The Boss RC-10R is part of the next generation range of Boss Loop Station pedals, alongside the RC-5 and RC-500. Main features include 32-bit digital processing, 6 hours of stereo recording time, 99 memory patches for saving loops and settings, an onboard drum machine with 280 preset rhythms and 16 drum kits, 50 user rhythm patches, separate foot switches for the looper and drum machine, 2 loop tracks when in "sync" mode, selectable output filters, USB and MIDI connectivity and a control pedal input...all housed in a pedalboard friendly design with top mounted jack sockets.

Amazing demo!!! Thank you for this! I have been using an RC 300 for a few years now and looking for something to upgrade to. Although i'm mostly an acoustic artist, the drum sounds and customization in this pedal or intriguing. I just might upgrade to this pedal with a few extra external control pedals. I noticed that you had a tempo change in the last example is that something you can change on any of the pattern variations or do you have to find the patterns that are already programmed like that .and they are set like that .(obviously you can change the tempo I mean between part 1 and 2 )

hello, what a nice demo about the Boss RC10R. Based on your demo I want to buy this one. I play bass guitar and think this thing is a nice addition to play with at home and make my own music. Question, I can record 6 hours of loops. Does that mean if 6 hours of recording I only need 1 memory space?. Or can I record 99 times 6 hours?. Greetings Erwin.

Do you need a separate amp for the looper? I have a Boss Katana 100 with the Boss channel selector and if I am playing with distortion lead are the looper drums going to sound tinny and distorted?

How do you have the chords sound one way and the lead sound another way? E.g. chords have less distortion and then lead has more distortion.

Do I have to step on both buttons at the same time to stop the drums and my guitar?
I'd appreciate a run down of the cables required and where to get them. The only cable that came with the looper had two flat pins at one end and a round plug to fit into the box at the other. I guess the two pinned flat plug is for oriental outlets. The flat pins seem totally redundant. I have a Yamaha THR-30II wireless practise amp with a line6 relay that fits the guitar. How do I connect the looper through the guitar and amp? Never played electric before.

Do you know if you can erase a loop without it being audible? Example: you record a loop live but make a mistake and want to try again but dont want audience to hear it being played back for few seconds while it erases

without looking at any user's manual, personnaly I owned the RC-3 (earlier, simpler version) and it was possible. So if it isnt on this one, it sucks.

Hmm... I'm thinking that, instead of having this pattern 1/2 function, if you had the RC 5 instead, you could record an entire song as one long loop, right? Just playing it as you want to have it, intro, verse, chorus, verse and so on. That would also be possible, wouldn't it?
What voltage power adapter does it take?
When I try to save a loop, when your display said "Executing", mine just says stop all. I can't figure out how to save a track.
how to erase only track 2 in loop if i did something wrong without delete track 1?
How do I get rid of the obnoxious delay when just using the looper? There’s always about a 1-2 second delay as it starts the loop over

You have to start playing immediately when you stomp the first layer in. After that you can stomp in your overdub at any time and your playing will accumulate everytime the first layer repeats. Hope that helps.
@@mark-stefaniw it does, and this is the correct answer, I finally went back into the shop where I bought it and asked the guy and he showed me exactly what you just said. You have to play right as you stomp. Took a little practice to get it right, but it’s going well now. Thank you for the response though
How many many minutes can this loop?
I am not sure I understand the need for the hold right button to sync because the drum beat is the same, so just keep playing. Or, can the drum beat be changed to make a song with different drum phrases?
In one mode the looper starts. In the non-sync mode you can run the drum loops without necessarily using the looper. This is not an exhaustive description of the differences of the sync options.
Rc10 as a winner looper coz it can record 2 pattern include verse 1 and verse 2 song… other looper fail for this
How long should i wait to see a "midi-looper"?
No audio but midi events (for guitar synhts and/or keyboards) looped, so that i can change pattern on an arranger (or arranger module), or change the sound of the background chords (strings in the intro, hammond in the verse, synth brass in the chorus) without having the need to play always the same chords.

I have absolutley no idea how record one loop and then overdub it with a different guitar tone, whenever i record something on a clean chanel and then want to switch and overdub a distorted meledy, the whole piece changes to distortion, does anyone know how to fix this?
Make sure the distortion is before the RC10, not after it. Cheers, Dean
