This was reassuring to me. I haven't purchased the Sutro Lite yet but I am considering them. I was concerned about how rigid the frames are and how much force would be required to change lenses. I had a pair of Oakleys in the 90s that the lens cracked above the nose piece after about a month. The materials seemed to be a bit brittle. I currently use the older style Radarlock glasses and I love them because the spring release tab makes the lens changes easy without a lot of stress on the frame or lens. I might give the Sutro Lite a chance for when I want extra coverage. Thanks for the informative video.
Hi Lorentz, Yes! The Sutro Lite & Lite Sweep use the same frame chassis, only the lens shape is different and can be interchanged within the Sutro lite frame model🔥😎
Hello! The temples on the Sutro are not adjustable, unfortunately. BUT there's enough volume and grip with the nosepad to sufficiently secure the frame in place while the temples provide just enough pressure to ensure proper alignment.
Great Q! if performed correctly, the interchangeability should have no bearing on the longevity of the frame, no matter how many times you swap out the lenses.
No, the Sutro lens does not work with the sutro lite frame and vice versa, BUT the Sutro Lite Sweep & Sutro Lite lenses can be swapped in the same frame.
Hey Camilo! Oakley unfortunately doesn't make Rx inserts for the Sutro Lite, but if you're looking for an rxable semi rimless frame check out their Flak 2.0 XL... www.sportrx.com/oakley-flak-2-0-xl.html
HI! First, remove the screw and clean the hardware best you can. If the squeaking persists, the smallest amount of bike chain lube should do the trick, BUT be careful not to get any on the lenses as it could potentially damage the lens coatings.
Hello! You may have purchased regular Sutro lenses if there are no installation hooks near the outside top of the lens. The regular Sutro is a full frame design, unlike the interchangeable semi-rimless design of the Sutro Lite & Lite Sweep. You can send some images of your lenses to info@sportrx.com, and one of our opticians will review and confirm what type you have as well!
@@Bradbajc Hey man, do you ever figure this out by chance? Just bought some and they were doing awesome until i changed out the lens and now i’m having the same issue you noted above
Hey there! It sometimes helps to have an optician perform the exchange the first time in order to gain an idea for the amount of pressure to apply and to what areas on the frame. You can also call in to speak with a licensed optician who can walk you through the process 877.289.2999
Hi Joel! Your better option is the Sutro S. The Sutro Lite fits very similar to the Sutro which is better for M-L heads. Check out the Sutro S here: www.sportrx.com/oakley-sutro-s.html
Oh no! Sorry to hear that. It may only require a simple solution! Send some pics to info@sportrx.com, we'll see what we can do for you! 877.289.2999 info@sportrx.com

Phew. Wouldn't have had a clue how to do this without the vid. Thanks heaps.
Glad you enjoyed it-thanks for checking it out!
Thanks! Will be doing this for the first time.
You are angel. Your video save me lots of money!!!! I was going to buy another pair. Now all I need is a new replacement leds. Lol
Glad we could help!
Do you know if it’s possible to put the Sutro Sweep lens in the Sutro lite frame?
Hi Lorentz, Yes! The Sutro Lite & Lite Sweep use the same frame chassis, only the lens shape is different and can be interchanged within the Sutro lite frame model🔥😎
@@sportrxeyewear Thank you very much!! Appreciate it!
Of course! Glad we could help 🤙
Do the Sutro Lite and Sutro Sweep share the same frame to swap lenses?
Worked perfectly, I can now switch between Photochromic and Prizm Road in a snap 👍
Tnx for very quick way to change!
No problem! Happy to help!
Thank you!!! I have 2 and love them!
You are so welcome!
I’m thinking about buying a Sutro lite sweep pair of oakleys, and a Sutro lite lens. Are they interchangeable?
Yes
For the sutro lite asian fit glasses, do you need asian fit specific lenses to replace or can you use regular sutro lite lenses?
Could you upload a video for lens swap on the new Oakley corridor? Can’t figure it out
Do you guys know if the regular Sutro Lite lens will fit Asia fit Sutro Lites?
Can you bend the temple near the ear part to make it more fit to your head shape? I ask coz i don’t want to break it.
Hello! The temples on the Sutro are not adjustable, unfortunately. BUT there's enough volume and grip with the nosepad to sufficiently secure the frame in place while the temples provide just enough pressure to ensure proper alignment.
Is this something that can be done often? like a few times a week or will that cause damage over time?

changing my lens soon thanks for this vid!
Happy to help!
Really helpful video!
Glad it helped! 🔥Thanks for watching 😎
Could you do Oakley Corridor? Thanks!!
Mine ..prizm lens on my sutro lite getting peeled... Very frustrating..same like my previous Oakley
Is there video tutorial for corridor model?
Not yet! But the interchange is very similar to the Sutro Lite 😎
Yo what a life saver man, I thought I was screwed 😂
Haha we got you!
Is this recommended just for replacement lens or can I swap between my photo lens and a Prism lens as required?
You can swap them out as you see fit!
I can't get the nose piece off! If I press them in anymore I'm afraid it'll break.
OMGoodness .. did you just say "Lickity Split". SUBBED!
Me estába rompiendo la cabeza intentando cambiar los cristales, Gracias a ti sé cuál es la forma correcta! Thanks!
Thanks for checking it out, Jose!
Do the sutro lite fit sutro lense?
No, the Sutro lens does not work with the sutro lite frame and vice versa, BUT the Sutro Lite Sweep & Sutro Lite lenses can be swapped in the same frame.
It's always easier to find out how to change oakely lenses by going to youtube.
You're right about that, Gene!
SportRx opticians can help too.
Will Sutro lenses FIT in Sutro Lite frame and of cause the Sutro Lite lenses FIT in to a Sutro frame??
No
do you know where to get a good prescription adapter clip for the sutro lite?

Great video. Is the replacement lenses the same for the Sutro Lite and the normal Sutro?
Hey Jesper, did you ever figure this out? I have the same question.
Hey guys did you figure it out, I also have the same question 🙈
@@Sandro-lj3tuno the sutro lens are not the same as the sutro lite however the lite are interchangeable with the lite sweep
Does this work with the sutro lite sweep?
It does! The Sutro Lite & Lite Sweep use the exact same frame chassis, only the lens size is different.
What is that part called the metal that holds the lenses and frame? The one on top of the nose pad. I lost mine.
Hi Sergio, not too sure if there is a specific name for it.
Hey is there a way to get a replacement for that piece ??
where I can get the whole nose replacement?
How about squeaky arm hinges? How do you get rid of this?
HI! First, remove the screw and clean the hardware best you can. If the squeaking persists, the smallest amount of bike chain lube should do the trick, BUT be careful not to get any on the lenses as it could potentially damage the lens coatings.
Why the lenses that i bought doesnt have hooks on the side?

Which colour is that ?
Prizm Road!
I notice some play/wobble in the frame where the lens hooks in...is this normal? Seems the frame is not sitting snug with the lens. In my pair anyway.
I would make sure the lens is fully snapped into the frame. It sounds like it is loose somewhere. There should be no play.
@@sportrxeyewear strange. They are fully seated and snapped in. I guess I'll need to contact Oakley.

@@OCMOONSHOTS I put a very small piece of tape on corners of the lens that gets tucked away inside the frame. Seemed to stirdy things up.

can i put my sutro glasses in my sutro lite?
No u can’t bc it don’t have the point hooks to hook on the sutro lite i tried it
Are there replacement lenses on sale now for the Sutro Lite?
We have not seen any yet!
My frame is stuck have to apply so much force I’m afraid I will brake my frame. My frame seems a lot less flexible
