Hey Lazy Legion! I'm away in Japan right now, but I'll have a new video ready in a week! Until then, enjoy this long compilation of the best horror so far this year - perfect for falling asleep to. Stay spooky ;)

Regarding the 'Dry Dock' story, it seems likely the man is homeless, and just so happened to have a hatchet in case he needed to defend himself. Unfortunately, homeless people are far, far more likely to be assaulted. Although it's scary to see in the picture, after you think about it some more, it becomes kinda sad. There's actually an interesting explaination for the faceless people on the train. It could be the case that the person in question had a minor stroke and fell prey to a prosopagnosic episode. Usually prosopagnosia is a life-long facial recognition defect in the brain but it can come in smaller doses after a stroke. Not quite buying it face value as a real experience, but the "Waiting Room" bit with the scary pale guy & the doctor from the memory- that's a solid, terrifying & original piece of horror fiction! (I hope) Belongs in a 5-star horror film 🎥

Ruth Price sadly did pass away, but NOT from the attack. As a Native myself (timbisha Shoshone) we keep these stories hush/hush and are rarely talked about. Our elders have the best ones from their own experience in their younger days. But they NEVER talk about them, only when they're trying to educate and people usually don't take our stories seriously anyway just "crazy Indian legends". Usually it's on the belief that if you speak about it, you can potentially speak it into existence.
I do! I love this channel so much. I barely watch any tv anymore. My free time is listening to horror stories. I used to listen to sleep but I bought a fan lol I always wondered how we don't have morbid dreams??
In "I'm Glad I Hate My Neighbor," it was clearly a hit man right? The neighbor knew about the cameras and deliberately established that he *would* harm his neighbor but he'd only slash tires and he'd wear a mask. Then he hired a guy and probably instructed him to kill him in front of the house knowing it would be on camera. But the narrator had someone else with him and since the hit man *didn't* know about the cameras he didn't want to be seen so he abandoned ship. Likely the neighbor wanted to kill him for years but knew that it would come back to him. When the narrator installed the cameras he thought he was offering a deterrent but it was actually an opportunity. The neighbor took a few days to plan and scheme and find some crack head willing to kill for money. His only mistake was that he stopped slashing the tires. If he had missed a day and came back with a mask it would have been assumed that he either noticed the cameras or always wore a mask. By missing several days and trying to establish his alibi on the same day as the planned hit he set off a bunch of red flags in my head.
The “hitman” got in the car at the gas station though, how would the neighbor know he was going to be at that specific gas station? Better question, how would he know he would be out of town visiting family to start putting a plan into motion?
The old man in the house... Seems clear that he squatted there. He told the user that fantastical tale and made him promise not to ever go in in an attempt at reverse psychology. Had the user gone in, they would have been another one of those skeletons
I have a very important deadline and I have been on edge during these two weeks to the point of only sleeping four or five hours and not eating properly, today I almost had a panic attack because thing were not looking good with my project. Your video came at the right time, it took my mind from all the numbers and complicated stuff and gave me a moment to relax. So Lazy just to let you know that I really apreciate your work!
Hi lazy! I don’t know what to say other then I really enjoy your videos! I’ve been in a dark place since my father passed away, you’re videos were kinda a place to run away, as strange as it sounds. Thank you for always making videos. Keep it up!

Hang on to Thais brief moments,I know it feels like you will always be in that horrible dark void but hang on to the glimpse of light and they will get longer and longer . I know it won’t ever be the same but it won’t always feel this overwhelming. I am so sorry you have to go through this
The "I'm Glad I Hate My Neighbor" story reminds me of a story I read years ago about a girl driving home with a car following behind her flashing their high beams every so often. The girl drove around and around hoping they'd leave her alone, eventually calling the police only to find out there had been someone with a knife in her backseat, and anytime he went to make a move the car behind her turned the high beams on so she would look back and the man with the knife would hide again. Haven't thought of that story in ages lol
Your voice is so relaxing. I always put videos I've already heard on and fall asleep to them. My husband hates it because he says he wakes up to freaky shit lol
You can rest easy knowing the woman survived and fought off the attacker! She died of unrelated causes years later but the story of her being murdered is a fake just made up to condition new recruits. All good! Edit: this was just found out a couple weeks ago, like, beginning of 2022. So I’m not just spouting my own theories
Lazy, I listen to your stuff when going to bed pretty regularly. That 911 dispatch call was the first time it’s ever been to much for me to handle and I had to pause the video to calm myself. Good stuff, mad respect to 911 dispatchers. I can’t sit through a recording of a call, I can’t imagine the hell they go through.
Any story that starts with the Silence phenomenon in the woods always unnerves me because I’ve felt it myself. And have my own terrifying story from it.
Dude, I love your voice when you’re talking in these stories, it really gives me a scenery of the stories! It sounded like I was always in each story!!! Lovin’ it! 👍.
The incident with the mysterious voice on the phone isnt as uncommon as you think. Ive mainly heard stories about it with radios though. The military would use a station to deliver coded messages to each other at certain time. I feel so bad that the poor lady was so terrified by it and honestly if i didnt know what i did now, i would be too
It’s literally just an automated weather service (AWS*)system that pilots tune into to get the current weather at a certain location. Seems to be military because of NORAD (North American aerospace defense command) which is known to be heavily involved with weather analysis for North America. The “Alert Con” is short for alert conditions (high winds, hail, thunderstorms, icing). However starting from “security tracing in progress” it isn’t like a normal weather report. It seems more like some backend system that tries to link up with other weather stations? Nothing ominous though
@@Spit823 Yeah. My dad was a pilot, both military(helicopters) and fixed wing(citizen commercial) When I heard that I instantly thought weather update or maybe drill but I've heard that monotone voice a few times as a kid when I would be at the hangar or--because my dad flew private for one company--in the plane. Basically he took me on ride alongs when I was real young. He's retired now and this was the 80's so I can say this now:he'd put me in his lap and let me hold the yoke and even turn, but it was always at his direction; totally innocent. If people heard about that now they'd freak.
you are one of the best scary narrators on youtube. Your true scary story compilations are sure proof that truth is stranger than fiction. get up the great scary work.
Same. I'm pretty sure I have very little to no native roots but fuck. I refuse to say their name. It's like bad juju, like thinking about Satan at night
The dispatch call was part of my training. I was a 911 operator for 4 years or so. This call gave me the creeps so much. It was always in the back of my mind when I would answer the phone. If it weren't for this call, I could have lost a caller one day. All I got was her address before she stopped talking and breathing. This is one of the calls that I'll never forget.
I listen to these stories a lot but the one with Lori and the 911 call of Ruth Price are one of the ones that I never manage to forget despite having such horrible memory. My heart goes out to both of them. I hope you're both at peace.
Apparently Ruth survived, it’s super old so idk if any articles are available but multiple comments have stated TH-cam videos have been made & despite the horror of the call she made it out safely, afterwards she died later in the 90s while being in her late 80s. Proud of her for getting through it & continuing to live. Up until right now reading the other comments I didn’t know she survived & I also had no idea it happened so long ago.
I've only recently found your channel, and I'm totally hooked! Been listening to your previous ones for hours.. You are a truly compelling story teller and have a sensitive and respectful way of telling some horrendous real life crimes, at the same time voicing the horror the subjects endured. I also love the spookier, paranormal stories which you make sound totally credible. Most of your stories I've never heard before, so thanks for all the research you clearly do and for making these gripping stories come alive.
These videos of yours always get to me . But it adds a different kind of taste to my life. My nights are no longer as innocent as before. Makes me more cautious and aware of what is really out there in the world. And for that I thank you lazy! No one comes close to how talented you are on this genre of videos! Also that train one! 😱
I normally listen to such stories almost on a daily bases, meaning I don't react in any way hardcore (cry, panic, etc.). But the police call they use for training... I got goosebumps, my eyes started to water and my belly and throat clenched like crazy. My body never reacted so hardcore when listening to creepy/horror stories. Holy moly. My eyes are still watering!!
There's actually a pretty innocent explanation for the phone one. It was probably just a phreaker. For those who don't know, phreaking was basically hacking for phones. Phreaking enthusiasts reverse engineered various telecommunications to try all sorts of creative things, but the most common thing was to make long-distance phone calls for free. It would explain why the message came and left so regularly. The message sounds like a phreaker was using the old lady's phone line to make calls and left that recording as a prank. The message itself doesn't mean anything, but it's probably meant to sound like a government code or something. These days, Phreaking really isn't a thing anymore. Since phone lines are computerized, you really can't mess with them like you used to.
The Red Sterling Mc'Bae my dumbass would troll and reply with “ooh! Are you looking for something? Like, treasure?”, “oh cool. I like to dig too!” Or some other thing just to mess with him lol.
Enjoyed every single story, what a fantastic collection and I especially like the little background noises, it really lifts the eeriness to a whole new level. Thank you :)

I genuinely love your channel so much. You feel like a friend and tell stories so well! I’ve been subbed such a long time and don’t regret it one bit. Have fun in Japan!
What made the other stories creepy was because it was actually believable or possible. The Train one was just outright made to be creepy, and so failed to be creepy.
It went from, "Oh no, are they going to get stuck all night on some maintenance car?" to "Oh sounds like mannequins...did they wander onto some burner car for a training exercise?" to, "Oh. Okay."
The Ruth Price call was recently solved!!! She DID survive the attack and I believe the criminal was simply trying to steal or something similar. She's did okay after this encounter and died in the 90s in her late 80s If I remember correctly.
That Ruth one is so unnerving, my goodness. I thought her case was on an episode of Forensic Files. Hmm. I can only pray that it's not. At the end of her call it sounds like she's saying, "He's stabbing me!" before dropping the phone. She doesn't say anything about being beaten or hit.
I just did some quick poking around in some of my genealogy sources, newspapers specifically, and I actually got a few hits. There's one that is a good possibility. (When an obit lacks a cause of death, if it's from before the early aughts they tend to really stand out.) Do you have any idea when you might have seen the episode?
@@aliciahaggland8153 ruth is an old lady in an apartment, and someone is being shady around there so she calls the police, be managed to get in somehow quietly and attacked her It's actually fake dont worry it's for training to remain calm as the officer

But they NEVER talk about them, only when they're trying to educate and people usually don't take our stories seriously anyway just "crazy Indian legends". Usually it's on the belief that if you speak about it, you can potentially speak it into existence.
marley hendrix ok that makes sense

A psycho says what?
No, it's a made up story
@@visassess8607How so?
But then why bother to slash the tires?
The “hitman” got in the car at the gas station though, how would the neighbor know he was going to be at that specific gas station? Better question, how would he know he would be out of town visiting family to start putting a plan into motion?
The old man in the house... Seems clear that he squatted there. He told the user that fantastical tale and made him promise not to ever go in in an attempt at reverse psychology. Had the user gone in, they would have been another one of those skeletons

OML YES xD
The "I'm Glad I Hate My Neighbor" story reminds me of a story I read years ago about a girl driving home with a car following behind her flashing their high beams every so often. The girl drove around and around hoping they'd leave her alone, eventually calling the police only to find out there had been someone with a knife in her backseat, and anytime he went to make a move the car behind her turned the high beams on so she would look back and the man with the knife would hide again. Haven't thought of that story in ages lol
I think that's in Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark!
That's a very well-known urban legend...

My cat was napping. As soon as that voice message ended and the deep tone played she woke up terrified, jumping up and scratching my arm
Any story that starts with the Silence phenomenon in the woods always unnerves me because I’ve felt it myself. And have my own terrifying story from it.
It is a very distinct feeling and atmosphere shift

Woke up to screaming too. Lol. Poor lady
Dude, I love your voice when you’re talking in these stories, it really gives me a scenery of the stories! It sounded like I was always in each story!!! Lovin’ it! 👍.
I can assure you, as a resident for many years, Connecticut is where everything starts to sour. Everything.
The incident with the mysterious voice on the phone isnt as uncommon as you think. Ive mainly heard stories about it with radios though. The military would use a station to deliver coded messages to each other at certain time. I feel so bad that the poor lady was so terrified by it and honestly if i didnt know what i did now, i would be too
i think moreso spooky to her because she used to be govt?? so getting those calls to your personal number would be creepy asf
Most people have cell-phones now, but it wasn't uncommon for land-lines to have crossed.
@@DrakemiserHonestly you flying that plane isn’t any different from me sitting in my dads lap and “driving” lol

Eleatta Ford hey how r u?
That 911 call is literally so terrifying, you can really hear the absolute terror in her voice..

He's been WATCHING you for three years. Creep! Lol

I had goosebumps all over my arms because of the first one and the story with the doctor and Tom, holy shit. Good job ;P
I WANNA KNOW MORE
That one was well written.
Really? Source? 🤔
I love Let’s Read! His voice is smooth as silk. 🖤
I’m just gonna throw it out there that mange is perfectly curable...
And highly contagious genius
