Also: Who pays out for the damage of a hydrolocked engine.? The responsibility for paying for the damage caused by a hydrolocked engine typically depends on the circumstances surrounding the incident. Here are some potential scenarios: Insurance Coverage: If the vehicle owner has comprehensive or collision insurance, they may be able to file a claim with their insurance company to cover the repair costs. However, coverage can vary based on the policy and the specific circumstances of the incident. Negligence or Liability: If the hydrolocking was caused by someone else's negligence (for example, if a road was improperly marked as flooded), that party may be liable for the damages. In such cases, the affected driver could pursue a claim against the responsible party. Owner Responsibility: If the driver knowingly drove through flooded areas despite warnings or signs, they may be held responsible for the damage to their vehicle. Insurance may not cover the costs if the driver is found to be at fault. Manufacturer Warranty: If the vehicle is still under warranty and the hydrolocking is due to a manufacturing defect, the manufacturer may cover the repair costs, although this is less common.
I'm surprised! The air intake is right at the start of the bonnet. That said, the intake tube goes down and comes back up to the filter in a U shape, maybe that's why it was fine.
I am just wondering. Do people have so much money, that if they hydrolock the engine they just get a new car the day after? Do they understand the perils of water in the engine or we are witnessing total oblivion with NPC's, perhaps?
