Saved for future reference. This made it look so easy.
Because it actually is. Knowledge is power. I tried with my own car, got it for 600, when market value is about 900. Then did the same for my folks and saved them close to 400K as well. The only place u spend is now with the clearing company, coz u pay them to do the car registration for u and clearance.

Yes. There is a site I have placed in the description where u can check exact KRA charges. You can bargain with the seller on the purchase price.

It depends on the details of the car like year and month of manufacture, engine size, etc

Its simple if you follow the steps as articulated. I did my own car like this.... all by myself.

It cost about 1.4 to get the RVR, while market value is at 1.8 to 1.9
Once you have done the payments how many weeks it has taken to reach mombasa port
Its about 4 to 8 weeks from payment to when its at the port.
