It's official , Steve is touring again. Not with Journey! He will be doing small concert halls at first and don't expect the long high notes , although he can still hit them. He is doing radio interviews which can be checked out on youtube. He's recording a new album now and if you haven't yet , check out his last album Traces. His voice has matured but it's still great.

The ENTIRE Trial By Fire album is a masterpiece! Its a shame the We've hurt his hip before ever being able to tour. When a man loves a woman was the only video from the album. Check out he entire album, you won't be disappointed!

To me, this song was one of the highlights of the album; very much their sound when it came to the rockers. i always enjoy watching people enjoy music that i enjoy. :) I bought the Trial By Fire album back in '96 when i was in high school. Journey was one of my mother's favorite bands and on this album they brought the fire, the calm, the philosophical, and the contemporary all in the same album.
You haven’t heard their first replacement singer, Steve Augeri. The first song he did with Journey was similar to this one, as in uptempo and groovy. It’s called Remember Me. It’s from the Armageddon movie soundtrack.
Oh goodness!!! This song is sooooooo AMAZING!!! I can only imagine what it would have sounded like 'LIVE'!!! In my honest opinion, there are some songs from TBF; that I'm not too fond of. However, these are my most favorite from the album. 'Don't Be Down On My Baby (this song holds something very special in my heart, I went through a very hard time with my hubby; and it spoke to me), Still She Cries, It's Just The Rain, Trial By Fire' Now these songs are on the mellow side. However, they are amazing!
This album is Journey's last real album. It was musically the best in my opinion, lots of great songs. If you like Neal Schon listen to "You can't take the Lion"!!!! It kicks a$$

In the mid 90s I started collecting Journey on cassette. I think they had just put out some new Remasters, so I started picking them up. And then they released this album in '96, and at the time, in the mid-90s, when music was sacking as a whole, this album was kinda a breath of fresh air. Coming from an AOR Band from the 70s and 80s, that hadn't released anything since '86, it was kinda great getting back into the band, but then Steve Perry up and left after this Tour in '98. And I never bought anything from the band since. I just remember this track as I had a job that was about 60 miles away and I'd jam to this album quite a bit while driving to that job and back. It was only a 3 month factory job recycling industrial waste plastic thru a Temp agency and I failed to get hired on permanently because just as I was figuring out the job and getting my production up, my 3 months was up. But that 3 months felt like an eternity, and in hindsight, it was probably a good thing I didn't stay on because a lot of the plastic had fiber glass in it, and grinding it up was not the healthiest thing to do, despite wearing face masks.
Written by John Bettis, Steve Perry, Jonathan Cain and Neal Schon. Bettis wrote Crazy for You and other hit songs 🎵. Last great 👍 rock song from the Steve Perry version of Journey. Journey continues with Arnel Pineda. He can sing. I saw 👀 his videos before Journey in his nation The Philippines 🇵🇭. He leads Journey into another direction.
Frontier album is really well worth your time. Every album is great and a bit different from other albums And a must listen. Maybe listen in your down time and judge for yourself

If you're interested in some up-tempo performances, try "Wheel In The Sky" ( a mid-tempo rock classic) or "Separate Ways" (a high- energy rock favorite). You'll love them!
@@PhiliminizzyReacts the Live in Houston 1981 version of Wheel In The Sky is more up tempo than the studio version, and 9 times out of 10, their live versions are better. But I'll admit the official video from 1978 is a good one. But you have got to see the cheesy video that was created for Separate Ways. Music videos were just getting started and this one was awful. BUT, you won't notice it - the song, the melody, the pounding beat will be what you remember.

Separate Ways is from 1982; Message Of Love ( from 1996 ) takes a lot of inspiration ( aka stealing from yourself ) from Separate Ways.
