Are your card get charge every time you enter to metro, bus, ferry, metrobus, marmaray train, and haveist airport shuttle buses or you there is a time frame to get to the bus and exit from it and get in to the ferry for example?
you pay every time you change the transportation type, but there is a discount. Not sure what is the time frame, but it should be enough
