Love this tree skirt, I made this several years ago for my dear quilting friend. It came out gorgeous. I wish your video was available when I sewed my project.
This was fun to make. You are a very good instructor and explain things logically. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Thank you!!
How fun! A road trip with Ian & Mary! You should've picked me up, too!😂🫶✂️🪡🎄🫶
Haha, sorry we didn't swing by to pick you up! Maybe next time we'll rent a bigger car and pack the whole TH-cam family in! 🚗🎉
Love the tree skirt. Now I want to make one ❤❤❤ Bargello was a great choice!
Ah, the power of Bargello! I'm glad you enjoyed the tree skirt. Now you'll be the envy of all your friends with your crafting skills.
You’re a good teacher. Thank you for explaining your process. I have challenges following patterns at times. Rather than giving up feeling defeated, you show how to create a way to figure everything out. ❤
Thank you! I do my best to make sure no one feels defeated by those pesky patterns. Together, we'll conquer them!
Great tutorial I love the way you show and explain exactly what you’re doing. Beautiful tree skirt and thank you for sharing Becca
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the tutorial and found it helpful. It means a lot to me when viewers appreciate the effort I put into explaining everything.
Beautiful tree skirt! Can't wait to see the matching stockings.
Thank you! I'm working on teleporting the stockings from the North Pole. Santa's reindeer are a bit slow with the delivery.
Imagine a skirt for your tree ! No more nude bottom😂 this is pretty fabulous. Hugs, Chel 🌸
Haha! Nope!
I just love your tutorials. You make everything easy to understand. Thanks for pointing out your boo-boo. It led to important information and how to make sure that the project was assembled correctly. Now I have to see if I can locate the batting so that I can make this.
You are so welcome! This was a super quick project that you could easily complete in an afternoon - and if you decide to not do it as a bargello, it'd be EVEN quicker!
This round bargello seems so complicated before you explained step by step. A bit beyond my skills for now, but it’s on my “future, more skilled me” list. Really pretty.
Very pretty tree shirt. Thank you for the tutorial.
You’re welcome 😊
Great tutorial, Becca. Thank for sharing your process. Love the background music. ❤😊

Thank you! 😊
You are amazing. I love how explain.❤
Thank you so much!
Hey Becca! This is my 3rd attempt to watch this video in its entirety- 🐿️.
Not generally a fan of ‘cutsie’ fabric, but I love the vintage version of Mickey😢 ! I think the creamier low volume print adds a warmer tone to your tree skirt. Great numbering system and legend to keep the order of the fabrics straight!
Great use of Fallon’s @Sew Be It Quilts Slidelqock ruler! I use hand weights-the ones I’m SUPPOSED to be using to strengthen my arms-to hold my long rulers in place. A must for my Stripology rulers.
HMMM…could you line up a panel on the batting, sew, trim and repeat using a modified FPP method? 🤔 💭
Oops! Ended up taking 4 attempts…interrupted by a package delivery by Canada Post. 😂
Take care, and stay well!

Wow, you really went the extra mile to watch this video! I appreciate your dedication, even if it took you a few attempts. And hey, nothing wrong with using hand weights for your rulers, right? Multi-tasking at its finest!
you made it..whoo hoo.....oh, don't under estimate what Santa notices... HAAAHAHHA...by the way ,that creamier light looks perfect..
yes! And I LOVE it!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I cannot find your notes for placement. Can you help me.
I can’t thank you enough for this tutorial. I bought the batting and pattern back in the summer and I’ve been too afraid to start it! Brilliant idea to make your own fabric legend. Now I think I can do this, thanks to your video. Btw, do you think a jelly roll would work with this Bargello style pattern?
Yes! A jelly roll should work!
do you have the pattern for this? It is so pretty
The Ogaden is from shabby fabrics: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p96663/bargello-christmas-tree-skirt-pattern
I so appreciate you @@sewbecca - thank you
You have had the IKEA Billy shelves for around a year now. How are they holding up to weight of fabric and supplies? Asking because I tried similar bookcase from Walmart and that did not work out well at all. And the tree skirt looks great! Do you have the binding on now and have it around your tree?
They’re holding up just fine! No issues due to the weight of books and fabric!
What is the quilt pattern called and where can I buy it?
The pattern is “Bargello Tree Skirt” from Shabby Fabrics: www.shabbyfabrics.com/p96663/bargello-christmas-tree-skirt-pattern
