I love this! I just finished my 1st one. A lot easier than some other bookmark patterns.

I’m really struggling when I go to make the right side DHHK, what am I doing wrong! I really want to learn this, I’ve slowed it down and studied for longer than I care to admit. Any tips?

Can I do this pattern with cotton ropes instead of nylon cords?

Can you show where to get the exact cord? Thank you

💙 I purchased it at my local dollar store (Dollarama) and I tried to look it up but unfortunately it’s not on their website. But any 1-2mm craft cord will work

I'm new at macrame, what size beads would you suggest for these bookmarks?

Can i make it in any other yarn?

💙 Yes you can totally use other mediums but a softer light weight cord will result in a soft bendable bookmark and a stiffer dense cord will create a firmer straight bookmark

💙 I’m sorry to hear you’ve had some trouble however I disagree, this is a perfect small beginner project that I have had many beginners successfully complete. It may help to slow down the speed of this video by tapping the 3 dots on the top right of the screen, or practicing your knots before attempting a pattern. I hope these suggestions help and good luck 💙

Hey, newbie here! Was just wondering what those little metal things are called that you use to hold down the yarn while you make the bookmark. Thank you!

💙 Those are T-pins, I find them to be much stronger than regular pins and with the T-shape I can also hold down a wooden dowel with them too
