- It's time for a good 'ole nose around our superior deluxe cabin onboard P&O Azura (D420). I know, I know, these are mini-suites on Princess, but this isn't Princess! So, come along for a detailed tour and review, plus find out what home comforts we take with us, everything you need to know about the location, room service, the extras you get in a cabin of this grade, and whether it is tired / in need of a refurb and worth the extra money!

identical to Princess mini suite on their older ships. Our favorite cabin to book. Goldilocks of cabins. not too big, not too small, just right.
They are indeed
Thought it looked familiar.
I love watching these cruises. it's so fun to watch what you get up to both on land and on the ship. Thanks for making these videos 😃😄
You’re very welcome ☺️
We had this cabin twice last year. I see the chocolates have changed from the blue P&O box.
Agree about the tv and loved being closer to the Sea.
No issues with balcony and people looking over just felt they were sad and should be looking out to see and not being nosey.
Also most people were out sunbathing on deck so all in all not an issue.
Thank you for the memories from our time on board in Tenerife and Malta
🙏🙏🙏
Great cabin tour, looks like a good size! We stayed in a balcony cabin on the C deck last Feb (C609), and like you say the balcony size on the deck above was really big and only half overlooked, so you had a private area - we've got a little cabin tour of ours on our channel if you fancy taking a look to compare. Shame about the condition of the patio furniture, they replaced all the furniture during our cruise at one of the ports, the old tables had wooden slats so had certainly seen better days! 😉🛳
Oh we’ve also enjoyed c deck cabins over the years too - just wanted more cabin space this time and the little extras we got
@@TravelBlogJamie It will be interesting to see what level of upgrade they do to the cabins next year, it doesn't seem very long in dry dock but I guess they'll have an army of people doing the re-fits 😉
Have not cruised on Azura yet but on Ventura several times. As a solo I usually go for C deck midship balcony also I. The 420’s but oh yes!! I would be very happy to try D deck balcony if the price was right. Do love the walk in wardrobe and dressing area. And of course breakfast on the balcony!
Had never considered the fly cruise option but it appears extremely good value for this package.
Thank you Jamie🙂
Yes there are some very good deals out there if flexible with dates!
OMG, the best stateroom tour ever. Entertaining, funny and informative.
Also love the way Matthew just ignores you.
I was debating on bidding for an upgrade for a deluxe balcony instead of the standard balcony I booked. You sold it to me. A bit silly as I'm a solo traveller, but who cares its my holiday.
I will definitely subscribe.
These are great cabins and a few nice extra touches too ❤️
Nice tour around ty Jamie. Yes, definitely bring food drinks back to the cabin. we like a private afternoon tea and, of course, combined with snacks
The best thing to do 😉
Cruised on Azura several times but only stayed in this type of cabin on her sister ship Ventura which we loved as well 👍🏻
It’s a great one
It's our first cruise on Azura on 2nd March. I've been on her sister ship Ventura and the now decommissioned oriana. Which was a gorgeous ship. Looking forward to this one. As it's my first fly cruise 😊. Thanks for the tour Jamie 👍
Very welcome 🙏
Let’s have a good nose around our cabin 👀
Nice review. I had noticed the mold in the shower when you first boarded the ship. Glad the cabin steward finally attended to that problem. On the Princess Ships, this would be called a mini-suite. I like that nice size balcony, and thank you for pointing out the deck above with their wider balcony. May I suggest you put the cabin number in the title of your video. It helps when searching on you tube for a particular cabin. I will be on the P&O Britannia for the first time in June and have a "guarantee balcony". That should be interesting.
Yes it is indeed a mini-suite on princess (I mention that in the description). I don’t put the cabin numbers in the titles anymore because the chances of anyone looking for them at one cabin out of 1700 is slim and eats into my word limit. It can also stop people from watching too. It is in the description, however. Thank you
For people who are debating whether to go on a cruise in highly recommended doing one, but one thing when doing off board excursions try to plan them yourself as thats where cruises catch you out and often charge you way more.
Oh I’m not sure you meant to write this under this cabin tour, James?
Our favourite cabins on any of the P&O fleet , lots of storage and space 😁. Great vlog my friend 😁💯👍
Thank youuuu Tonyyyyy
I do love a walk in wardrobe - that looks like a good cabin choice!!
❤️❤️❤️
Yes I would pay extra..I’m with you like my time on the balcony..and I travel solo so I like my time chilling in the cabin 😊
I’m the same!!
At that price, it's even reasonable value for a sole occupancy as I guess you pay for the entire cabin, but it should be a bit less as only one flight ticket.
Ooh❤ looks cool ❤ Gotta go to work now but l will watch later
👀👀👀
I love this class of ship and this one is almost identical to the Princess ships of the same class. I think you will find that the tv's will be upgraded and placed on the wall where the artwork currently sits which is what they did on Princess when Azura goes in for drydock and a refit.
Yes i Imagine this to be the case too
We had similar cabin D321 May last year for the Greek cruise from Malta lovely cruise however we had to pay extra for our flights as we booked before Xmas and they had run out of free flights from Gatwick 😮 so if you need Gatwick book early or travel up north to fly! The rest of our family managed to get the free flights as they went from Manchester 😂 but we had a lovely family holiday with P&O and thoroughly enjoyed the cabin with all the little extras! 🎉😊
👍👍👍
What… £849 pp for a week including flights???? That’s a banging price! 👍
It is indeed
Wow 😮that’s a great price 💰💰💰 xxx 😘
Yup, a good find!!
It was great, my good friend.
I hope that the channel will become a million.❤❤❤🎉🎉😊😊
Thank you so much 😀
❤❤❤
😎😎😎
Thanks for another brilliant cabin tour video, Jamie! This looks like a brilliant cabin 😍
It's definitely in the mini/junior suite range of cabins 😍 We had quite a few people think we'd stayed in a mini suite when we had a Deluxe Balcony om Iona, but its that word "Superior" that makes the difference!
It is a shame the TV is so small and difficult to see, but given how nice the cabin is overall we thunk we'd survive 😁
Oh yes, minor point about the TVs 😉
Ah the joys of speed typing while a toddler demands toast 😁
@@MarinaAndJoeGo lol 😂
@TravelBlogJamie there's just not time to proof read anything. The number of times I've message someone "I'll be there I'm a minute" is honestly distressing 😅
Azura and Ventura have brilliant larger balconies on C deck. If you choose front or aft cabins on this deck they are extremely affordable one of the cheaper balconies on board. Great tip
👍
We've only got an inside booked on Azura this summer 😢 Really hoping they offer a good price on the bidding process for these cabins.
Oh fingers crossed for you!!
Love these cabins
Me too ❤️
Love these cabins always have D205, going again in 4 weeks 😅
I love them too
We have been on Arcadia and Aurora off on Azura 8th March looking forward to it😀
Oh enjoy!!
Knickers on a hook? Knickers on the wardrobe floor? Jamie behave! You have a very silly sense of humour, and I love it ❤
You don’t put your knickers on the hooks?! Lol 😂
Hi Jamie,
Thats an excellent price for such a good cabin, would struggle to get such value on land😊
Had similar cabin on Ventura.
Absolutely true what you say!!
Lovely cabin would be very happy with mid ship room. Hope ours is as nice on Sky Princess July. X
Enjoy 😊
One cheek two cheeks make rosy cheeks la la la. Enjoyed your vlog Jamie an awesome cabin. Thank you Jamie.
Lol 😂
Thank you, so pleased to have discovered your fab videos! And it's helped us to choose this grade cabin. Did you get much noise disturbance being near to the lifts? We're looking at the same cruise but in Nov and can't get anywhere near that price, in fact it's almost double! Can I ask who you book with please?!
I book direct every time and we didn’t hear the lifts, no ❤️
Another great video! Stayed in a similar one on D Deck in November flying from Glasgow. Mine cost £200 more than yours just for me and I got no canapes. Not sure why. I have any other time. Love the cabin but very expensive for one person. Having said that-I would go again. Thanks for the video.
I would have asked if they didn’t arrive!
I thought it was cutbacks! I am also Caribbean tier. I had to ask at reception 3 times for my slippers. Get the impression as a solo female passenger they were not particularly bothered.
That really does look like a great cabin - and excellent value especially as flights are included plus full board - that's an amazing deal. I've no doubt the price reflects a) time of year but also b) slightly tired cabin. That wouldn't bother me though as long as it's clean and comfortable.
Absolutely - and didn’t bother us either!
@@TravelBlogJamie I'm getting closer and closer to maybe booking a cruise lol! Probs a 3 day affair from Southampton just to try
I agree about the grey art work! Some bright spark in the office probably thinks it's 'on trend' . No lie, that's put me off,I couldn't wake up to that ever day. It's a shame as i think it's a great size. Also ,the plastic grass . Sorry,I'm such a diva!xx
Well these have been here for years so I imagine they’ll go with the refit. It would never put us off though.
Nice cabin 👍 do you get to keep the bins and atlas ? We followed your advice previously re request ice from the cabin steward ours appeared daily at requested time of 5.30ish. Will ask for fresh milk next time I hate those UHT sachets. Had a laugh at the 6 cans of water for GBP 8 this really is "never give a sucker an even break"
No, don’t keep the atlas / binoculars. Oh the cost of water crisis lol 😂
We are sailing in may 3 adults in a balcony cabin, will they put 3 chairs on the balcony for us , thanks Jamie
You might have to ask tbh
tinkle or winkle or finish a push. Please stand up when you flush
Never a truer word spoken!
"Insert an old Boots card"
Cue Emma Cruises Britishism of the Week: For the non UK viewers, this is a loyalty card for "Boots", a health and beauty retailer.
Also, "if you've got a big hairy bush..." Behave!
Also, your cabin number is an American slang related to marijuana. Deliberate?
I’m not one for behaving!!
Kate, George or the old bull n Bush
Wouldn't like that hair dryer
