great seeing you fish with you Dad i grew up the same way..but joined the Navy at 18 , same story went on Boat Cox'n training and they said i passed on the 3 rd day,LOL..I am now 70 and teaching the Grandsons to run my boat.
I grew up in NJ, used to go to the Shrewsbury River, did loads of crabbing and fishing for Blue fish, yellow fin and fluke.. ... My youth was pretty cool at times.. I miss it.. Awesome seeing you spend all that time with your Dad.. those times are the most important..

Frank, we all know that a bad day’s fishing is better than a good day doing just about anything else! Especially when you are with family and friends, so enjoy your time with them. Maybe when you retire you'll go back to your grass roots and spend time with your dad.. Remember your dad is not looking forward as he ages he is looking back..love him and your mom and honor them everyday

Trust me, my father is going through stage 5 kidney disease so it is just a matter of time, but i did get to enjoy him taking me fishing, golfing and just wonderful life memories. Now our memories are spent on his deck talking about the good old days and i would never give those up either!
Loved watching these past few videos. I've watched your dad's boat pull pots from the beach many times. I even have a few of his bouys that washed up hanging from my shed!

What a beautiful area in which to grow up, Frank. I always dreamed of a life on the water or near the water. Any kind of water, lake, ocean, river, bay, etc. There’s just something about being around boats, fishing, etc. that always seemed to really call out to me. The closest I ever came to that was when I lived in Dana Point, CA for 2 years. I lived a mile from the beach and would go down to Dana Point Harbor for the night life, fresh fish market, restaurants, look at all of the boats, etc. I absolutely loved it.
I don't know what i am doing say the man that has been fishing for over 70 years. I can absolute see were frank got a lot of his personality. Best wishes from the Midwest to both of the Sloup's.

When I was a kid, I went fishing with my dad and my grandpa. Both died a long time ago. I was too young to appreciate the time I had with them. I was only a teenager when both passed. Seeing this makes me remember those moments around 25 years ago. Please make more videos like this.
