Very timely I am filing a nonprofit this week to restart a civil nuisance abatement program called Safe Streets Now that my father ran about 25 years ago. A lot of my network is heavy into real estate and dont need any more deductions, but they can afford to give and have good hearts and show great character. Win win
Question cut a foundation on real estate. I plan on opening and operating private foundation. Another question can excuse me. Should I purchase homes in the name of our trust for the family or for the name of the foundation and allow family members to live in them or reduce rates as compensation for the work they do for the organization? I’m just starting to get a team together to get these started and there are just a few questions I had in advance.
From what I understand, a direct donation to someone is not deductible. You would have to donate to a charitable organization, that in turn uses it to pay that persons bill.
In general, yes it would be tax deductible, because you are not paying the person, you are paying the charitable organization. There are limitations, such as if you try and only pay for the bills of family and friends, you'll get into trouble. A charity can't be setup to just help your family and friends. The easiest way to do this is create a Donor Advised Fund. It takes a few minutes on Fidelity, but remember, the funds you move into the DAF are not yours anymore. They belong to charities, even if you haven't decided which charities. The funds in a DAF must go to a registered charity. It can be a charity you create. The big benefit of a DAF is that the funds you put into it are deductible that year, even if you plan to distribute the funds overtime, plus, the funds can grow, like any brokerage account.
Nice video. Not a criticism, I enjoy your insights. I tend to think prices could go higher if XAI600K rockets. But understand the logic for sandbagging estimates. My opinion is XAI600K breaks 1, perhaps reaches 10 ATH, if conditions are right. But broader forces are at play now. We’re moving into really unknown territory. And these entities are shrewd. I think there’s massive manipulation ahead. If XAI600K survives that, well, we’re likely in for a good pump.

I just thought of a charity that's needed nationwide: school lunch charity.
Let me ask. if lets say I make $100k and tithe or give to church 10% can someone file that on tax. l was told you can't claim more than that
How is Rolex a charity? How can I research this????
