This is the interpretation of Hindu cosmology according to just one tradition. It's not "the definitive" statement of Hinduism. There is actually no definitive statement! That's one of the beauties of Sanatana Dharma. If the interpretation in this video puts you off, keep looking. Again: this video is not "wrong"; it's just not the only "right" one. Namaste.

"There is no definitive statement" yes but only to "uninformed". 🤣🤣. Hindu/dharmic tradition was built around Vedic metaphysics Sankhya (which combines Advaitha and Dvaitha) which can be validated by logic, double slit quantum experiment and embodied experience.
ERWIN SCHRODINGER (ONE OF THE FOUNDING FATHERS OF QUANTUM MECHANICS) Schrodinger's biographer Moore wrote -- “His system - or that of the Hindu Upanishads/Vedas - is delightful and consistent: the self and the world are one and they are all. He rejected traditional western religious beliefs (Jewish, Christian, and Islamic) not on the basis of any reasoned argument, nor even with an expression of emotional antipathy, for he loved to use religious expressions and metaphors, but simply by saying that they are naïve--and will NOT understand Quantum physics and consciousness. (CONSCIOUS, IMMANENT AND OMNIPRESENT SELF = SHIVA and THOUGHTS/BODY/W0RLD/UNIVERSE = SHAKTHI OR INTELLIGENT ENERGY)
Erwin Schrodinger wrote: “Vedanta teaches that consciousness is singular, all happenings are played out in one universal consciousness and there is no multiplicity of selves.”
Carl Sagan (Astrophysicist) “The Hindu/Vedic tradition is the world’s greatest tradition dedicated to the idea that the cosmos itself undergoes an immense number of deaths and rebirths. It is the only tradition in which the time scales correspond no doubt to those of modern scientific cosmology. The cycles run from our ordinary day and night to a day and night of Brahma - 8.64 billion years long. It is longer than the age of the Earth, the Sun, and half the time since the Big Bang.”
It also means, 'Big Bang" does not mean "one time" 'creation" of the universe (out of thin air) around 4004 BCE at 8.30 am in the morning by some transcendent god with a magic wand. 😀😀

@@indianmilitary This video is about Hindu cosmology. Almost every Purana has its own cosmology based on the primary deity of the Purana. That is different from the philosophies (Darshans) like Vedanta and Samkhya. In case of philosophies, the six different ones are pretty well known (they do have overlaps).

Hinduism sums up my own research into reality via science and philosophy. It's fascinating and it's becoming my core beliefs now. I am reading the Upanishards and will go on to the rigvedas. I also enjoy reading all religious text and I think truth is a combination of many of these beliefs but only the oldest forms. Before they were edited. Many uneducated believe their religious text were never edited which is impossible as anyone shall know from the game of telephone. Even if unintentional it happens by nature of reality itself. This is the reason people believe this reality is an illusion. It's not. It's just constantly evolving and changing and that means it erases things that were, including truths. It's inherent to us, to our very DNA as we age they become sloppy and this causes Cancer. It's everywhere and all things and to think "no this book written and rewritten and translated, is precisely as it was" is tantamount to pure insanity.
I beg you my spiritual brothers to use science, history, philosophy and spirituality in your quest for truth. And bring in to heaven what you will, whimsy, love of fantasy, beauty etc. Express yourself fully as it is the divine universe expressing itself through you. Become, become, become what you always were. Always been. Always will be. The eternal aspect. Show us, your fellow aspects of infinity what you represent. So we may commune and debate in the celestial courts outside space time under the guiding wisdom of God, the Brahman. Who we may never interact with directly even as we ascend the infinite ladder of spiritual improvement but is always there. Loving and nurturing as a father and mother. Whose infinite ladder of improvement and love and understanding of all forces good and evil hint at the infinite level of unity grasped within the power of God. Unfathomable.
-Written from a stream of deep consciousness.

@drizzlenumba1 "under the guiding wisdom of God, the Brahman. Who we may never interact with directly" nah. Non translatable Sanskrit word Brahman is NOT the same as god. The word god and its definition are based on monotheism followed by ABRAHAMIC religions. It also means, there is no concept of god or heaven or hell in Hindu tradition.
Tat tvam Asi (Chandogya Upanishad - Sama Veda Chapter 6 Verse 8.7)
You (athma) are (already) that (Brahman/Shiva). How is that possible?
Without the conscious field of Athma (Brahman), nothing can exist or nothing can be perceived in its current form or everything disappears. Duality cycles of nature (intelligent energy) cannot happen.. For example
      Birth/death (including reincarnation) youth/old age, waking/sleeping, male/female, day/night, action/reaction, freezing/melting, Summer/winter, manifestation/concealment of universe etc
This is why Vedas say without Shiva (athma) there is no Shakti (Intelligent energy) and without Shakti there is no Shiva
How to confirm this profound truth
Brahman’s conscious field is connected with prana shakti. Prana Shakti is connected to breath
Kriya Yoga says that if we focus on our breath, release it slowly, control it (5 to 10 seconds) and repeat it, We go from the wake state to dream state and then to deep sleep state. This transformation can take place only in the conscious field of Brahman (Athma).
Because of blind devotion or Bhakthi some people wrongly assume that Athma and Brahman are different.
By saying this, Hindu tradition becomes like Christianity and Islam, because they also say that soul and God are different. Of course, in Abrahamic religions, souls are just limited to humans and there is no connection between consciousness and soul. But in HIndu tradition, consciousness is an attribute of omnipresent athma just like heat is an attribute of fire and the sun. Conscious field pervades every animate and inanimate just like a jewel thread which goes through different pearls.
Finally, tat tvam asi means Brahman’s conscious field is not only in samadhi but also in wake, dream and deep sleep states because Athma and Brahman are one.
Impassive Experiencer Brahman (athma) is not the doer (Sri Krishna-Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 5, 13 Verses 8, 21)

Deshan Xuanjian was a great scholar of the Diamond Sutra. He was traveling south in search of the Dharma, carrying his commentaries on the Diamond Sutra with him. In the course of his travels he came across an old woman on the roadside selling tea and rice cakes. He asked her, “Who are you?”
She responded, “I am an old woman selling rice cakes.” When he asked if he could buy some refreshments from her, she inquired, “Venerable priest, what are you carrying in your bag?”
He said, “I am a scholar of the Diamond Sutra, and here I have all my notes and commentaries.”
Hearing this, the old woman said, “I have heard that, according to the Diamond Sutra, past mind is ungraspable, present mind is ungraspable, and future mind is ungraspable. So where is the mind that you wish to refresh with rice cakes, oh scholar? If you can answer this, you may buy a rice cake from me. If not, you’ll have to go elsewhere for refreshment.”
Deshan was unable to reply. The old woman then directed him to a Chan master nearby.
Deshan burned all his notes and commentaries the next day.

The "Horizon" is indeed "Horizontal" and no matter how high the altitude it stays at "Eye-Level". The "Constellations" are "Constant" and the Stars in Heaven are Firm in their Position and Firm in their Brightness. God Created the Firmament to separate the waters from Above (were MahaVishnu naps) from the waters below (The Great Garbhodaka Ocean). Water Aways Finds It's Level, Sea Level. The Whole of this Little 4 headed brahma Universe has an Up and It has a Down. A Dwarf named Vamana poked a hole in God's Firmament with His big toe and the waters from Above came pouring in and Down. Beyond the 360 degrees Antarctica ice-ring lies concentric rings of Lands and Oceans. There are gates in this ice-wall and the powers that be know about these passageways and indeed they use them (Operation High Jump and Deep Freeze). We live inside a Cosmic Egg, which is half full of water(The Mahat-Tatva) . The diameter of this Cosmic Egg is 4 billion miles.

We Hindus know that knowledge is not a commodity...it's divine ...that is the reason the approach also is very indirect and deeper than what we could see through all those tele and microscopes..and these scopes are all man made..as imperfect as man himself.. that's the reason all scientific researches are great failures. Of the three paths of yoga, being devotion, knowledge and wisdom, and service, which one does being self-aware of one's Egoic behavior and self effort to not harm others fall into? I like Buddhism because it focuses on self-awareness of one's actions not to harm others, cultivate compassion and focus on others happiness ( loving kindness) but from this, I understand Hinduism focuses more on Individual Soul's evolution through devotion to Gods and Goddesses, study of Wisdom texts, and seva in terms of giving service to the Gods.

      @Dharmicaction 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

But you are wrongly assuming the purpose of Hindu temple tradition, stone deities and the roots of Buddha (at least the original one from 1900 BCE).
Original Buddha (1900 BCE) was a Hindu. He followed Vedas (he did not deny Athma) , was a vegetarian and spoke Sanskrit. But the fake Buddha (550 BCE) who spoke fake pali and ate beef was created by colonialists out of thin air. The whole Nirvana Buddhist cult right now is based on a fake Buddha created to pit Buddhism against hindu/vedic tradition. They also created King Ashoka out of thin air to show that he converted from "bad hinduism to good buddhism". Nice try.
As far as stone deities in Hindu temples are concerned, they are not "gods" because there is no concept of god or heaven or hell in Hindu/dharmic tradition.
Stone deities are used for 2 reasons.
      a. They are used as objects of attraction (so given bath, food and decorated with makeup, dress, jewels etc) for focus and meditation (to have vibrational experience) in the presence of Sanskrit mantra vibrations, augmented by temple architecture, sanctum Sanctorum (space where deities are kept) and shape/ posture of deities.
Bowing, prostrating and circumambulation (go around deities 7 times in a clockwise direction) simply speed up and expand the vibrational experience. Obviously, some Hindu temples are more powerful energy centers than others e.g. 12 Jyotirlinga temples present in different corners of India. As soon as one enters them, powerful vibrations can be experienced immediately.
This technique is for reaching the samadhi state which is nothing but the disappearance of perception of the observer (conscious, immortal and omnipresent athma) and observed (external world or the deity focused on) “duality” momentarily (temple tradition) or temporarily and permanently (in Yoga tradition)."Pranaprathista" "pooja" or ritual should be interpreted as a tool to reach vibrational experience which can eventually lead to the disappearance of the observer/observed split when 5 senses and ahamkara (sense of I) are transcended.
Samadhi experience is for "self realization" that you (immortal, conscious and immanent athma) are (already) that (immortal, conscious, omnipresent and transcendent Brahman) - the impassive experiencer but not the doer. Thoughts/ body/world/universe do everything but not experience anything. To understand this key difference is one of the purposes of hindu temples (powerful energy centers) and yoga/meditation.
Another purpose is to remove unmanifested seeds of memories (which can lead to karma or cause and effect and reincarnation if unremoved) stored in one of the subtle bodies called Chitta, from millions of past lives so that reincarnation (transmigration of subtle body with memories to another gross body ) can be put an end and moksha (microcosm to macrocosm) can be attained.
      2. Stone deities are also symbolic representations of the well validated Vedic metaphysics, nature and laws of nature which maintain the stability and harmony of the universe.
      c. Some of the rituals are also symbolic like offering flowers (to give up attachment to any desires), bananas (to give up attachment to fruits of achievements) and breaking coconuts (to give up attachment to ego). As far as "ritual powder" or Vibuthi (ash) applied between the 2 physical eyes is concerned, it is nothing but a symbolic reminder that this body is temporary and will be eventually cremated or just to show symbolically (Vibuthi) that intelligent energy manifests as matter in the conscious field of the immortal self (so called opening of the third eye or cosmic eye symbolically shown between the 2 physical eyes)
      d. In the same way, the tradition also gives importance to the concept of dharma or natural law when it comes to both animate and inanimate which contribute to stability and harmony of the universe..(it is not just about humanity). It is the reason why cows/snakes/monkeys/plants/trees are revered for doing their dharmic duty. Always remember, except human species (which violate dharma or the natural law due to ego and free will) non human species (animate and inanimate) are pre-programmed to follow the natural law or dharma to sustain stability and harmony of the universe..
But religion applies only to humans. There is no religion of electrons, monkeys, plants and galaxies, whereas all of them have their dharma even if they carry it out without intention.
In dharmic traditions, the word a-dharma applies to humans who fail to perform righteously; it does not mean refusal to embrace a given set of propositions as a belief system or disobedience to a set of commandments or canons because there is no concept of god in Hindu dharmic tradition

As far as "Bhakti" or blind devotion is concerned, this term was inserted by colonialists by replacing the word Shraddha (trust but verify to know the unknown without ahamkara with intense efforts). It was done to make Hindu tradition mimic blind faith Abrahamic religions by creating non existent difference between athma and paramathma through the creation of fake metaphysics (like Vishishtadvaitha) after the distortion of original Advaitha and Dvaitha. The motive of colonialists was to control people through organized Bhakthi movements.

One correction is Source of all existence is #Paramatma or supreme being also known as Universal consciousness. Brahma is creator of the solar system. Maha Brahma is creator of milky way and so on there are several layers of Brahmas that continues their levels of creation and same with their counterparts of Vishnus and Shivas that continue with their duties of creation operation and dissolution of matter. They all come out of this Paramatma so the ultimate creator is Parmatma.

These cosmic allegories were created for the easy understanding of Vedic metaphysics and the 3 different gunas which control matter.

It's like the solar system moving around a super sun. And the distance from this super sun determines the different yuga as the solar system didn't rotate around the super sun in a circle but oval like shape. Watch sadguru video about this. @MandralaFilms Kindly understand that Shiva/Vishnu/Brahma and their wives Shakthi/Lakshmi/Saraswathi are just cosmic allegories for the same immortal and omnipresent self Athma (the impassive experiencer of everything but not the doer of anything) and intelligent energy. Husband and wife always exist together for the perpetual duality cycles of nature to happen (in the conscious field of the husband). e.g. Rajas/Tamas guna duality cycle in the conscious field of athma sustained by Sathvik guna of intelligent energy. Summer (Brahma + Saraswathi), Winter (Shiva + Shakthi) duality cycles in the conscious field (of the husband) sustained by spring or dharma (vishnu + Lakshmi)
As far as Krishna and other avatars are concerned, they were incarnatiions or non karmic birth. Krishna did not say "I am god". If he did then he wouldn't have said the following verse in Bhagavad Gita
Bhagavad Gita Chapter 2 Verse 12 (ATHMA = PARAMATHMA)
“na tv evāhaṁ jātu nāsaṁ na tvaṁ neme janādhipāḥ na caiva na bhaviṣyāmaḥ sarve vayam ataḥ param”
“Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor all these kings, and from this time forward, none of us will ever cease to be”
Here, Sri Krishna refers to the conscious, immortal, immutable, self luminous, immanent (athma), transcendent and omnipresent paramathma as 'I", ''you ``,''us ``.
Point is, Krishna was a mortal (like other avatars) even though an avatar (non karmic birth). He was killed by a stray arrow of a hunter (Vali's reincarnation) since avatar Rama was cursed by Vali's pious wife Thara for killing her husband by hiding behind a tree.

Vishnu is superior to Krishna, Hare Krishna believe Krishna is the supreme god, cause Krishna stated that he was god, but he also said he was ram and vishnu. Vishnu sent Ram and Krishna to earth to fight evil so its evident that Vishnu is superior. The trio Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh (Shiva), are the three main gods. Brahma (creator) creates the universe, Vishnu (preserver), maintains the universe by he avtars and is the one who created Brahma. And thats why although Brahma is the one that created the universe, Vishnu is the one who made multiuniverse as he made multiple Brahmas. Some say Shiva was created by Vishnu, some say Shiva already existed just like Vishnu, cause Shiva represents the void in the Cosmos. Every other god comes after these three

nah The Sanskrit word "Devata" is wrongly translated as a "demigod" in English. In fact, the word Devata is just another NON TRANSLATABLE Sanskrit word. It means there is NO equivalent English word or any other language word.
Devata is completely different from the Judeo-Chrisitian- Islamic idea of angels, demigods and god.
What exactly does devata mean? It is just a cosmic allegory for nature and laws of nature which maintain the cosmic order like sun, moon, rain, thunder, karma and dharma devatas
But demigods and gods refer to titans/superhuman beings of the so-called pagans which Abrahamic religions absorbed.
Unfortunately, some so called hindu gurus also mistranslate the sanskrit word Devata to demigods.

The priest from the Zoroastrian religion( known as Aryans) came to india with their Avestan language and fire rituals and later created some slogans in old Sanskrit to form the Oral Vedas which was never in written form until after the 5th century AD.
These priest learnt the principles of the Samana tradition that originated in the Indus Valley Civilization and is found in southern part of the sub continent namely in the Tamizh tradition and started incorporating it into their already existent vaiteegam(burning) rituals and produced the Upanishads(philosophical treatise) and became vegetarians.
For a solid philosophical footing which they needed in a highly philosophized Tamizh (Samana Palli language) infused land about the 8th century Adi Sankara came up with Advaita logic that distorted the original Buddhist(Sunya-Void) thoughts and produced a dichotomical nonsense which did not last the test of time.
Later they took up the Tantric Samana Tamizh tradition and put forth the bakti methodology (blind surrender). This they took also from the Christian tradition and desperately created for the Islamic onslaught. Bakti was based on erotism and appealed to the masses(like cinemas). The high Samana tantric philosophical basis was ruined for the newly conjectured 'Hindu' religion of the wretched puranic tales(porn stories).
This is the history of the Priestly class(Brahmins) that still retain their priesthood in the agamic temples(lifeless stone worship) that held sway through the bakti movement from the 10th century onwards. The consecutive non-Tamizh rulers(Vaduga Telugus) firmly rooted the new found 'Hindu' religion with its caste system( twisted from the Samana four occupational make-up of society aka Farmers, Merchants, Rulers, Philosophers)with the insidious brahmin agenda segregation which the colonial British gave the general name and sealing the new found religion with their law....
