friends of mine have 2800ac of land off-grid an they started using fire protection using 500gal tanks like u set up with the 3in pump now they have I think 8-10 train tankers that they got from the rail road an use them for water tanks their like 30,000gal a piece an have pumps on all of them ,they have creeks that they set up for pumping water in2 any of the tankers the fire dept has used the tankers to refill their trucks when their is a fire near by they just got another tanker an had it put in the ground for protection up at their home

Here in the uk we wouldnt be permitted to draw water from the creek in drought times, we would need an expensive licence at other times, water in the evening when it cools down to reduce evaporation.
Dutch you can use that in case of a fire on the homestead , grass fires etc .. Question??? Why didn't you just hook up the suction hose to the outlet on the tank ??? Gravity flow into the pump might not have needed to prime the pump... But good setup !!!!!😊.

Did you know that you can use Dawn dish soap as class A fire foam it's way cheaper and works better than class A foam is $200 and Dawn dish soap is $25
