guys who want to do marsoc: remember the only reason they go through tough ass training is because its rough ass job for rough ass people. coming out of a cold ass ocean and hugging a rock because its warmer than you type of shit. no call duty shit there enemies play for keeps no respawn. just think about everything before you try out.
+Tyreek Vallejo Most will never even be selected as an Infantry Marine. Kids don't just join the military and goto Special Operations schools. It does not work like that. They have to be the best of the advanced fighters with background to match.
@@boydnicol First off the bat get into physical shape. Number one. Number two is being mentally prepared for the challenges that await you. 20% physical 80% mental. And also contact your local marine recruiter on any further details about being a raider or going special ops. But the wash out rate is pretty high.
As someone that was in the Corps from 2012-2017, I can honestly say that all Marines are so proud of MARSOC and what they are doing. We wish them the best. Semper Fi.
***** Good luck man. I'm enlisting in infantry in about 2 years or so hoping to get 0311 rifleman MOS. Then after a few years of that, I'm going for MARSOC. Just train hard before you go into the military and you'll be good. Just don't let yourself slack off. Do you suggest doing the training with recruiters thing before going in?
Joseph Haller Well why question it? He has his rights and you have yours. He didn't question you on why your name is, "Joseph Haller". Cause he could care less. Its a free country and he can and will do whatever the heck he wants. Got a problem with it? Too bad.
This song almost got me crying because the song makes it emotional of what these raiders do that’s risking their life! I will work very hard and start applying myself to hopefully one day become a Raider!
Hello I want to join the marine but is 2024 right now I’m 17 years old and in 3 years I graduated I shit I just realized I need 10 years in USA because to join military
+Jim Bob You do realize that MARSOC raiders are tier 2, along with ODA operators, seals, and PJs? Rangers, Force Recon, Sappers, Combat Control, etc they are considered tier 3.
Everyone wants to be a gangster til it's time to do gangster schitt... If you truly want to be MARSOC and had what it takes I doubt you'd be telling people on TH-cam... They're called silent professionals for a reason..Silent professional isn't something they have to learn in their training. It's ingrained in them. To then it's as self-evident as needing to breathe to live... Not knocking you, it's easy to see those type vids, have an adrenaline rush , then feel like John Rambo on steroids... If you really wanna be a Raider, keep quiet, work harder than you've ever worked in your live and then be prepared for Olympic level endurance training, being cold beyond belief, being so sore that you could literally pass out, and for sleep depression that will have you hallucinating...
+scarrillo31 well marsoc has its named changed and they are called raiders plus the Ww2 raiders did special operations so it should rightfully belong to marsoc
Great video. Are they the elite in the US Marine Corps as the Rangers in the Army? is that the relation between them?. Also, the US Army has the Green Berets, what about the US Marines??. Regards from Chile.
Grungelife Gl The green berets are officially called Army Special Forces, and the Rangers are more of a Light Infantry Recon group. MARSOC is the USMCs equivalent that is somewhere in the middle, while also being able to work at sea.
All you wannabe Ricky Recons need understand you have to make it in the Marines before you think about doing this high speed shit, all these guys are NCO's with multiple deployments before they even join MARSOC/Raiders.
not all of them have deployments before joining. unless you're talking about the Raiders who built MARSOC, then yeah because they're all old Force Recon Marines. but today, not so much. hell, when i was at first as a support guy, one of the Raiders that was in my company was a Mailman before he tried out and never deployed.
zfairfan They are not all Ex Recon guys, a lot come from FAST Teams along and although not common guys from Infantry Units. Needless to say MARSOC is extremely exclusive as to who they let in.
Jake Sweeney that only holds true now. when i was there, they were all Recondos being reassigned. and not a lot of them were gunners before making it as a saw a handful of prior POGs come though after being selected and passing ITC. Such as Mailmen and Administrators. its about giving it your all at all times. thats who makes it. shooting is the easy part. ask any one of them.
Shanepatrick Bernardez Marine Corps doesn't have berets unlike the Tan for the 75th and of course the the infamous Green Berets (Special Forces) if we're being technical. Along with others like AFSOC also use Berets to signify a unit like CCT, SOWT, and Pararescue.

Im in the marine corp bro. I know man IVAO04ify
+Tyreek Vallejo Good I'm 11 Years in the Corps. Then you know how difficult it is.
+IVAO04ify well sure a lot of people make it to be w infantrymen. But if you mean assaulter/rifleman yea you are correct
+Tyreek Vallejo you aren't in the Corps, you can't even spell Corps right lol that's not something a Marine messes up.
my nephew is a raider real proud of him
Harold Kearney hey I’m trying to be a raider I know it’s 2 years later lol but if you have any tips on how he got there I would appreciate it

Joseph Haller Because it is a free country and he can do whatever he wants.

When i was a kid i really didnt know what i wanted to be when i grew up but i know now ,I want to be a Marine
I was sitting in Gifford Hall after graduation for SQT when the first MARCOC poster went up! The 4 of us were the first class of MARSOC 1997.
It's still considered MARSOC. Just the actual MSOBs (Marine Special Operation Battalions) were changed to MRB's and MRT's.
I'll be a raider, someday. This is beautiful.
Sacred Martinez Me too brother. SEMPER FI
part of the first Marines to earn SOC in 1985
I Love MARSOC and NAVY SEALS
This song almost got me crying because the song makes it emotional of what these raiders do that’s risking their life!

I like this footage...I bet the talibans are feeling this: "don't go around tonight, well it's bound to take your life" when US SOF are around

Can someone tell me how the marsoc teams work? Is it one big team or is it a bunch of small teams like the SEAL's and how big are the marsoc teams?
it's very similar to army SF but yes it's small highly trained teams
There is 3 Battalion, each with 4 Marine Raiders Platoons, each with 2 Marine raiders team, each team have 12 raiders.
Nice vid, and very good music!!
Wow the Raiders, The U.S.M.C. has not have a raiders unit since WWII in the Solomon Islands, mainly on Guadalcanal
+delandgixxer750 MARSOC has been approved to be known as Raiders.
Umm no... 1st Bn 4th Marines. Alpha Company been Raiders since... "alpha Raiders"
