Ancient dominus-priests of Katehon lament and rejoice upon ethereal soundscapes, echoing through the Sky-Atrium, giant dome of Dimosthenis Monastery. This track comes from "Trichurch of Katehon", new album by Monasterium Imperi. An immersive ambiental journey into the distant world, where colossal shrines resonate of hymns to the Supreme One. Ancient hieropriests of Katehon lament and rejoice upon ethereal soundscapes, echoing through the Sky-Atrium. The traveller enters the Citadel of Azun, a thousand-year old giant citadel-church, built to honor the path of the Righteous. Empty halls, from which the Forgotten Kings once ruled the Dominion, now serve as sacred places of worship. Soulships are arriving from the north bringing the "Last One-hundred", group of remaining pilgrims who visit from the distant places.
Musically, it can be described as dark ambient rich with dark choirs, nostalgic gregorian-lke chants and long & atmospheric, ethereal pads.

This is so relaxing. Not as menacing as the other one which I thought might summon demons in my sleep, but this one… it has that perfect tone of Men Singing Together and Ethereal Softness, but still with this resonant kind of glow. It’s hard to explain. But ain’t no demons here.

@@maxd11111 Sorry, forgot to actually reply. I'm admittedly a simp for Gaunt's books, but like the gray morality of the Inquisitors series, too. I'm only three books into the Heresy series so I can't comment too much on those yet (so far so good). The Black Legion and Forge of Mars books are the two lines I've most recently enjoyed. Basically I just read what I can get my hands on!

During COVID lockdowns, I returned to catholic praying practices after many years.
Once while I was sick last month, I found this track while looking for ambient tunes and played it for rosary prayer. I cried within minutes. Yesterday (while sick again), this track came up on my feed and I played it while doing chores. And again, I wept.
This channel's lore is fictional, the video image is made by AI, but the passion this music evokes is very real. Real enough to allow a man to drop his guard and release his pain and sorrow. Instead of fighting and repressing that pain, as most of us have been trained to do since boyhood.
This might be a good test for sacred music: Can it evoke something special in the hearts and minds of the faithful? Like feelings or experiences that simply can't be brought out by a secular/mundane listening experience.
I think Monasterium Imperi killed that test, and I love that we can just encounter these experiences out in the web.

i would love to see a movie or netflix series with this type of music running through it.of course the show or movie be set in the future or distant abandoned space stations - a show a cross between "Bladerunner", "Game of Thrones", "Alien", the atmospheric feel of "Name of The Rose".
