Available now is a very special and rare Daniel Friederich guitar from 1979. This one has seen a lot of play, which it’s sound and the wear that is visible proves.
This guitar pulls you in. Like the 1994 Friederich I offered recently, this one has a beautiful bloom to the sound. Each chord, or even a single note, leaves you with no obligation to move on to the next. You can sit there and just enjoy it (hopefully, you can see what I mean from the video I made with this guitar).
It’s a wide, open sound that you can hear in so many famous recordings on Friederich guitars. Speaking of recordings, before the previous owner, this guitar was at Siccas, where they made another fantastic video of this guitar, linked here: th-cam.com/video/0K_4rPP3eYc/w-d-xo.html Definitely worth a watch!
Friederich only made a handful of guitars labeled “experimentale”, and it’s safe to say this one was a success, like every Friederich I’ve encountered. It also touts a number (number 504) like all the concert models do, along with the typical doubled sides.
What else can I say… a dream guitar!
There is plenty of wear on the top, sides, back, and back of the neck but it is purely aesthetic. If you wanted to have someone refinish it, you could, but I don’t mind the look at all. There were also 2 professionally repaired cracks, one next to the fingerboard on the bass side, and the other near the edge of the lower bout. These are in the guitars’ “dead spots”.
The price isn’t as high as excellent-mint condition Friederich’s from this era, so hopefully you can take advantage of this offer, and enjoy playing this beautiful, singing guitar, just like several others have in the past.
650 mm scale
52.5mm nut width
Fustero tuners
Comes with standard case, upgrades available.

Sounds amazing. Tell me do you know if the Cordoba version of the Friederich does a very good job as a replica ? I know one can’t beat the original but am interested in a more affordable option.
Sublime harmonics! Also very ‘pianoesque’ if that’s a thing.
So fantastic, i wish i could buy it:)
What a wonderful TH-cam channel. Thank you, Evan.
Hi Would you mind giving out the price of this guitar? Behrooz

@@DeusVult84 sure! I love that piece, and have played it in some other videos :)
Thank you 😊
Very nice sound with a lot of charm from this old Daniel Friederich- great basses and nice highs. Musical greetings 😊
Angelika, thank you for your comments and your beautiful observations. "Charm" is a nice way to put it.
@@itstheguitarcollection 👍👌
In your journey and much greater experience than most, have you noticed a difference in Muellers guitars over the years. Have you any thoughts on Mueller pre 2010 thanks
I can't say I've noticed a trend, but also haven't played a Mueller pre 2010, so I'm afraid I can't help.
Mama mia! Not a dt fan but this one is pretty swell
Sounds incredible! There are a handful of luthiers in Italy who are building Hauser replicas and getting very close to what I hear in your demo. Daniele Marabello, Enrico Bottelli to name only two. The extra magic percentage ( second to the luthiers talent) comes down to age I suspect and obviously the players skill
Thanks so much! It's always hard to say. These are great makers you mentioned. It's something I'm thinking about often, too. Artists of all types (artisans/performers/luthiers, etc) work their entire lives for one or two more percentages. I'll agree that others come close, but how close is a bit debatable. Certainly, no one -needs- a Hauser II, Torres, or Dammann for that matter. But these instruments do have a few extra percentages, as we'll call it that separate them. I'm not entirely sure it has to do with time, but of course, it makes sense! No doubt, the most important thing is actually the player. The player enables the instruments. No great instrument even sounds acceptable with bad playing.
I couldn’t agree more. We are living in excellent times for classical guitars
For sale?
Yes sir! Link to the description and price details are in the description of the video! Cheers!
Love this guitar!!
That Evan? Cool
Hello!! Thanks for watching 🎉
Good morning what about the specifications &price
clear an warm sound stones,as good as double top
This guitar sounds light and thin, the 'back and sides' construction appears merely standard and not well thought out for supporting the air flow for increased resonance of the double top construction. Further, the trebles sound twangy, and the basses are not very sustaining, over-all the guitar is lacking a unique sound character one one expect from a 30K guitar,....just using descriptive words does not make it a good guitar, someone's dreaming in color here! For a nice sounding, fair priced double top go with a Fritz Mueller, or just get a nice Philip Woodfield, both renown for their top quality and unmistakable sound, skip the hype and inflated egos, LOL!
It sounds to me like we are hearing different things, and that's okay! I hear a guitar that is true and clear. The two guitars you mentioned are very nice, but are of a different sound signature entirely. I've grown to very much like these super clear, responsive instruments, including this one which I think it beyond exceptional. These aren't colorful words, but honest thoughts. I very much enjoy the instruments by Fritz Mueller and Woodfield (and have owned many of the later). It also sounds like these instruments you might just be more familiar with and are partial to. Anyhow, thanks for the comment, even though it feels quite rough around the edges.
@@itstheguitarcollectionI think we are hearing the same things, we just have a difference of opinion over those sounds. The standard back bracing construction is not exceptional, it produces exactly the sound you would expect when teamed with a double top sound board, clear and responsive it may be, but that pretty much sums up most decent classical guitars on the market today. Perhaps my "rough around the edges" comment may actually be the sticker shock of this Kobs at 28K, this current market certainly offers a lot more bang for your buck by luthiers more deserving,...imo. That said, I am sure someone out there with $$$ will buy this guitar and love it.
I want to hear the doubletop guitar you made!!
@@itstheguitarcollection LOL, IKR, having definite opinions around "experts" is a rub for many. Though having real understanding of double top guitar construction physics, teamed with a good studio rapport with many fine builders, who all have told me I should start building guitars, with some even offering me space in their studios and to teach me the ropes, all because they know my love of luthiership, my knowledge of air movement physics, characteristics of hardwood curing, and luthiership history. One thing is for sure,... I would immediately start with the designs of Dammann who re-imagined Boucher, and Mueller who gave Hauser and Humphrey a real good study. We are currently in a guitar world with too many chiefs and not enough Indians, love many trust few, but always paddle your own canoe. ;-)
@@00vTv00 I would be fascinated to see what you come up with! I fear you'll believe you'll have made the best guitars in the world, and anyone that doubts it you'll immediately know is wrong because of your firm beliefs. Hmm, actually, come to think of it, that sounds like the personality signature of some of the worst builders, players, and artists as a whole. In any case, it's easy to put down the efforts of these great luthiers over a matter of preference, which undoubtedly you've developed, as have the great players who actually chose this style of instrument. Personally, I find joy in the fact that each instrument is like a magic wand finding the player. I've been in many rooms where one player matches perfectly with one guitar, and the next player makes it sound terrible! Of course, both people being very capable top-level players with beautiful tone. To speak in absolutes like you have, even going as far as pointing out what you seem to know as the flaw in a specific part of it's construction, is where I see the issue. Anyways, I hope you focus your efforts on building or something in the guitar world. It seems your account is rather anonymous, so I'm not sure how I'll follow, but I'd love to put a face (or a guitar) to the name, 00vTv00. As far as me, I'll keep enjoying and appreciating guitars, no matter how different they are. I hope you'll enjoy videos to come in which I play guitars your like more :)
Hi
Do you know they style of double top? It seems natural, balsa core?
I also think this one sounds really natural! It's nomex! To be honest, I don't really relate nomex vs balsa to being more natural vs synthetic. Has more to do with everything else, in my opinion.
Well this guitar changed my idea of that. This guitar sounds amazing
Lagrima perfect en sounds incredible on that gitaar
Sweet! Sounds great and that Brazilian rosewood is stunning
How do you ever manage to let them go?
It’s hard, but this one was never mine, selling it on consignment. I wish I could keep it 😭
Beautiful sounding guitar. I have one "Garrido" made in Madrid, Spain with about 50 years old that is very alike in looks and feel. I wish I would have a freshly made like that one. Amazing sound! Amazing playing. Congrats
Astonishing.
Very beautiful sound, gorgeous guitar !
Many thanks!!
Really bad this one! Lots of clarity and strength but very stiff and nasal lattice sound and believe it or not someone will be interested in paying lots of money for it. We live in a crazy world!
Smooth and creamy tone on every string! This guitar has a really atmospheric resonance. Love the looks too. Simplicity is often all that’s needed.
that is so beautiful designed classical guitar by Houser II
I am really love German guitar made by German that so good ,warm sound as same as Houser guitars
..a great sounding guitar,as though,amplifed,.. with richness of sound, especially the bass strings.... curious of the price?.
I love this guitar!!! Everything is listed on the website :) Link in description!
Great guitar ❤
A fine instrument will play us.
Sir good presentation and a beautiful guitar, however what's the point? It's as if somebody presented a Stradivarri. We know theyre both great, and unreachable by 99 percent of musicians.
Beautiful instruments should be heard. I believe the point is inherently obvious.
@@itstheguitarcollection Sir thank You for answer. However, inherently obvious is only the fact, that these instruments should be heard in concerts, not in a demonstration, road test type of format.
@@jackkurasik8371 This instrument is for sale. Which is why I'm demonstrating it. I disagree that this instrument only deserves to be heard in concerts. Plenty of people with real appreciation for instruments like these can enjoy them in their home. And it seems that aside for yourself, most people are enjoying the recording and in this format. The reality is, that in large concert halls, this instrument will likely have be amplified, losing much of the value of the instrument's nuances in the first place. Besides that, most people wouldn't choose this instrument for performing large concerts. I put a lot of care into showing every string of the instrument and a variety of musical examples. This helps us have a better understanding of the true sound of the instrument. No reverb, no enhancement, and no hearing it from 150 rows back in an audience. There is a lot of undeniable value, which leaves me confused at your comment.
man so glad I got on Mr Aboutalebian's waitlist! excited for my guitar next spring! they are really terrific
