one thing i love is that although the apology wasn't perfect, this is the first time that i've seen a bl series that had a non-consensual scene and address it properly. every other series treated like just another normal part of the relationship development or that deep down the other person liked it so it doesn't matter in the long run to endgame, but it does matter and should be addressed with the agressor admitting they were wrong and shouldn't have done it. that scene gave me a love for kinnporsche that i didn't really have for other series that put in that subject.

@@oleander_garden If you're referring to the scene between Korn and Pharm when Pharm was cooking at his apartment, yes I agree. But if you are, I hope you are one of the few who know the distinction between Korn and Dean. A lot of people seem to think it was Dean but it wasn't, it was Korn.
@@kiramakishima7836 YES EXACTLY I WAS SAYING, I literally got "cancelled" back then for defending Dean because I'm saying that it was not Dean, but it was Korn who crossed the line and people are not getting my point 😭
@@doiedonawt Yup, I totally get you. Some people have trouble understanding that Dean's body is being shared by 2 spirits. One is Dean's and the other is Korn's. Korn is the one who took over Dean's body at the time and went ahead and did the actions. When Pharm reacted, Korn's spirit realized it wasn't Intouch but Pharm and released Dean's body back to Dean. Dean was left to deal with the consequences and felt guilty about letting Korn take over and do that to Pharm.
So Dean told Pharm 'he would never let it happen again' because at the time Pharm didn't realize that it wasn't Dean in control and Dean didn't want to tell him. This is much different from the one in KinnPorsche where Kinn actually WAS the one responsible for doing what he did. And when he apologized for it later on, it was all on him. He had no one to blame but himself. Dean's situation was different because it actually wasn't him. It was his body yes. But it wasn't Dean himself.
If you think about it, Dean isn't the type of person to do something like that to Pharm. It just doesn't make any sense, especially since Dean and Pharm aren't together at the time and are just getting to know eachother. On the other hand, Korn and In's relationship is much further progressed and their love has been around for over 30 years now. Therefore, since Korn believed Pharm was In at the time that's probably why he did what he did because he knew In would have no problem with it. And it makes perfect sense why he'd do something like that.
You can also tell it wasn't Dean's spirit in control bc directly after his spirit got control back the look on his face was very confused and shocked. That's because he hadn't expected Korn's spirit to take over. His expression is like, 'what just happened? why did korn's spirit take over my body? how could he do that to pharm?' and then he's brought back to the present when Pharm turns around and faces him again. And Dean promises 'i will never do that again' but it's more of a subtle 'I will never let Korn take over like that again. I won't let him hurt you again like that.' kind of feeling to it. It's complicated.
That's probably why a lot of people don't seem to get it at first unless it's explained to them in great detail.
Yes, yes and yes. That apology scene. I was so proud of the character, Kinn, proud of the producers and directors. They got me fully reinvested in the romance. I believe Kinn cares. He messed up (putting it lightly) but he truly reflected, truly felt sorry and sincerely apologised.
The conversation in the fave part is new to the show. Honestly I love the show so much more than the book. It's so much better

The fact that Porsche keeps having exactly what kinn needs but let's him suffer than then be like oh I had this but I wanted to see if you can do it is hilarious 🤣🤣🤣 like him having a lighter when kinn was trying to make a fire or him having a knife so they can sharpen the stick 🤣❤️
You're absolutely right. Most BL that have non-consensual scenes (sexual assault) romanticize them, don't take them seriously, or even treat them like a gag. And the offender usually gets off scot-free. This is the first BL I've watched that had a non-consensual scene and then later seriously acknowledges it as something wrong and deserving of an apology at the very least. Although really, it's a crime that should be reported to the police, but Kinn is a mafia boss so...good luck with that. 😅 A sincere apology is probably the best outcome here. I'm glad they did this. This episode really was what I needed to get fully on board with this ship.
loved the ep. all i wanted were more wide shots of the beautiful scenery. so pretty.
You mentioning the 4th ep ”romantization of sa” etc. which i’ve seen elsewhere as well makes me realize i might be one of the only ppl who thought it was arranged pretty well and i saw it portrayed as a sad/very complicated scene? With the ”romantic” music and all of that what was shown. I may be wrong though and it may just be in my head but it was kinda surprising for me personally to see people come at the scene and saying it’s plainly romantizing sa.. 🤔 but idek rly what they had in mind with that exactly
I agree with you so much on this. I feel like the scene was obviously romanticised in multiple ways (music + cinematography) and we're not going to lie it's because they still wanted to have their first sex scene to be somewhat enjoyable for the viewers and not make everyone despise Kinn even though he was assaulting Porsche. However, I agree that the music was also sad and I feel like they were trying to depict the attraction they were feeling for each other while still making it melancholic telling the viewer that no what is happening rn is not a consensual relationship with joy and butterflies but sexual assault.
What I loved mostly about the conversation in the cave was the acknowledgement. The acknowledgement of what happened between us, how we feel about it (whether it was good or bad) and how we are moving forward.
Not any BL show has shown this and its something I always need to be discussed between both parties both in series and in the real world.
After drunken sex I always make sure to communicate these things
The acting are so good, the way Mile show the human Kinn is sooo good and touch.
I also agree with you, this conversation (and the way Porsche react to everything) between them show that they (as a series) understand whats happened that night, that it's not a romantic act or something.
I can't wait for the next episodes, this series definitely will be a mark in history of bls.

This ep showed us Kinn real side and I love it❤️😍they both kinda reliving their missed childhood n warmth of being with a loved one
Late to the game here, but I must say the source material was very, VERY problematic. In that case, Porsche is given some sort of combination of a sleep drug and a aphrodisiac. He’s aware, unset, and repeatedly saying “no” throughout, while Kinn has his way anyway, stating that he’s waiting for this moment. It’s painful and awful. I hated it.
When this episode was released, someone (maybe BOC?) also released information about the RL drug Porsche was given. It’s a common date rape drug that disorients, weakens, and lowers the victim’s inhibitions (making it easier to get them to go along with what’s happening). In this case, Porsche was terrified of Vegas, but does have a deep, subconscious attraction to Kinn, even though he’s not ready to acknowledge it. Kinn took it all as “consent enough,” and in the moment it was somewhat romantic to both parties. But then the day after happens, and you see Kinn doubting himself, and you see Porsche having a literal panic attack and actually crying when looking back with a clear mind. I liked how this had him looking back in the “romantic” scene from before like it’s a horror movie. And to Porsche, it was a horror movie.
Considering the book literally swept what happened under the rug, I’m glad they opened up on the topic. Not to mention Mile and other cast members were being sexually harassed by the novel writers during the original pre-production. There is a video of Mile talking about it, saying to ignore him smile, because he smiles when he’s nervous. He said it was unwanted, and something to take seriously. Which is why the novelists were booted off the project and pickup up again without them.
I shudder to think how the originally intended version would have gone…

I feel the director Pond and the cast included Kinn’s apology scene in this episode. The book was pretty sh*tty like the personality of Poi the writer who harassed everyone including Barcode. Hence I liked the series much more than the book. Hats off to the production, cast and crew. They could still be perfect and we could have S2 if the writers didn’t behave the way they did.

To be honest,
Back then, It was a little uncomfortable and kind of weird for me, watching two men or women kiss, touch, and have sex. I wasn't ok with it...
But, after watching KinnPprsche series, the way that these two gaze on eachother, they talk through their eyes! The way they touch, talk, smile and happy together!!! I realized that I'm watching two human being are in love and "love is love"...
Their chemistry is mezmorizing!
The cinemagraphy, perfect shots, lights, clothes..... everthing about this serie is perfect.... miles a head from any other BL series I've ever watched!!

It's so funny how in reality there are so many things happening similar between TharnType and KinnPorsche be it the toxic start n ppl canceling it n also the drama with writer n producer being weird. Also how both these series blowing up and becoming a phenomenon of their times😍I am glad to be a fan of them
Actually, as Tang Yi showed us, you only really need to cut off the thumb. The parallels with Trapped got me wondering... are we missing out on or special someones because we haven't been kidnapped, handcuffed and escaped into the woods?
My favourite thing this episode is that Kinn has chosen the entire time to keep Porsche with him and then he chooses to let him go. Two different incarnations of love.
Kinn is the worst about this concept of bodyguarding when it comes to Porsche. Porsche is supposed to save you, boo, not the other way around.
As I said before, it's happening again: I like the adaptation more than the original novel. Apart from the fact that it seems that the writers are problematic like their novel, the TEA is over the place.
Ep. 5 was my turning point because they gave me what I needed: Shame and guilt, in the case of people who didn't realise their "entanglement" was not consensual. But what I loved the most was they pointed out the real issue: the loss of trust, and now, in Ep. 6, was the opportunity to restore it.
Ep.6 Is the episode that makes me root for their love story because, If we have to be honest, in the novel, their relationship is an excellent example of Stockholm syndrome, so I didn't buy it.
Kudos to the scriptwriters, directors, and actors for sticking together and standing up for their vision.

While we all agree about the sexual assault... it was a vital part of the book same as them being kidnapped and stranded I the woods ... it's all I the book with much more graphics description, honestly the book is hard to read compared to the series this is much more light

But did Kinn actually apologise for the non-consensual sex/SA or did he apologise for crossing the line as a boss sleeping with his subordinate? I think it's the ladder! And my take on Porches words were not him being upset by either the boss or non-consensuel thing, but in reality he was upset about bottoming for the first time as a straight man...! But the wording is very ambigious, and things could be lost in translation as well, so maybe not - that's just my interpretation for the conversation.

I don't know about PP Krit but Jeff is multi talented musically. He not only sings but writes and arranges his own songs. This is like the 4th series he's composed an original song for. Plus playing guitar and piano.

@@tams6342 Hey! I just watched HeSheIt, which for some reason had never gotten around to... And I must say, Jeffs rendition of "Moment" in part 3 (It) blew my mind!! Like for real!! So much so, that I'm considering retracting the statement of PP Krit being better than Jeff 🤐 It's the amount of variety he has in his voice, and his way of controlling it, that makes the difference 🤩
