Those prickly bushes are cholla cactus, commonly referred to as "jumping cactus". They don't really jump at you, but if you happen to brush by them closely they are kind of springy and can swing back and stick to you. Best way to remove a piece if it gets stuck on your shoe or pants is to use a large comb. However, you may still need a pair of pliers to remove individual thorns.

LMAO!! I remember when we bought our dogs their Mukluks!! What a sight watching our high stepping dogs!! It didn't take Lando long to determine running was more fun than worrying about his feet! We were out in Brenda just south of Salome a couple weeks ago! Sounds like we just missed you! That Arizona Peace Trail is our next offroad trail!!

My 4 year old daughter and I have been watching your family's show together since she was born. She loves watching the "Adventure Guys" on their bikes and is always asking "where's Caroline?" (also known to her as "Big Caroline" as she also likes "Little Caroline" from Lifestyle Overland) while we watch. Before sitting down to today's episode, she said, "I sure hope Caroline is in this one" to which I asked, "Why? What is it that you like so much about Caroline?" I’ve watch from season 1 and always sample the latest videos from too but I’m still at season 3 now. But seeing how much your family has moved. Since seasons 1 to 3. Is already so inspiring. I’m in Asia Hong Kong now but will be retrieving to Boston Mass where I grew up. I plan on also doing family road trip but likely more ‘glamping’ first to see how we like it first. My gut feel is my family will really like it. My wife’s family know farming from China and she loves nature so I like to show my family my america but from another perspective. Thank you EFRT. I think that was a water bin. Used to hold water for a house that was downhill. It gave them water pressure due to the uphill placement. I could be wrong. I Love Lando!

Like my home land. My poor dog had a very bad experience last sunday when we went hiking. We spent like an hour takin off all the spiny seeds out of her paws. So painful that she at one poit stop walking.

I agree with “That Guy Nico” who agreed with “Chad Hursh”. 👍 I believe we humans would be a much more content species if we could learn how to lay down on dirt and rocks and be in total bliss like Lando can.
There are professional dog trainers that can provide training to "snake proof" your dog so that it doesn't approach a snake that it might encounter. Many hunting dog owners have their dogs go thru this type of training. I have seen both dogs & horses that have been bitten by rattle snakes & it is a long painful recovery process as well as a high vet bill.
Is Lando named after someone or ??? I always defaulted to Lando Calrissian from Star Wars, but then I was thinking the Jeeps are explorer themed named. And I was like, Oh Land - O ... Land .... Overland ... Lando.

Those are saguaro cactus… They are unique to the area… Some of them are hundreds years old. It’s illegal to cut or somehow destroy them.
