I also waited with interest for the resolution. My favorites were guitar no. 2 and no. 3. I am an avowed Dammann lover. The Tolz guitar also sounds great! Basically all 4 instruments are master guitars, in the end it's a matter of personal taste. You did a great job presenting the instruments. Evan, please keep up the good work! Thank you and best regards, Angelika 👍
I was waiting for this video with great trepidation. It was really interesting, really a great job. They are all great guitars, but my favorites remain the 2nd and the 3rd. I'm happy to know that they are from two luthiers that I respect a lot. A hug and I hope for more videos like these. Long live the guitar ! ❤
I chose guitar #2 before and now I understand why. Dammann is a dream for all guitarists. But I am a cedar guy so I might be biased a little bit. The other 3 spruce guitars are undeniably incredible as well.
You are so right in your assessment... lovely guitars all. Having said that, the Tolz embodies a spirit... I know, I know... this is completely subjective. However, there is undeniably something special there... that gorgeous traditional singing quality combined with power is what makes the Tolz my favorite. That guitar has gravitas!
One editing comment: Guitar 2 at the end shows subtitles as Philip Woodfield when it is indeed the Dammann. Nice videos as usual!
oops!! Thanks for pointing that out.
guitar 1 is very lyrical to me, the balance is outstanding, also you hear that the tone can be formed very sweetly

What a great idea. Really made me listen to the qualities of the guitar and the Tolz was my clear favorite. Do more of these.

I only saw the headstock of Tolz in the first second and the matter was closed for me 😅⭐️

Very cool test. Do I again after some time. Interesting how different 3 double tops can sound.
I would love to hear a blind test of French luthiers: Bouchet,Friederich ,Field,Rohé .
Thanks in advance
I was between 1 and 3 . 4 was almost equal to 1 . I didn't like at all no2..
