- A college cheerleader is furious over what she calls offensive sideline taunts from the opposing team during a March Madness basketball game. Hannah Koning, a senior on the squad from Saint Bonaventure University, stormed off the court and was followed by her coach, who was just as upset and pointed to someone behind her. Koning says a player lashed out at her, using offensive language that left her fuming. The player was identified in published reports as Saint Louis University freshman Jordan Nesbitt.

that player is probably just venting his own frustration from the game onto someone, lol. Then he targeted that cheerleader. Human beings like to transfer their own inner negativity onto someone else. So someone else takes in all the negative feelings, the perpetuators don't want to face and resolve within themselves. It's the easy way out for the more selfish types of people.

This is awful. I went through a similar experience a while back. I sneezed and nobody said “bless you”. It still affects my day to day life.
What a horrible experience. As someone who has said "bless you" to every single person who has sneezed near me, not hearing a single "thank you" still hurts me to this day.

Just as much, it could go forward at the hands of the mascot. He's the reason I'm loyal to them. And the same goes for Oregon State, Arkansas State, UCLA, Montana State, Kentucky, Ohio, and even Brigham Young University. In a relationship with a former cheerleader from any of those places, I'd be totally faithful and supportive.

As an insult survivor, i hope she recovers well from such devastating tragedy. Even after 5 years and hundreds of hours of therapy, I still wake up every night from the nightmares of that day i got insulted. Even if it takes decades, i hope she will continue to be brave and eventually overcome the trauma.

To go after the cheerleader of the opposing team is low. She did nothing to him other than cheer her team on like she's supposed to. Hope he gets suspended.
