Thank you for the video. I had no idea how to install my USB port until I saw your video. Simple enough. I also have a CRFl300 rally just got it last month.

Hi Heriberto, you are very welcome. Most things on the bike are simple enough. I’m no expert and sort of work things out as I go (in case you can’t tell!) Enjoy your new bike and ride safe!

Thats a perfect little custom mount for that. Always good to have a weather pack connector like that one. Now your set!

This was highly technical, but a very clean and useful install.
I accomplished the same thing with a double USB charger bought from Amazon.
I had the service tech at Dallas Honda install it on my handlebar when he installed all the other H2C accessories.
My USB charger does not go off with the ignition switch, though. It is wired into the battery.
It has a toggle switch underneath the dust cover to turn it off when not in use.
Thanks for another useful and interesting episode.

Thanks Allen. I guess switching with the ignition has some benefits, though having a separate switch is also useful. If the battery is nearly flat, automatically turning on other devices when you need the juice for the starter might not be ideal, though so far I have managed to avoid this.

Hi Andre, could you show sometime how you got 3 different power outlets from the one switched source? I think a lot of people are put off doing these things themselves out of concern the movement of the handlebars will pull out their connections. Thanks.

Hi Tony, I can. I’m having a bit of a break at the moment, partly planned (I worked out 4 months of content and 2 months break, twice a year was good for my sanity! I did mid-Feb to almost the end of June, so will pick up again in August so can do a video on this. Apologies that it’ll be a few weeks though. Have had a family emergency to deal with, so bike videos had to be paused for that, for which I can only apologise.

Hi from Germany. Can you tell my pls the right name of this plate / bracket to screwing in on the side ? Then maybe I can find it in Amazon or wherever.
    I like your videos 👍

    • @PeakMotorcycles

I don’t think you’ll find it on Amazon. They are made by a CRF300 owner on the UK Facebook group. His name is Mark Page and they are £19. This is the link:

If he can’t ship to Germany, let me know (admin@peakmotorcycles.com) and if he can send it to me, I’ll send it on.

      Hi,
They are Sumitomo HX-060 2-pole female waterproof connectors. Available from car electrical shops, eBay or, if you’re in the UK, the Peak Motorcycles shop 😁 (apologies for the shameless plug!). If you’re in the High Peak, and ever need Edale, collection is fine too!

My harness on the bike does not seem to get power when I turn on the ignition. I've verified my fuses are good. Does anyone have insight?

    • @PeakMotorcycles
      @PeakMotorcycles  ปีที่แล้ว +1

Probably a stupid question, but did you check power at the accessory connector itself? If so, are the pins intact? If not, then it’ll be the wire between the fuse box and the accessory connector. If still under warranty you could take it back to the dealer. If there is power in the connector but not your harness, check that the pins are pushed all the way into the connector and have the correct polarity. Also that the connector is pushed in to the ‘click’. Good luck!

Using my GPS to test (as it has obvious power on /off) when I plug the harness in as expected and turn the key on, it gets no power. When I use a harness with raw ends and invert the positive/ground the GPS turns on as expected with the key. This is leading me to believe that the factory harness was wired backward. Have you seen this before?@@PeakMotorcycles
