The importance of testing for varroa cannot be said enough! Thanks for showing how simple it is done. The hardest part for many is the idea of sacrificing 300 bees but in the big picture and for the betterment of the colony it is a necessity.
This year I am 100% committed to being a mite murdering machine. Got lucky with temps this year. OA in the spring, Formic Pro after the nectar flow stopped 2 weeks ago and apivar starting sept 1..... Good vid, thanks.
Hello. Question for anyone. I have a hive that has been queenless for two weeks, and have tried requeening twice and both times they have killed the queen. I’m certain I don’t have a virgin queen. Yet I did find and remove 18 live queen cells. Was that the reason? Any tips on how to introduce the next queen without them killing her?
We sell honey from several local apiarists (including our very own, Cora Smith). Visit our website or give us a call to see what we currently have in stock.

You got that right. We don't like to willingly kill our bees, but unfortunately it's a part of the job. The rest of the colony will thank them!
thanks for the video and hope the hive survives
