I said nice race to you afterwards, you didn't seem pleased with it but you really crushed it out there. Awesome to see you back down around 4, really inspirational. Much love.
Funny that you were up there this weekend - I was up visiting a college with my daughter and interestingly enough on the way home we stopped at a rest stop in CT and there were a bunch of Wilton track kids there... Really nice race - like the way you were looking there strong and controlled throughout and pushed through to second place - time may not have been what you wanted but you ran very tactically well there. Congrats and look forward top the next race.
I was so happy for you when I saw the title man. You are always saying "trust the process" and now you know you are there. Glad your faith has paid off. The analysis post race was one of my favorite bits you've ever done personally. Keep up the great work and good luck man. We are all rooting for you
“I’m ready to go, and that’s exciting, and that’s dangerous” don’t know if there’s any better words that could describe the passion I feel toward running right now, just finished up our last week of swim and I’m taking this week off and am going to be running again this Thursday and I’m going all in this year. Hoping to break a school record and go to state if I trust the process like Spencer keep saying
This is giving me motivation while I recover from my ankle sprain. I hope I can get back into shape and that you can achieve your dreams this season, Spencer!
This meet was the first time I ever got to see you race live and that was really exciting. Thanks for the content and thanks for such a fun to watch race.
#TheProcess Looked strong Spencer...loved seeing you own the workouts and know where your race times may end up. But dude-in those moments look at how you competed....it was awesome to watch you chasing for that win!!
WE'RE BACK BABY also i love the new intro it would be cool if that overlayed (or transitioned into) actual footage before like ending also also i love the post race commentary just like ur vids from last year
I had a pretty similar race to this in that I ran my PR but wasn't fully happy as to how it happened. Been racing fairly well the 2-3 races before this week but it goes to show my fitness is where it needs to be heading into championship season running!
Did the 800 in high school (1:58). You need speed. Go with 200's and 300's (repeats), then race several 400's (reserve if necessary). You will find that it's the best way to break the others down the home stretch. Go get 'em!
Congrats to a great performance ! I do not have any informations about your racing schedule, but if you are given one more shot and faster splits, you are capable to run SUB4. You are in shape to do it, but you need to match the circumstances.
Given that you ran a 4:01 indoor, I am curious what your thoughts are on the new WR 5k set today.. only a 7 second slower pace for over 3 times longer. Seems like that guy HAS to be doping as top end athletes are sprinting 1 mile at near that pace.
Good job! Not brilliant and you're right not to be completely satisfied but obviously things are moving in the right direction. Fit enough to run well under 4:00 but you need the right race for this. Keep grinding!

Rob love that quote

Man, being this close to breaking 4 again while raising a child is super inspirational. Keep it up Spence!
5:20 you see how everyone followed wat he did
lmaooo he gave em the lil head nod
Your a joker 🃏 just went back to see it 😂😂😂
So close to breaking 4 again! Keep this up and a new PR is definitely in store for you!
LETS GET IT SPENCE YOUR WHOLE SEASON IS IN FRONT OF YOU
Oof, this didn't age well
Did not age well at all
Managed to become a pro still

I stuck around to the end, was a good chat. Great running Spencer as you said it's exciting to see where you can be now.
3:55 coming this year, you just have to really keep your focus up and go get it.
Despite being a soccer student athlete, I really enjoy your content, your commitment to the sport and your advices. Keep grinding man :)
Sickkk new intro
Happy for you Spencer. I know probably not the season you wanted so far but your attitude about it has been a real help for me! Grind paying off!
Amazing video thx. Loved the outro, so so real. Stay injury free and nail it. Well done.
This is giving me motivation while I recover from my ankle sprain. I hope I can get back into shape and that you can achieve your dreams this season, Spencer!
"Oh the pacer" Robbie Andrews 🤧🤧
I just ran an amazing indoor mile at 5:13. 11 second PR. Your videos help motivate me
That slow mo intro was a sign of greatness 😦
This meet was the first time I ever got to see you race live and that was really exciting. Thanks for the content and thanks for such a fun to watch race.
I’m with you. I’ve had some crappy races and workouts recently and I’m tired of it. I hate it. There’s gonna be a change, and it’ll be big

Great job man. You got the mindset and confidence to take you where you need to go.
Not a bad run Mr. Spencer. Certainly not an elite 4:01.3 at University of Washington, but not bad!
Very fast in an athlete special video = instant watch
Great race, loved watching it. U r the best Spencer

The videos keep getting better and better
I feel like Gucci Mane in 2006
I feel like Gucci Mane in 2006
All these diamonds dancing on my fucking neck cost like four bricks
Not to troll, but I thought you ran 3:59 before indoor? I cant find the video but I coud have sworn you had
yea he did, he ran like a 3:59:97 i think the title was like “I RAN SUB-4 IN THE MILE ***BEST RACE EVER***
Cool intro! 👍But I'm sure you'll hear the gripes about the old one being retired.
I see a 3:55 coming soon! Good race Spencer!
I feel you, I recently just lost a race but competed well, ofc I was disappointed, but I competed well and it has boosted my confidence a lot.
Hey I have a 4xmile race coming up and I’ve done bad on the past 2 times miles, any advice? Low key outta shape😂
As a high school 800/miler going into pre-season soon, what would you recommend for speed training before the season begins? Great race!

Will do thanks!

Great race, great post race analysis
Love the new intro
Congrats to a great performance ! I do not have any informations about your racing schedule, but if you are given one more shot and faster splits, you are capable to run SUB4. You are in shape to do it, but you need to match the circumstances.
OMG! Bro! You're on fire! Keep it up!!!!
Any tips on how to not get injured? I've gotten injured at least once every season for the past year.
So inspirational. Proud of you 🙏
Keep believing in yourself Spence and you will improve!
