I've never clicked on a video so fast. 😂 I've been eyeballing the 2025 Tahoe since they first debut. The new interior looks amazing, and I'm looking forward to buying the RST trim with the 3.0L Duramax.
I watch many many car review videos and this is one of the ones that when you look at it, you say to yourself they are going to sell every single one they build
@@killashee7742lifter failure occurs even on models without DOD, and on models with the DOD system disabled. It’s linked to low oil pressure or insufficient oil control (I.e. clogged VLOM filter, clogged oil flow passages); carbon build up on intake valves pistons; insufficient OCIs, poor and oil quality. Changing the VLOM filter preemptively, following earlier OCIs with super high quality oil (Amsoil Signature, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum, etc), not skipping with engine tun-ups, flushing engine during engine tune-ups, using detergent fuel, cleaning intake, using a catch can; all of those things can help. You can also upgrade the stock oil pump to a higher volume / higher pressure oil pump from Melling, but I’d first research what causes the oil pressure issues in the first place and then you’d know which solution it set of solutions that will help correct the root problem. The disabling plug-ins are probably beneficial but they don’t appear to be consistently effective. But then there are the transmission problems, especially the drum and torque converter.
It’s also nice to see the High Country trim get some loving, although the bronze accents looked nice it doesn’t pair well with every exterior color. I appreciate the new black exterior accents on the HC trim level, it looks gorgeous paired with this new blue exterior paint. The black accents even complement the High Country’s famous brown mocha leather interior nicely. This configuration is the best execution of the Tahoe I’ve seen yet! MAJOR upgrades for 2025 that are much appreciated. Great job Chevrolet. I’m genuinely impressed with this refresh.
I know that tablet style infotainment on the Yukon is supposed to be the upgrade but the landscape screen here looks better and fits the interior better
The 2021 Tahoe would’ve been a great competitor to the new competition in this segment today but with these 2025 updates I heard Mortal Combat’s “FATALITY” when I saw the thumbnail. Tahoe has never been so well executed. I’m sure people will choose these now even if they don’t necessarily need a large third row or the towing capabilities simply because they were designed so well! This time it’s definitely a hard choice between this Tahoe and the GMC Yukon.
I think it looks good!! Can't wait for the head to head comparison between this and the all new expedition! Also can you guys also do a night time review of both the expedition and the new Tahoe as well.
Idk why people hate on the expedition? The new Yukon copied the last generation expedition with the huge tablet and the interior for the Tahoe looks like a minivan.
Chevy will probably have close to 65% marketshare with this refresh. It finally gets the interior it deserves, and the exterior is way more cohesive and better finished. GM pulls off the the divorced headlamp design better than anyone in the business. I think I finally like the Chevy over the GMC this round for sure. Hopefully they didn't go too crazy on prices.
That interior color is really pretty on the high country models. I’ll admit, it is a really nice looking car. I kinda wish they could change up that rear center area with the climate systems. It seems like they’ve been using that design forever and it does look kind of cheap and out of place. Otherwise, it’s a cool and fancy truck-based SUV.
@@derekgaliee4351yep! I’m sure that console gets kicked and beat up a lot but it looks like it can withstand that type of thing from a family and for a while. It would’ve been nice if they updated the digital panel though so i agree. I love that the Yukon equipped with rear executive package has a new centerpiece. Tahoe redesign shall be lethal.
I am very happy with my 2020 Expedition, but for 2025 I would much prefer this. Ford went all digital in the interior which is horrible for anyone who actually uses the car with kids and people and stuff. Good on GM for giving physical buttons for the most important items. And a column based shifter! Glad they fixed that mistake.
Hello! Here in the Philippines, we still have the 2024 model tahoe and it is offered in only 1 trim and it's a V8 gas. But the downside here is the price. Double than the SRP being offered there in the US. But this new 2025 model, and in high country trim is so nice! I also love that Chevy came back with the stalk shifter and it is much more practical. Hoping that Chevy might still offer the diesel version here, when they bring in the new 2025 model. Very nice review and I love it! God Bless always!!!😊❤️🇵🇭
Those big wheels definitely get it up into the Slades class for wheels. And that big 6.2L V8 just kicks sand all over Ford's puny little TTV6s. If it looks this good it likely drives even better. Chevy Tahoe: Nailed it, Chevy! The Expedition looks like a video game in comparison (and that is not a compliment.)
The only thing they're missing the third-row center headrest!! That is a major safety concern. Not to mention the new traverse and equinoxes have them. For the price I hope it has concerning lights or adaptive. Maybe they could've added a mild hybrid for better fuel economy. But that's probably what the 3.0 is for!
The Tahoe is loaded but needs rear ventilated seats & rear sunshades GM should’ve made the Silverado in gas & electric forms not just make it an EV.. Looking like the Avalanche but better
The one thing I don’t like about GM is they don’t put the sensor on the back of the handle. You have to press the button. Not the passive entry I’m used to.
The Tahoe still needs to be updated to be an SUV on par with the Escalade. They should invest more in infotainment and new technology inside the cabin. Love, Drew.
I wouldn't really compare it to the Yukon since its basically the same car, but I would compare it to the expedition and I think its far better than the expedition.
Can’t believe there are not dual wireless charging pads in first row. Also, no ventilated second row seats is 👎🏽. Love the lift glass in the cargo lift gate.
I have a 2012 Chevy Tahoe, and I can fold the back seat completely with just the press of a button. I don't understand why they don't offer that feature anymore
Overall, the new Tahoe looks like it could be a really nice truck and a good option against the new GMC Yukon Denali. But I wonder what it'll come in at for cost since the current year goes for around 80+k and these new trucks tend to go for about 10k more than the going out model. Honestly surprised they don't have a hybrid for these trucks yet. Overall, nice truck, great review guys as always.
The HUD is inside of there and no it doesn't block the view out of the front. I think it just looks weird because the previous hood over the gauges is gone now.
@@CarConfections Thanks. I even had to look up that HUD means heads-up display. Life has past me by. I don't want all the electronics. I just read this from Chevrolet Newsroom: "...and lowering the instrument panel increase the perceived space for driver..." So maybe the HUD part of the dash could not be lowered and that could explain the bump.
@@derekgaliee4351that diesel has a rear timing belt. You have to remove tranny to change it every 100k. Very expensive work. It’s a foreign diesel engine
Chevrolet and GMC are still determined to compete with John Deere with these low rear wheel assist arms, they're about to be used to till farm soil! It's the only reason I'm not buying it, every thing else is perfect.

They NAILED this interior a lot more than the Expedition. Keeping physical controls for the climate and steering wheel were big brain moves.
Can't go wrong with either
Expedition is a joke.
@@twistedstyles really why do you say that?

Yep, it’s always nice to have a physical steering wheel.

Ford tried to out GM...GM and failed miserably. This is one class that GM does not mess around with.
