As a kid got introduced to fragrances like old spice, Brut, cool water etc. This was my 1st "Oh wow this is amazing but different" cologne. Still love it till this day and own a bottle, I have to have it in my arsenal lol
I've used this for years , it's a very unique scent , there is nothing that smells similar. I love it. It's younger brother Desire blue is one of my favourite aftershaves of all time.
Doc, Lemme tell ya..... I picked this up back in 2001 and instantly fell in love. Unfortunately one reformulation later it seemed very watered down. I have been soooo tempted to cop another bottle for nostalgic purposes, but I know it will not live up to its original self.
This undoubtedly has gotten countless compliments. Ask anyone who has used it. Sadly, it isn’t that anymore and with less pronounced notes. If sprayed heavily, gives you a bit of headache. I would keep this my signature scent for life if it returned to its original 2004 reformulation. Heck I’ll pay double for it. Currently, Perfume name - Exclusive (fragrance from “ J. “ In US and Pakistan) is the best inspiration of this which is non alcoholic and pure oil based. And again it’s a hit back there and even here among community. And if used fresh and before the bottles aged, it’s a dam good refreshing scent. I would have ladies ask me at work all the time. They can’t help but ask about it. One of them kept asking me for her husband to gift him. Glad they have US based website now. But anyways, if Dunhill is reading this. There is big fan base for the older formulation. Bring it back. We don’t want extreme. We want original. Great review and respect for acknowledging house of Alfred Dunhill
This has a place in my heart!! I own this, the extreme version a dryer version on polo red extreme, desire black my favorite upscale scent character! The silver version is mixed feeling evertime i wear it changes ,tge only one o need to get and smell is the blue!!
Great review as always man, keep doing your thing! I'd like to maybe see your take on Davidoff's Zino cologne sometime down the road. Awesome, unique, quality scent. Very cheap nowadays as well!
I been wearing this since early 2000s. Smells similar to thallium. Dry down is much better. My wife loves it. She wears it sometimes lol. Can you review Dunhill Fresh? Not many people know about it and it's a Gem.
I would love to see you you review Dunhill Man edt. Interested to see your take on this one from there line. By the way I love your reviews bro. Keep up the good work.
I found this at Ross for super cheap. I for the most part liked it, but the teak wood makes it smell like soggy wood, which was too off putting for me. I ended up giving it to my brother in law cause he loves the stuff.
The reformulation is definitely different from the original. With the original, people literally used to follow me around just to ask me what I'm wearing. The reform still smells good, but it lost that "wow" factor. If I'm not mistaken it was bought by Proctor and Gamble; then it went downhill.
Great review, and thank you for doing reviews of older classics, rather than just new releases. I think there are better Dunhills- good house imho. But Desire for a Man, I couldn't wear it, not for me. Very synthetic and cloying- too much!
What about it do you think gives you the headache? Is it a note or too much of something? I do have fragrances that need to "air" a bit. You know, roll down the window opening. Ha Ha! Thanks for the review. Good job!
I used to love Desire red back in middle school and the 9th grade... I have so many good memories with this. Great review, Cody.
Cool

Sir actually there is a difference in the packing. In my pack it us written below edt for men /Not desire for a man. Is it original what I bought
This one is too sweet, Dunhill Edition is the King
Excellent review ... I always thought it was a much better fragrance when dried down ..

Great cheapie! Cant do wrong with that one. Never own it but yes I would wear without doubt..looks like a british Boss Bottled
Thanks, Cody. Good info.
Is this similar to Yacht Man Red?
Never tried yacht red
I had this one before and didn’t care for it at all. Ended up giving it away
Ahh, gotcha
Thank you!

Probably a combo between the Neroli and the Musk. Both when they are inexpensive don't sit with me well
Gotcha! Thanks.
My favorite
