Simple. This type of pump does not alter timing, only delivery volume based on the rack position by governor input. I will be performing this operation on an old Simms pump very soon post rebuild.

And they'll go about 40 years before the seals and flex ring deteriorate and need replaced. The p and a Bosch pump are excellent for delivering huge amounts of fuel, and they are very durable. They are complex and expensive. Bosch distributor pumps are null-acht fünfzehn.

The best way to repair a cav pump, is to replace it with a stanadyne unit.
Stanadynes are crap the best pumps are made by Bosch
