I get a huge kick out of showing someone a tv show or movie..(pretty much anything really ) they aren't familiar with at all. They haven't seen anything, n they're going in with fresh eyes. Today, I'm watching the boy's with my gf for her first time, n I'm excited for her to experience this wild n weird ass world they've created. I love this show so much. I made a promise to myself not to watch anymore of S4. Till it's finished up so I can watch it straight through.

You're typically not obligated to save someone's life, children could be drowning in the shallow end of your pool and you would be legally allowed to pull up a chair and watch them die while eating popcorn.

actually homelander was right about the plane. once the controls were fucked there really was nothing they could do . granted he was a bit cold about it .. but you can't leverage against air if you want to get real with physics , and even if he could leverage against air like superman seems to do , that plane wasn't built to have evern a quarter of it's wieght being held up by one man sized spot on the plane , he'd have just cut the plane in half or punched a man sized hole through the plane.

Homelander was right. He couldn’t do anything to land the plane safely. The Boys show exists in a "realistic universe", and in a real universe with real physics nothing could stop the plane not even Homelander. If he lifts the plane it would be like as if a needle is going through fabric essentially. "Punching through the hull". The only thing that could have saved the plane was the control panel which was toasted by Homelander’s laser.
While I do agree with your overall comment and about the intentions this scene was trying to convey, I gotta say the writing was pretty bad regarding the "Lift it, how? There's nothing to stand on, it's fucking air" argument. Because in this very scene, we see Homelander stand still in mid air, so it's obvious that he himself creates whatever force he uses to fly and isn't beholden to the third law of motion. He also "lifts" Maeve while "standing on fucking air". Physics don't change based on the object being lifted.... That being said, no matter how he would've tried to lift the plane, he would've pierced the hull either way, so the result doesn't change. Would just be nice, if the writers could put in the effort to not contradict themselves within 5 minutes is all.
I'm no physics genius, but honest question: would it have worked if he flew ahead to the nose of the plane, spread his force across his whole body (sort of like you're supposed to do when on thin ice; reckon it's a similar principle) and very gradually slowed the plane? Conceivably, he could spread such force if he brought Maeve up to and they created like a two-person net while he eased the plane versus just slamming into it? Alternatively, wouldn't him matching its speed, coming from the front or underneath, or possibly even under the wings, and giving a gentle push versus trying to lift the whole thing at once, work? As in he's clearly faster than the plane when he wants to be, so he could zip around and make small adjustments. I've read about how super-strength wouldn't work in real life like it does in comics/movies, but a) I find that boring; b) I'm a normal man and if I squeeze hard enough, I can shatter a glass in my hand, but I also have enough control over my strength to be able to pick up said glass without it even cracking. So, I would presume Homelander is stronger than the force of the ailerons or airbrakes, etc. and with proper positioning, could conceivably, with a gentle touch, guide the plane down to a much safer speed.

He needs two people strong enough to move the wings with their hands. He can do it. Also the risk of the plane bresking in two is really really unlikely 0,03% even if he moves the plane from below

Or anything actually happening to one of The Boys. Every season is just “omg will Homelander finally break?!” “Omg this characters past is affecting them!” Big battle, nothing really changes, season over let’s do it all again next year!
I mean, realistically, Homelander and the other supes shouldn't be charged with anything they're a complete set of species . They can have the same characteristics as humans, but that doesn't make them human, we humans see ourselves as the superior animals of the animal kingdom due to our intellect. Any supe should feel the same way. I mean, it's like giving a god the rules of man it doesn't make sense, so really, supes should do whatever the heck they want.
Hard disagree. That's like saying that humans should be able to do whatever the heck they want because there's no one or nothing stronger than us to "keep us in check." We can't do that, though, because then the entire world would be even more chaotic than it already is. The sad thing is, even with just humans running the world, everything is corrupt anyway. People get fined out the butt or thrown in jail for years for weed, but then get a slap on the wrist for SA. The supes need other supes that actually have consciences and compassion to keep their kind from completely obliterating everything - but that's kind of the point of the show, isn't it? The corruption of people who think they're above others, who have power over others. There "should" be guidelines in place to make sure that supes don't abuse their powers, but that's the point of the show. Just like how in real life, the wealthy, the "elite," those in positions of power are corrupt and always have been.

I dont get how u blame homelander for the plane in this one. If he doesn't show up at all, the terrorists fly the plane into a building or something with alot of people. Those people were doomed as soon as hijackers took over. By showing up and and taking plane down, everyone else was safe. I didn't see anybody else doing anything
