I’m so sorry that happened. When I fostered I hated hearing about siblings who were separated. I adopted all of my kiddos and thought my family was complete with my three. Then, late one night I got a call asking me to foster two girls who had been with me before. I knew they also had two new little brothers and my 1st question for the case worker was “where are the boys?” I was told they were trying to find another foster home to take them, assuming I wouldn’t take all 4. I let them know I was on my way to pick them ALL up. I now have 7 kiddos and my family is definitely complete.
I can’t imagine how kiddos must feel when they are being taken from everyone and everything they know and then loose their siblings. The thought just kills me.

I had a close relative who struggled with a heroin addiction most of their life. Through therapy and a spiritual understanding of the addiction, I have come to understand I hated watching the chase of them trying to get high. I truly loved the person. I also learned many addicts are brilliant people who are living as slaves to an unreachable high to keep themselves numb from a painful reality to them.
