(I'm a little embarassed to say that, but it's true. :) Also, in response to a comment below, I don't think you have to look "excited". You present the material in a grounded, approachable, intelligent way, with an obvious love for the olafactory world, and I think that contributes greatly to your appeal. You have a grounded and personable quality. For the record, a few days ago, I was looking up 'vetiver' or something and so a number of videos came up from a number of scent channels including a guy who had... I think about 120K subs. I thought, 'wow, that's a lot of subs for a scent channel' (this is a pretty niche thing after all), but then when I looked at his view counts, (I had your channel open in a different tab) - they were... almost identical to yours. Some were higher, some lower... Overall, I would guess he had maybe 5% more views than you did - if that. It seem like your subs stick around and come back for more. Thanks for the fine work!
Don’t have any Dunhill fragrances but hearing more about them. I like the look the of the black bottle but probably wouldn’t like the fragrance. It frustrates me when designers put freshies in dark bottles. It’s like a betrayal of trust lol

First time checking out your videos, nice job. I have the original Icon on order and should receive it shortly. I bought the original Dunhill for Men (the classic blend) in the late 70's and still wear it today. It has an interesting petrol smell to it and I find it intoxicating. I also own Edition by Dunhill and love it as well. I'll be eying the Absolute if I like the original. Thanks for the review!
I've only got one of these dunhill icon racing it was one I'd heard some hype about and it was cheap i think i paid £35 UK pounds and i like it although I've not worn it that often just because I've got better fragrances, but for the price it's a very good one, i recently got it out again and wore it over a year after I'd brought it and its still nice however it did smell a bit too synthetic i think mainly because I've been wearing stuff by chanel and dior recently and it definitely has a noticeably less quality than them but it's to be expected considering its a fraction of the price of those brands, I'd still say for a cheapie it's good quality as there's way worse at that price tag I've read many say the opening of icon racing was sour but i found the opening the nicest part personally and it did perform ok about 5 hours on skin and stayed on my clothes longer, not a big projection on me but i don't mind fragrances sitting closer to the skin i thought it was a decent work fragrance which is where i like to test fragrances out, i work in a busy factory and i get hot lifting heavy and moving around all shift its ideal to test any fragrance performing, not so much for others reaction but for myself if i can pick up whiffs of a fragrance and I'm 7 hours into a shift that's a good performer and if i can only pick up whiffs for the first hour then that's a poor performer lol icon racing was in the middle pretty much about 5 hours i was still picking up whiffs so for only £35 that's decent and worth it I'm happy with that
Well I got my bottle of icon in today. I'm still in the evaluation process but so far I have to say it is a very very low-key fragrance. It's not at all boisterous or overbearing and that can be a good thing and a bad thing. So far after a woman wearing I'm ambivalent. But I have noticed in my fragrance journey that the first few times I wear a fragrance I may not like it but the more I wear it the more I grow accustomed to it. Overall it just seems kind of weak to me. Perhaps I got a bad batch something like that but it's hard to make a judgment in the first three or four wearings. So on with the testing! I do love the overall smell of it though it is nice I just it had a little more chutz·pah as my Jewish friend would say lol! I did get the Zino that stuff is a monster especially considering it's an EDT
Hi Peter, can you help me decide between Cerritos 1881, and Dunhill icon ? I haven’t smelled either. I’m really looking for a cooling lavender fragrance that won’t be too expensive. I know these two aren’t known for that, but I don’t like powdery notes or sweet colognes, and was hoping for a suggestion. Thanks for the great content!
Cerruti 1881 is a old school classic many people like. It is available for a stellar price. Icon the silver one by Dunhill is a More contemporary scent with the past on mind .I quite like it . I had one perfume, called OPEN (french). I miss. That fragrance will touch you if you are 3-5 miters away. Fragrance remains in a one Month old pack of your cloths.

Hi, Icon from dunhill is a good fragrance and often available at a good price. However, I do think it leans to the mature side since it isn't sweet. Most young people like some sweetness in their fragrance 😉Just a thought👊

So, it feels tempting to me.. 😂😂 Only thing I experienced was the longevity of this as average to above avg performance. Don't wish the newer batches to be reformulated😅
I'd go with the Icon Original or the absolute. The Golden One. It has some oud if you are into a woody smell. The save bet is the original (silver one) ,most people's favorite. Hope I was able to help! Thanks for watching 🙌

Sorry to hear that Benny, I think my Icon is from 2016 . Unfortunately they do weaken the fragrances over time. It has happened to me as well. I've bought fragrances a few years older for that reason only to find out the top notes have gone bad.😢 Either way ,I feel for you. Guess we sometimes win and sometimes lose. My favorite, prefer silver to elite. FYI the dunhill logo on the top of the bottle tends to fall off or fade after a bit of traveling

Absolute scent profile is very good, but unfortunately have poor performance issues, personally I would not recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately 4 to 6 hrs is it. Projection is also medium. 😩
