Your volume works, fog, flares etc was very good also. 0:01 Is the beginning, there is too much ligh, you had to give me a nice fade in from black to low ligh, use "light fish" for source of light since you can't have sun. Some characters, i didn't recognise them, Dota have a lot of heroes, if there is not a plot reason, found it better use only dota characters, i still don't understand why you didn't use Slardar or Naga Siren since they're both deep sea chreatures. You end it very fast with a total black, i almost thought my screen burnd. ince you didn't show me slark swiming out of water, i though here 0:30 we're still underwater, i was sure that this particles was underwater bubbles.
I worked in blender and did compositing in After Effects and Premier Pro. This is my first independent work, before that I did several works based on tutorials :) You are right, I implemented the idea I decided to work on very poorly, I will say more, in the process of work I regretted a hundred times that I took up this particular idea, since at the moment I have very little experience, knowledge and practice in 3D. Initially, I planned to use more heroes from Dota, the same Slardar or Naga, but I ran into the problem of rigging these characters, since they are not human-like and it is now very difficult for me to make good animation. In the video, I couldn’t cope with the animation even with Slark, let alone Slardar or Naga... There were a lot of scenes that I initially came up with that I couldn’t implement and they simply aren’t here, in this video it turned out similar to a slide show. It’s very strange, I think that this problem is on Steam, and not on you, because I read the comments under other works and many people have this problem. This year there are a lot of problems with the competition, so I hope that the Valve company will correct these mistakes :)@@Spacepaws
