knows it. Get of your ooh he's touching me childish game.
RUSERIOUS76 not games, it’s why you have police abusing their power all over kids getting killed, but hey they are always there when needed right lol. You are fool.
Rain and slicks don't mix, you know rob dahm? He had slicks on his 3 rotor and it started raining on him and he spun out like 2 minutes after it started raining
Even if you are doing something wrong appearing stressed is a sure fire way to let the cop know of it. Need to master the art of Goosfraba and how to say as little as possible while still being essentially honest with possibly the omission of a few key details that they don't need to know. :) One time when i was 18 or 19 I accidentally ran from a cop on gravel. About 85 mph and hung a corner right in front of him. Didn't know it was the police until my radar detector started beeping. Whoops. I got insanely lucky that time. Made me take down my radar detector and graduation tassel i had hanging from my rear view and let me go. I think my apparent honesty helped. He asked what I was doing and I replied, "Just having some fun." I may have omitted the reason I turned onto the gravel in the first place though, which would have been frowned upon and had i different outcome. Some people say omission is lying, but IMO it just means they didn't ask the right questions. :)
Extremely courteous officer. Great common sense. This is all too rare these days. Officers should take note. This is how they earn respect in the communities they work in.
Lol I saw all this happen, I was the blue F150 behind you at the stop light next to wawa. Changed lanes to see if it was you driving and then the officer turned his lights on. Glad he let you off!
RayMe Labow“Help me Jesus! Help me Jewish God! Help me Allah! Help me Tom Cruise! Tom Cruise use your witchcraft on me to get the fire off me! Help me Oprah Winfrey!”
At least the officer was cool, here in California chances are pretty good that this truck would have been impounded. Especially when you kept proving the officer wrong, for instance, working head lights, turn signals, etc. Don't get me wrong, even though I am not a Nascar fan, I would still drive this truck around as much as I possibly could.
Thebassinkid. Lol the car is insured and licensed. Literally nothing wrong with the car obviously. If you watched the entire video, he did not receive a ticket. He pulled him over, then started saying he doesn’t have turn signals. He did. Went to front looking for something else he can get him with and said there were no headlights. There was.
Its not that he was looking for stuff, he did say he is a racecar fan, so he probably knows the headlights and turn signals on actual NASCAR trucks are stickers, so that probalby caught his attention, so after he got confirmed that the truck was street legal, he let him go. I mean, you see a NASCAR on the street, the last thing you think its that is street legal, this one just happens to be legal, cop didn´t know it.
@@walkissodra9723 lol doesn't change the fact he modded it past what most states what consider legal. Any car can have tags and a VIN. Doesn't mean you can slap some nitrous in there, some slicks and boot around town. Cause it's ILLEGAL.

Yah, I dont know why this guy felt the need to harass you... we all know he didnt pull you over for the damn tires. He thought he was gonna get to impound a nascar.
this is my like for this comment because i saw you were at 69 likes and didn't want to ruin it. Nice.
@@jorgey4 like this comment to keep the 69 intact!
That or he wanted a chase
May piss off some people here, but it's common behavior from cops in my experience. They love pulling over modified vehicles so they can "fish" for violations. I've got a 94 Ford Ranger Splash dropped 6/7 and I was stopped one night because the cop allegedly ran my vanity plate and said it came back as "unregistered."
I don't know how stupid he thought I was, but vanity plates are not issued unless they're _registered._ The only way to GET a vanity plate is via registration.
@@sixstanger00 cops can screw themselves.
Headlights taillights license plate, just the slicks and I'd keep riding it. It's 20+ years old need a antique license so they can't say anything about it 😂
Corey 01 it's gotta be at least 30 years old to get a Florida antique plate.
Jeff Dahmer it's about there anyways
Wrong needs to be 25 it's a 96...so couple more years..
Only problem with antique licence plate is you are limited to parades special events and holidays. Thats the case in a few states I've lived in.
I bet deep down that cop wanted him to run
TX militia lmaooo fr
I bet deep down that cop was wishing to god that he wouldn't run.
TX militia of cource
Yeah, run...when you've got the only truck in the state that looks like a NASCAR ad. Gee, you think they'll figure out who owns it?
Mr Sam, with the most mechanically sympathetic burnout ever on the channel and he still throws rubber around!

Q8 Fly, too right, best of both worlds.
I want to try an old throttle body on a flange.
MindCrime ive been thinking about how well this will work... 🤔
Florida does not have a noise restriction... The Florida supreme court found the law was Unconstitutional.
MasterMech77 Mississippi doesnt have a noise restriction as long as its catted and has a muffler even for show
If you look out the driver side window at 7:46 you can see the bald eagle machine C7
The belly on that cop! You could have jumped out and pushed the truck to the shop and still beat him
You are so tough

I mean aren’t you supposed to pass a physical test to prove you are still capable? I mean no offense to the guy but damn!!

Just put beafy road tires on those rims and put the yellow tire writing on them
Todd Brown rain tires would be sufficient, and keep the look.
The yellow tire text always looks so nice
Trailer a race truck? This guy needs to feel the power of a v8 on slicks
the cop is just doing his job dumbass
Justino Garcia only that v8 only makes about 400hp
Man it’s crazy seeing ole Cleeter just a few years ago to now.
If you ask me, Cop was jealous.
ErikGTR I think if I was a cop I'd pull over a straight piped racecar on slicks....
nicholas wong Why? He’s not harming anyone, I would rather spend time looking for robbers and murderers.
Rain and slicks don't mix, you know rob dahm? He had slicks on his 3 rotor and it started raining on him and he spun out like 2 minutes after it started raining
ErikGTR how often to you find robbers and murderers while out patrolling? Running traffic is what you do between calls and writing reports.
ErikGTR and slicks are dangerous for anyone out on the road with him, too, if it starts raining.
Lmao, he asked are you gonna race it in the actual Truck Series as if it's an active stock car chassis
Leuel48Fan Well come on now he knows and loves race cars.
Right, I just want Cleetus to stop calling it a NASCAR. Got dang triggers the hell out of me.
Josh well it is a nascar. Different branch of nascar. But nascar none the less
Brandon Matthews No. There is no such thing as a NASCAR. NASCAR is an organization. Stock cars race in the NASCAR organization.
"He knows race cars" well unless you're blind it seems pretty obvious it's a race car (/truck)
Dale would of drove his race car on the street too.
Add Street tires, and electric cut outs that go to a muffler.
P. K. Yeah no fuck a muffler
"I turned that corner back there"
*Looks a McLaren*
*Continues talking about Dale Truck*
that’s the most calm i’ve ever seen someone get pulled over
if you're not doing anything wrong you got nothing to be stressed out about
Even if you are doing something wrong appearing stressed is a sure fire way to let the cop know of it. Need to master the art of Goosfraba and how to say as little as possible while still being essentially honest with possibly the omission of a few key details that they don't need to know. :)
One time when i was 18 or 19 I accidentally ran from a cop on gravel. :)
4:14 must be a Gordon fan
How can the cop be a race car fan and not know about dale he doesn't do it for dale
BAHENA666ROCKSTAR I was looking for this comment... cops lie about anything and everything.
He might know about dale, but not doing it for dale.
chevy he could watch Nascar, but he may not care for TH-cam
Dale didn't run that truck in the series so he pulled him over because he knew it was bullshit
Can you explain to me why it is everyone hates on Jeff Gordon?
"I use my Blinkers" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Even the Cop is confused.
cop had a Kyle Busch sticker on his bumper
He looks more like a Richard Petty guy.
Did not see it
@@sprice0810 that's because it was a joke
Confirmed I saw it.
A year and a half later and this is still one of my most favorite Cleetuses videos
I agree.
“Turn around and get a thumbnail stat” spoken like a true TH-camr 😂
Extremely courteous officer. Great common sense. This is all too rare these days. Officers should take note. This is how they earn respect in the communities they work in.

Lol I saw all this happen, I was the blue F150 behind you at the stop light next to wawa. Changed lanes to see if it was you driving and then the officer turned his lights on. Glad he let you off!
Logan Lane Wow, I am surprised.
Best part of the whole video( turn right now get a thumbnail) LOL

U got lucky, Cleetus. I've known cops that would literally write their grandmother a ticket for improper equipment!!
Cop needs to put that gut on a trailer
Lol!
*to many donuts*
Your comment needs more likes 😂😂😂
His worst day on the job is when someone makes a run for it....On foot.
freaking cheeseburger walrus
“It needs headlights” “it’s got headlights”
Pig sounded slightly jealous he didn’t have a truck like that
One of the rare videos from the past I missed you deserve everything you have now you are living the best life keep doing it for dale
He pulled you over because there weren't enough eagles. He just wanted to flash that red, white, and blue for ya.
James Pratt That's why I like Washington. You can get your permit at 16, window tints aren't as limited, you don't have to smog your cars!
I'm pretty sure you can get your permit at 16 in every state, and window tint laws are different from city to city.
James Pratt and its not like the cops would ever catch him
Washington has quite a few smog zones.
In Illinois they'd impound it while arresting you, claiming you stole the thing!
Hey you're are about to go to jail and you get one phone call. - hey get over here, I need a thumbnail... that was classic
Jail? Nope
theflanman86 hotel? trivago
He could have used his AAA card for bond.
Cop: did you know you have unsafe tires?
Every NASCAR track in the country: WTF?
Classic cop routine. Pulls you over and then looks for what you’re doing wrong
Guess you did not watch the vid, shows the truck is licensed and insured 2:47 @ Hagbard Celine
Hagbard Celine sorry to say sir you are a moron
Thebassinkid. Lol the car is insured and licensed. Literally nothing wrong with the car obviously. If you watched the entire video, he did not receive a ticket. He pulled him over, then started saying he doesn’t have turn signals. He did. Went to front looking for something else he can get him with and said there were no headlights. There was.
TehZured did I call your a moron? lol you gotta learn to read dumbo I was agreeing with you on everything.
"You know better" err... know better than to drive my completely legal truck?
he admitted to having slicks on... they are not road legal anywhere I am aware of. it is not a legal truck with slick racing tires mounted...
Fred Ragers VII It has a tag and a vin😁 so it’s legal😛
@@walkissodra9723 lol doesn't change the fact he modded it past what most states what consider legal. Any car can have tags and a VIN. Doesn't mean you can slap some nitrous in there, some slicks and boot around town. Cause it's ILLEGAL.
Fred Ragers VII Well your state sucks, atleast FL is Way better 😃
KillerPojo12 Still Legal😂
7:46 the C7 drives past

Sir Lord Mr President Trump because back when Jeff was driving (he retired in 2015), he was driving the wheels off of his car and winning tons of races.
It’s pretty much the same thing happening to the Penske and Joe Gibbs drivers today. It’s nothing really bad though, since it’s just trash talk.

The part about the necessary equipment was the best. By the way change those damn tires. LOL Great post. Have a nice day officer!
He was so butt hurt that you had lights n signals lol..

Cops don't take kindly to such sarcasm unfortunately
audilicous Thats when I just tell em to write the fuckin ticket, and kick rocks. Lol
Yeah, fuck them for daring to pull over an illegal vehicle.
That cop was not a happy dude lol
He wasn't that bad, if he was a real Dick he would have cited him for the tires or for the noise or both, he just told him to take it straight back to the shop.
Cameron Myers Here's my 2 cents. The cop said that he was a fan of racing....so 1. I think he wanted to see it up close and personal 2. He noticed the camera I'm sure so he didn't want to be unprofessional even without a camera there. He did the right thing by doing his job and seeing the Dale Bald Eagles in person. Win...Win in my book😊 He probably could have had it impounded if he wanted to. I'm glad he was cool about it.
Rob Arell no he couldn’t of had it impounded.. it’s street legal besides the tires
Cameron Myers
Tires are a out of service citation could have towed it for sure
Street legal? There's not even a tag on it haha. I'm sure he went to the DMV and got this registered too. lol
