I have done two Spanglers, and I'm currently worked on Home for Christmas. He is my favorite artist to work on; his colors and the adorable subject matter do it for me every time. They always make me smile upon completion. My craft room is set up so I can have my latest 6 finishes hanging up for me to enjoy them until they get replaced with the newer finishes. Spanglers are always the hardest for me to take down. I currently have 3 more in my stash right now, and they are on my schedule for completion this year. Two are older kits that I bought on Amazon so I am expecting some gapping and trashier drills, but I do have one new one. I love your Literate Dragon and where you chose to enhance it. Great job!!
I love this, I am such a library nerd, and they had the picture in one of the libraries I used to go to. I think I really need to do a Spangler at some time since I am a Spangler.
Love ur draglin, he's so cute love his smoking jacket. To bad about all the trashy drills making it less enjoyable, but he is beautiful Have a great day, looking forward to ur next piece. ❄️🧊❄️
Hi Daphne congratulations on your finish, I have done 10 Spanglers so far, I am working on my 11th one. My goal is one a month this year. Thanks for sharing.
@@darcyfoster2976 Oh, interesting. All of mine have been square, except for the really big one, so maybe that’s part of why I enjoyed some more than others. The Firefly one was round and I loved it. The Sundae Surprise was square, but it was a much newer kit, so the drills were much better. Thanks for watching!!!
I've completed 14 Spangler's so far. My favorite square was So Many Books So Little time. My favorite round was Train of Dreams. Literate dragon is one I haven't seen completed too much. Maybe because it's not Dewey and Dagmar--it definitely sold less than the others.
Nice! I have two colors in my kit that may be slightly different colors, but at a glance they are exactly alike. (And another set as well) have you had this? It’s a diamond dotz kit
@@Azure_Jewel I would love to recycle drills, but I’ve never found a good answer to whether you can. The recycling places I’ve gone to didn’t know either, and if they don’t know, they won’t take it. Which is why I try to use them in other things.
That is a LOT of trash for a DAC kit. It seems to me that darker colors always have more trash than the lighter colors, no matter what brand it is. You could try getting one of those "coloring page" diamond paintings to start using up your spare drills.
Absolutely adorable. Glad you got it done. On to more DP fun! Enjoy. 💜💎🎨👩🦳
@@gloripetersen3745 Me too! Thanks for watching!
Hey Daphne, to separate your clumpy drills, put them in an old Rx bottle with a couple quarters and shake the fool out of them. It works.
@@graylagran7443 Ooh, I think you’ve shared that before and I forgot! Thanks for reminding me!!
I love this method. I quote Bob Ross when I do it and it brings me joy 😂❤
Wonderful! Also, very cool storage system.

@@TheCraftyDiamond Thank you!!
I just purchased this one on restock, I can’t wait to do this one now that I have seen yours 😊

Hello Daphne , I really prefer the rounds for the dragons . It seems to look better . At least for me .

@@jessdiamondpaints I can see that. I bought it because it was books, lol.
I've sometimes been able to place 2 or 3 drills that are stuck together on the painting if the pattern calls for it.😊
@@briemerlot2896 Sometimes you can break them apart too, it was just easier to use other drills. Thanks for watching!!
