Thank you for remembering the life story of Hence Hicks and his son . May they all rest in peace . May i add that i admire both of your efforts in your story telling which is always done i such a dignified manner. Greetings from Derbyshire, England.
Another beautiful opening, Heather! You and Leo have done an impressive job telling this sad story of a farmer who was only trying to improve and live his life. Thank you, I look forward to your next video.
Thank ya'll for another interesting story. It's hard to imagine, even back then, someone having that kind of money on their person. I have had relatives that talked about putting money in the sugar bowl, flour can, burying it in a mason jar, even had an uncle that always smoked a pipe, and kept money in his old Prince Albert tobacco can. It's still hard to think how little money it takes for a thief to destroy so many lives. Thank ya'll for all that ya'll do to put these stories together, and bring them to us. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels to these locations.

Wonder how the son , Milford Hicks , received the gun shot wound a month later ? As for the bullet match to the gun , you would need the bullet that emerged from his forehead . Was it found ? Another great job , thanks again .

Sad story.
Interesting video, thank you very much Leo and Heather. Do you know if those two men convicted of Hence's murder died in prison, or were paroled?
Thank You. I'm not really sure.
@@thehillbillyfiles You are very much welcome! Thank you very much for getting back to me.
Hence is my 3rd cousin.
God is going to sort it all out one day and boy will those killers be sorry.😮
How sad what people will do for money-poor man
Possibly that $4100 would be like $95,000 today😳
❤❤❤
What did that poor family do without that money they scrimped and saved for? I wonder if any of it was recovered for them.
Wait what the son was shot also? What’s the story behind that!? ❤
