Glad to see they used proper 4:3 screen modes for the native games! I think it's safe to say all games play great on the Alpha, just as long as you also have a controller handy... Alpha Deluxe owners will officially have a pad, all part of the machine. 😉 To be honest tho they should do something similar like the C64 mini, whatever control method launches the game that control then defaults as player one. That way we coukd keep the pad plugged in at all times! @06:57 that was cool how your face shows up on the screen in the side your playing lol. Thanks again Crazy for showing us the latest! 🙂👍
well, that's about everything I wanted the update to do. I'm halfway thinking of a donut dodo marquee and a woodgrain shelf-paper makeover. to look like a cabaret cab
Donut Dodo looks great on there! I’m going to hold off though to see what other alpha models Blaze come up with. A Namco Arcade one would convince me I think 😊
Great stuff! So glad to see these fixes rolling out in a timely fashion in contrast to the several months it took Blaze to sort out the Donut Dodo excessive loading times issue. Just thinking how cool it would be if Blaze released an Indie Arcade Heroes cart later next year alongside a bare bones Alpha without the built in licensed games and with Indie Heroes artwork like Donut Dodo on the cabinet. I'd be onboard with that for sure :-) Keep up the awesome work!
The library feature is great, once you need to find a particular game among the dozens of cartridges with aimilar names and covers. It gets confusing pretty quickly and I came to like the Library as a way to keep track of your collection.
Crazy, was your Alpha sent via Royal Mail? I have this unsightly image in my head of the postman being lost behind the Alpha box with extra controllers, Tate grips, extra marquees and new carts all stacked on top of it lol. I hope they spread things out over a couple of days.🤞 Thanks in advance! 👍
No it was sent by DHL. Though I doubt it'll be sent from the warehouse that way. Think it was DPD they used for larger stuff. I can't remember. You might have more than 1 box here.
I've noticed on some arcade games like Saint Dragon, it saves your initials and position on the score board but not the actual score. Just shows the default scores with new initials

Turbo and configurable controls:remapping are just huge quality of life features.
Thanks for the continuing updates 😀
Cool ! Nice to see these day one patches - can't wait to get mine on Christmas Day
Great pressie to wake up to!

Donut Dodo looks a perfect fit for the Alpha. Looking forward to 2 weeks time
...
Bruh, you're really good at Donut Dodo. Keep up the great work :)
Glad Dodo is working, just ordered a copy to play on it!
Nice, it's a decent cart.
It's a GREAT cart ;)

Odd..
Blaze would probably love to know that, could you submit a bug report?
Isnt out yet and already updates. Not bad.
Might be even more by the time 28th November hits. So far so good.
For some reason, I don't know what the Evercade Alpha is, despite supporting the Evercade since launch...
@@Cyberbrickmaster1986 it's basically a countertop arcade machine. 16" high. In built capcom games, with ability to play Evercade Carts.
@@CrazyBurger To be honest, I actually have heard of the Evercade Alpha. I just forgot about it, because I haven't looked into it for quite some time.
Would be nice to actually get my hands on an Evercade VS-R, before even thinking about an Alpha. Not that I’m bitter and twisted. 🤬.
Still waiting? Who did you order from? I gave up with that.
