All the jokes aside - The Ritual scene was beautifully well shot and with _Eye Wide Shut_ being Stanley Kubrick’s last ever film. He really did know how to capture the atmosphere of what was happening during the ritual with hundreds people disguised in cloaks and masks including Tom Cruise inside the mansion watching the sexual ritual being performed and with even the soft eerie music being played in the background.

After that I watched this movie I couldn't sleep for 3 months. That's not a lie. I've been felt like someone is watching me. This is the only movie which terrified me that much.
Probably what skyejacques said - picked up dark energy, even entities, from watching this. It happens. I refrain from most horror movies and such, but have watched a few sci-fi horror or drama horror movies that left me with severely bad energy/entity attachments afterwards. Yeah, I saw it in a theater 23 years ago. Felt eerie in that theater with that piano ringing and nothing else.

All the jokes aside - The Ritual scene was beautifully well shot and with _Eye Wide Shut_ being Stanley Kubrick’s last ever film. He really did know how to capture the atmosphere of what was happening during the ritual with hundreds people disguised in cloaks and masks including Tom Cruise inside the mansion watching the sexual ritual being performed and with even the soft eerie music being played in the background.

Probably what skyejacques said - picked up dark energy, even entities, from watching this. It happens. I refrain from most horror movies and such, but have watched a few sci-fi horror or drama horror movies that left me with severely bad energy/entity attachments afterwards. Eyes Wide Shut is Kubrick's 2nd best film (after 2001: A Space Odyssey) for this scene alone. Seeing it for the first time had blown my mind and firmly held my attention from start to finish like no other film could. This is the textbook example of an underrated masterpiece.
