I've only ever ridden nakeds...MT07 (to pass my test), CB125R which I had from my CBT days and a few months after my MOD 2, now I ride a 2024 CB650R. I thought about getting a CBR650R but the looks of the naked just get me everytime.
I love the look of sports bike and I had a sport bike when I was younger. I know own a naked bike and I I love it. Prefer the looks of sports bike but now prefer the comfort my naked bike.
So I rode the cb125 naked and sv650 for CBT and mods. I have recently just got my 2024 Yamaha R7 and I love it! So much fun and no regrets! It’s the bike I’ve wanted and finally have. It’s mainly down to preference, how you sit on the bike and have w comfortable you feel. But regardless, you all ride bikes and you will all get the nod! 🤘
After watching Pud wizz through Harden and Cullingworth, im now the proud owner of a cb125r 😂 I'm 6'4" and just looking at the riding position of sports bikes gives me back ache. Never actually ridden one though so i could be wrong and find them really comfy.
I prefer naked because I mostly ride around in dense city roads. Not much of a fan of going super fast numbers wise, I'm more interested in just very skilled riding. So the less air resistance, aggressive ergonomics, etc, wouldn't ever be truly used if I had one.
Yeah that's why I think for the roads a naked bike will always be superior. But a sporty track bike would be ideal because then you are getting the use out of the aggressive position and air resistance
I ride a cbr f4i, until now when I rode mainly in a radius of 50km (30 miles) I was very happy with the bike. But I went on a trip and one day I did 400km (250 miles). I will only say that the forced, bent position tired me out a lot. For 2 days I still felt pain in my back and wrists. Comfort is important though and I think I need to look for another bike.
Not having a windscreen and being upright in the wind blast is a no no for me. I could imagine in theory going over 100mph is a lot more taxing on a naked then when I theoretically do it on my VFR. I also find it easier to filter, but that's probably subjective to the rider. The big selling point for me for naked is doing maintenance. Stripping off all the fairing to just change the oil filter is a chore...
I had spent yrs riding NAKED BIKES... Seating positions is very comfortable. Now i wanna ride some Full-faired SPORTS BIKES...!!!! I Know that it's seating position won't be that great.
Eyyy you've gotta give it a go though I suppose! Naked will always be there so give the sports a go! Comfort wise you wont enjoy as much but the thrill of riding them is mega haha
Rode both, feel more at home on a sports but can defo cover more miles on a naked, hence why I’m thinking of going back to a naked… sports bike look much better though!
Naked = long day hooning Sports = long day hooning with back ache That being said I want to trade my naked in for a sports bike because they're darn sexy
I learnt on a naked then rode my mates sports, couldn't get on with it at all, naked is a lot more fun in my opinion, I got a Suzuki SV650 when passed and found it a lot easier. If it's comfort your after look into cruisers! Kawasaki Vulcan 650 is great for long journeys
Mine is sports bike. Always loved the looks of racing bikes. However i caveat that with my bike CBR650R is purely a dry weather fun machine. If i had to daily a bike in all weathers maybe i would choose something different? When i was 17 my daily was a TZR250 tbf. 30k miles in all weathers. But now i am 50 for a daily maybe a naked mt-09?
One major difference between naked a supersport is the way the power comes on. Most naked bikes are tuned for better low end torque while supersports are mostly top end power. Naked bikes are faster in lower speed acceleration on the road where supersports are much faster higher speeds on the track. I prefer low end torque but with a fairing so I ride a Bandit 1250s.
Bottom line here sports bikes were designed to be a closer style to the track race bikes which are not design for comfort but minimal air resistance, but they put a lot of stress on the body, and that's it basically, people wanted to 'look' like their track racing hero and were more than prepared to suffer for it 🤷🏻♂️
I personally think so, did cbt on the 125 f and then bought a 125r and the r seemed better in every way other than performance, because lets be fair nobodies is buying a 125 for that hahaha
I own a naked bike a bandit 600 and the wind is bad above 80 tbh 115 is hold on or probably gonna be off the back off the bike i am only about 10 stone 😅
Haven't riden a sports bike. However the naked over 70mph is an absolute chore. Holding on for dear life over 100mph Haa don't make me laugh. Every force known to man what's to take me off the bike.

Yeah that makes sense, I mist admit the new CB650R in the green is very near the top of my list for the next bike! Absolute beauties
Love the looks of sport bikes but naked for me as it’s better for my old back!
I think I'm very much on your wave length!
I love the look of sports bike and I had a sport bike when I was younger. I know own a naked bike and I I love it. Prefer the looks of sports bike but now prefer the comfort my naked bike.
Think Im probably on the same wave length as you bud! Next bike likely to be a slightly higher powered naked

Yep completely agree with you mate, R7 is a beautiful bike too I could absolutely see myself getting one of them!

I knid of know what you mean about the filtering, feel slimmer somehow on the sports bike. Yeah stripping off the fairings is a ball ache!

Yeah exactly that, its just all about what you are using the bike for isn't it. Must admit sports bikes do look absolutely awesome!
naked all day for me i just love how they look and ride
Yeah I think I'd have to agree!!
And working on the things is at best a pain because you have to remove a shit load of plastic before you get to the engine
Yeah exactly!
@pudmoto so could we be seeing you on a naked some time in the future
I personally think my next bike will be a naked, something like an mt09 of a z1000
Naked = long day hooning
Sports = long day hooning with back ache
That being said I want to trade my naked in for a sports bike because they're darn sexy
🤣🤣 You couldn't of said it any better hahaha

I definitely think naked is as far as i'd go chasing comfort, wouldn't go further towards cruisers. SV is a solid bike too

Yeah that is fair enough mate. I'm think something like an MT-09 next would be a great shout!

Yeah I think thats a pretty good explanation for the difference in power distribution for sure
A comfy sport bike such as a cbr650r is perfect more sports tourer than super sport. As nakeds get very annoying with the wind
Yeah so thats kind of the position I am in with my cbr600f, its sports but with a much comfier riding position, closer to a ninja 650 than say a zx6r.
I want a 2024 MT-09 Mod 2 booked next month 🤞
Ooohhhh yeah they are absolutely stunning!! Great choice! Oh dude good luck!!!
Just bought a 2012 Kawasaki Er6n. Just prefer the look with it being more exposed.
Great option for a bike! Super reliable and very affordable. Look ace too

Yeah it is certainly a price to pay to look even cooler though hahah
Getting another honda 125f ,was the r better that you had

🤣🤣 I'm a little bit heavier than that... 'little bit' so I'm hoping I'd stay on the bike a little easier at higher speed
@@pudmoto yeah it's fine can always tuck if needs be 😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣 Oh absolutely
Love it❤
Thanks alot buddy!!

🤣🤣🤣 I only ever got to 80 on my naked bike, can't imagine going above 100 and actually holding on 🤣🤣
@@pudmoto if its a windy then it's ridiculous over 100 😂😂😂
🤣 Absolutely launch ya
@@pudmoto be orate send it 😂😂😂🏍️🏍️🏍️🏍️
It's 50/50😅

Awesome looking 125!!

Wooooah no way! That's amazing mate! I do think you'll be sound on one! Got quite a high seat height for a 125 too so fingers crossed it fits you well
@@pudmoto loving it so far 😁
