1:30 I love how they rationalize stealing from stores. "They have insurance policies". As a retail store owner, I can assure you we don't run every $100 theft through insurance. Our rates would continually increase or worse, they'd drop us. We just lose it. It's that simple. Lose the items and the money spent buying the inventory.

Heres alittle when I became clean.
I do have 4 beautiful successful kids.
I've been homeless with 3 kids and lost my oldest to his dad. My dad took my other 3 kids for a yr. because they're had killed himself.
By the grace of God he took all the desire to use and drink away.
I've owned 2 businesses and have been living life with its ups and downs. But nothing could be as bad as the life I was living HELL...
So it can be really hard to get clean. But we have to hit our bottom and be willing to do what it takes. Like we did what it took to use.
It can be done. So never give up on trying.

Oh yeah well when we judge, we should always say that our own addictions are better than another you think tequila and weed aren't doing a lot to your nervous system? • @nailinthefashion
      @nailinthefashion 20 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +4

@southphillylilly why dyou assume the worst? That I'm over indulging, that I'm not aware of the negative outcomes that could occur? I can't even afford them regularly anymore, and when I am in the future I'll be even more responsible and aware of my boundaries.
Moreover, moderation is key with the lesser ones. I have social anxiety, scoliosis, below average appetite and insomnia. When I do have weed, it's used sparingly to mediate daily pain & struggles.
I've seen doctors who agree that weed is better for me, personally, than Tylenol, because overloading your organs with excess, a cocktail of pain killers and anti depressants would be worse.
An occasional margarita with dinner is not going to snowball for ME, personally. I cannot say the same for others. I cannot say that if things were worse I wouldn't turn to harder things. But, I'm fine for now. I'm self aware, I'm careful, I'm modest.
Please respect that your choices are not a standard everyone should follow. I do

Understand that your life is definitely not going to magically get better because you got clean. It gets better after pushing and pushing discipline and temperance long and hard enough to make it better. It never gets easier, sorry...
Don't beat yourself up when you don't get the results you wanted.
Keep your hands and mind busy. Take a lot of showers if you can.
It's a mixture of safer alternatives and willpower that can beat any addiction.
Show yourself respect and care, even if you think you don't deserve it.
And don't give up. Know that your body and brain will heal and go back to normal without any substances.

We stopped calling the cops and all the neighbors are legally armed. After trying bureaucracy, kindness and direct communication with no positive results, the addicts seem to respond to violent threats to stay out of our cars and off our property . It’s a struggle to be compassionate when you find them in your backyard or breaking into a neighbors house.
Progressivism/ leftism is compassion without wisdom which is why the state is the way it is.

People don't have sympathy for folks like this because you can tell their drug addicts. If they were down on their luck due to no fault of their own, people would be more sympathetic I think. Being a drug addict is not a choice, taking the drugs is!

1:18 See, this is why I say this affects us all and we absolutely have a right to say how we feel about that. It's far more nuanced than them choosing to do drugs we may or may not agree with.
You steal from the store, but generally they aren't making insurance claims on that (which would drive up their premiums), but even if they did all of it is passed onto the *paying* customers that go to that store.
Not to mention the store employees who have to be paid less to accommodate that and on top of that have to deal with sometimes violent thieves...
We're all subsidizing this "lifestyle". This is why I'd personally advocate for compelled sobriety because you can see very clearly in these two people that once certain drugs get their hooks into you, you ride that dragon all the way to the end. In my opinion it'd be immoral to simply watch them do it while shrugging as if nothing can be done about it.
We can help such people. If we're decent human beings, we will do that. If we don't, we sort of deserve the ensuing Anarchy, don't we?
