18V+ WL915 running 5S battery on stock motor+esc !

- My first test with 5s battery running 18+ volts in the wltoys wl915 . My boat has CNC ALU prop , and new servo! It does NOT run hot on 5s! Maybe because of the alu prop. My experience is that these boats get warmer with the stock prop even on 3s
What kind of servo did you upgrade too???

Max speed? No problems in 5s? Can i use with stock prop? or you recomend to bought another? Like What? How do you conect the two batteries? Thanks

Hello. I would recommend small batteries with the same cell-size. Batteries are connected in series for higher voltage. If you connect in parallel you will not get higher volt.
Please remember there is a risk with this. I had problems with orginal steering servo going crazy running 4s. New servo have no problem with 5s, but there is a risk for frying electronics, tho mine had no problem with it and still works!
Small batteries in series give boat better stability also.

Tommy I just bought this. 5s doesn’t burn the brushless? Previously I saw the 4s video his boat obviously can’t handle the speed, urs seem very stable.
Worked fine on my brushless. Small 3s+2s in series give better stability to boat. I have tested bigger 4s but boat handles like crap with big 4s battery. Smaller batteries in series to 5s give better speed and better stability. I have upgraded prop and servo. Stock servo went crazy on 4s. New servo no problem. Bigger prop give more speed with result in better cooling flow and better cooling for esc and motor
How long can you run it before it starts to get hot?
Is that 1000 mah 5s? Is stock motor 1900kv out runner? ThaNks
my one sounds unhealthy on Idle at 4S ..sounds like timing errors ?

He is running the batteries in series.
Negative of first battery to negative on esc/power input. Positive of first battery to negative of second battery. Positive of second battery to positive on esc/power input. Lots of videos on YT, you can make up your own harness😎

I have plans to do a speed testing video with different props and different batteries , but i dont know how fast i will be able to do it. It have to match with having time for it - AND weather conditions so the water is flat 😁
