I played Grimgor for the first time my last campaign. My first time playing greenskins too. Quickly became my favorite faction. I love the non stop aggression you can have, with a fairly typical campaign map playstyle. Armies play a lot like beastmen where it's just nonstop action but you get the settlement playstyle too and I loved it. By turn 30 I had 6 armies and was still earning 10k gold per turn, I've never had such a great economy and powerful armies with any of the other factions I've played, especially so early in the game
Played Grimgor as my first greenskin and after finding a basic regen item and with some tips from some friends i found a viable tactic in sending him out into the field to kill the enemy lord and occupy large chunks of their army at the same time while the rest of my army was out-positioning and flanking the the occupied enemy. The guy is a fucking machine. Even had him solo an underway ambush because the rest were too hurt to participate.
Karak Kadrin. Christ. Just started Azhag's campaign, steamrolled my way down to that tiny provence, declared war, attacked Karak Kadrin. Full stack for me vs full dwarf stack plus reinforcements as I couldn't see what was garrisoned, I got annihilated. They are NOT messing about down there. Steer clear.
Dude Costin ive been waiting so long for a TW youtuber like you. You are covering content that nobody else is really getting any depth into. When I watch your videos I figure out really how the faction works on a macro level.
Great video ^_^, So Greenskins where do we start.. they are the strongest faction IF you play orcs, spiders, and trolls or Grom. BUT I come bearing good news ^_^ the mod for greenskins is amazing its adds all the units that the GOBO's need as well as the Savage boys we all love so we can be da bestest prophet ever. As a fellow green skin enthusiast I cannot recommend **EXPANDED GREEN SKINS ROSTER- Orcs and EXPANDED GREENSKINS ROSTERS-Goblins** It add pretty much all the units that are missing from forest gobos, to snotlings to savage orc biguns. IF you want to steamroll and campaign you roll Wurzag with a full stack of savage biguns with clubs, and a savage orc boss or 2 and watch the world shake. Also if you like the black orcs you also get the other weapons type CA coundn't be bothered to add which would be the duel weapons and sword and board types. Basically you get all the missing parts to WAAAAAAAAAAG to your hearts content.
Azhag is the best because of his “wizardly weapon “rap upgrade. It gives you a +20% power recharge rate on each unit, and it stacks! If you run around with a bunch of stackis you will max out your power recharge rate with every army by turn 20. It’s insane, with his faction you can use all the wins of magic you will ever get in the battle in the first couple minutes
So after starting a skarsnik campaign yesterday and getting most of the map by turn 70 in mortal empires I would say he’s still pretty good and I’m only using gobbo stacks
Love and appreciate the content man, respectfully disagree on Skarsnik though, he's a poopstack campaign map blobber up there with the VCounts and Grom.
Skarsnik is literally the best Greenskin lord rofl. Also, why are you building goblin archer/troll armies with him? Build Literal multi stacks of nothing but Goblin Lords and Nasty Skulkers. Nasty Skulkers in Mass will murder everything and you can roll around the map with 20+ armies of them.
Nasty Skulkers deal way more damage than gob archers, shred even high tier units in a flank, and utilize stalk to assassinate backline archers, casters, and artillery. Super versatile and must pick unit when used correctly. And any large army you field with another lord Skarsnik can field double that and WAY earlier. Might be harder to use goblin themed armies at first but definitely not weak.
@@Costin_Gaming a Nasty Skulker Army is literally like 800 gold, Hell if you throw in any Support Heroes it gets down to 0. In no way is any other Greenskin Lord able to compete with a Skarsnik Gobbo Spam campaign. Hell Using Orcs is actually a weakness, as they cost gold to maintain.
Just checked it in my crooked moon game, with 22 Armies on the field a Nasty Skulker army is 869 gold... That's with 2 forest goblin spider runners in it, so its around 860ish without them and skulkers instead i think. That's 22 Armies with Black Orc Army for Grimgor, Savage Orc Army for Wuz, Goblin Army for Grom, Night Goblin Army for Skar, and a Bigun Orc Army for Azhag Hell Grimgors army is 5604 Gold right now, I could buy literally 6 more nasty skulker armies for that.
True, just finished a very hard/very hard Skarsnik campaing and he is just as insane as in Warhammer II. Buff gobbos with is red line and just spam gobbo armies. Also even one leveled up gobbo army is no joke, they are heavy dmg dealers.
To be honest, if they just give the Skarsnik a simple skaven ambush attack stance This alone will elevate his value by a ton Just allow Skarsnik to do ambush attacks just how you give this to Alith Anaar And about the grom, I should say every time I play as him I just disband my initial starting position and strait bee-lining for the badlands to get wurzag And from then after I just going north to get skarsnik and Azhag and Grimgor
Oh boy. Is this strongest lords or factions? Because it doesn't matter how "weak" Skarsnik is, his faction is overpowered period. Believe it or not it's going to get nerfed before Broken Axe in wh3. That 40% upkeep reduction you somehow glossed over is a force multiplier with Greenskin econ, not a replacement. You could have had about 2 more half to full stacks, there is a reason people are using Crooked Moon for speedruns and shenanigans. Think of it like High Elf vs Dark Elf econ in wh2, sure High Elf was higher later but the turns required for such a statement to be true made the whole thing irrelevant, Dark Elves had the best economy. Crooked Moon gets so far ahead of the other Greenskins even Broken Axe he's probably the strongest faction or at worst tied with Grom, which will sound insane to someone that only played wh1/2. As this looks like factions Azhag has to be the caboose/dumpster especially with Wurrzag garrisons being normalized and savage orcs removed. I've gone on long enough though so maybe someone else can explain why and how he's easily the worst Greenskin faction, and a mediocre lord to boot on top of that.
It's not good because you waste movement points to get it, besides the vast majority of armies are easy enough to fight directly that you don't need it. Ambush has very little value besides drawing enemies into a trap instead of having to chase them.

You are simply wrong, you completely missed the mark on how to play skarsnik. He actually is the strongest greenskin if you have the slightest idea what you are doing in this game. As other people have pointed out you just go nasty skulker spam, which is the only thing you need to dominate a campaign with him and yet you are completely unaware of this before making this video
Yeah, I don’t think trying to make a top list of anything is a good idea when your clearly don’t know what your talking about at times. Like sure, you make valid points here & there but overall this list should be not taken to heart by anyone truly interested in playing greenskins in TW3. Taking off my recommend list
As a new player I found this video really difficult to follow. Your descriptions were bouncing all over the place and you were explaining abilities and showing the tooltip of the ability for less than second before wafting the cursor around, moving the camera and toggling different screens. I’ve noticed that a lot of your videos are far longer than some other TH-camrs that stream similar content. If you would structure your content and be more concise it would make you videos a lot more useful in my opinion. Bouncing between topics and the constant visual distractions make for a very frustrating experience as a viewer. I do hope that you take my comment as constructive, as I do respect that you’ve taken your time to produce this video. :)
i disagree on skarsnik, his ability to spam the best GS units en masse is really powerful i d argue he is #2 behind grom (gobbos stronk) as long as oyu dont take the underbosses skill

Skarsnik getting Skave type ambushes would make squigs much more useful I think. Would be pretty awesome.

Goblin Archers will get the job done just as fine and I will be able to maintain large armies with any of the LL.
