It was told that when the guitarist came into the studio to do the solos, that when he was done the studio was dead silent, and tears were in everyone's eyes.
Bob Seger is a great rock singer, songwriter & musician known for his raspy powerful voice. He wrote & recorded songs that dealt with love, women & blue-collar themes. "Turn The Page" is my favorite song by him. But he has so many great songs especially in the 70's-80's such as "Mainstreet", "Still The Same", "Ramblin' Gamblin' Man", "Hollywood Nights", "Against The Wind", "You'll Accomp'ny Me", "Shame On The Moon", "Roll Me Away", "Shakedown", "We've Got Tonight", "Old Time Rock & Roll" etc.
This is a great song by Bob Seger, it was used in the Chevrolet, commercial a good many years back probably where you heard the hook phrase from it, but was a great song by Bob Seger, he has a great voice he's a great song writer and musician he's outstanding
The train was like passing time. All those people on the other side of the track were his memories, people he knew, places in time... Memories... The train passed and he drove on...
Bob's got a ton of hits! But I agree - Turn the Page! Great reaction! I could see Jim peering into his memory banks - agreeing with some of the lyrics. Great Job!
Such a classic song and my favorite music video of all time. The symbolism of the video becomes more relevant with every passing year - like the passing rail cars (years) and visualizing the younger self on the opposite side of the tracks. This song's greatest exposure was in Chevrolet truck television advertisements from 1991 until 2004 for their massively successful "Like a Rock" campaign. Bob Seger explicitly chose to do this advertising campaign to support the struggling auto industry in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
I’m almost 70. I used to tell my wife, when we were dating fifty years ago, “It will take a silver bullet to kill me.” Now, a couple microscopic germs could do it.

This is just a fabulous song. My favorite and that guitar is just beautiful.
One of best bands ever
As he watches the train cars go by it is like a year after a year after a year... remembering his past....
When I grew up it was 10 foot tall and bullet proof! "Turn the Page"!

Not a bad song in all his albums.
I love Bob Seger's song, especially this one and "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll".

The guitarist is Rick Vito
Love his voice
Like a Rock was used in Chevy Truck commercials
It was Chevy Truck song for 10 years.
Bob does play guitar, but Drew Abbott is the guitar player for the band.
Another great song by Bob Seger, you may want to react to is "SHAME ON THE MOON" hope you can give it a try. Thanks
he is great
Great song. Just that one lyric, ¨like a rock charging from the gate¨ kinda gives me a chuckle. Still very good stuff.
Hard against the wind...🙏🥰🙏
Nice 👍👍
I always thought that he wrote the song about himself as he often wrote from personal experiences but not sure with this one.
Awesome reaction/ can you please react to Alvin Lee/ the bluest blues.
