Some very important info, in the future you need today each ones beak in the water as you put them in, so they know where it is. They also have to be at 95 degrees F for the first week of their life, you can drop it 5 degrees each week. To answer your question about the last time they've eaten or drank, never. Chicks can survive off the cold sack attached to them for the first 48 hours of their life, which is when you ship them.
That chick with no feathers on its neck is okay! It is called a a turken chicken. Thank you for rescuing them! Keep up the good work!

Wow.. I just hatched out a small batch of 45 yesterday and I think my record for most chicks at once was around 2k but this is insane! I can't believe they were going to just throw them out! Not many people want the little roo's but I'm sure you have some hens in there, it's really hard to be accurate with chicks. I have tried & tried to get the Naked Neck Turkens but when they hatch out it's been something else every time. I also see some Copper Marans, the black ones with the white spots on their heads are little roos, then the rest look like Rhode Island Reds & Whiteleggers but I can't tell with the solid black ones, they could be anything lol. Dang I wish I could just find thousands of chicks.. I'm jealous!

There is a species of chicken which is called the Naked Neck. I used to have one myself until a raccoon got into the coop and killed her and 2 other chickens. It’s so sad to see these dead chicks. I’ve had many chickens and it’s so sad to see them like this. Thank you for being a good man and saving these chickens. God bless 🙏

I’ve seen way more chicks. My grandpa’s best friend owns a chicken farm where he takes care of chicks until they go to another farm to lay eggs. I think he said there were 20,000 in one chicken house!

Transporting animals alive like this should be illegal. They are not objects or commodities. They are sentient beings who are suffering terribly for days in those boxes without food or water. Hey, I hope you were able to get a bigger setup and you definitely need a heat lamp for the chicks. I know it was an unplanned situation. But chicks need heat like 95 degrees the first couple weeks of life then you need to slowly turn the heat down. We have 14 now, lol and babies are fun but they grow up fast and can be a handful. Especially males lol. I would do your research and make sure you don't have meat birds, if you do the kindest thing to do would give them all to a farmer. So they can be raised and dispatched at the appropriate age. Good luck

This reminds me of the time I got to raise 2 baby chicks! We had a black one and a normal one!We named them Shadow and Chicky! Then we gave them to our auntie because she takes care of chickens!❤they were so cute
