Sometimes we win, sometimes we learn. We’ve experienced a myriad of historical events together. Happy 10th anniversary to my all-time favorite game, DOTA2!
As a player who transitioned from Dota to Dota2, I’ve witnessed many changes, both within myself and in the game. It stands as the greatest game of all times for me. There were people and friends leaving the game and joining in as well. Despite the toxicity often found in the game environment, it remains a game I always want to engage in, even if just for a single match, especially after watching a tournament or observing a cool play on TH-cam or during a Twitch stream.
Even if the game were to cease to exist someday, I would still find solace in opening up my Warcraft 3, heading to the lobby, and playing DOTA against the bots.
And I would show this classic/legacy game to my children, telling them how frequently I played it in my past. Love you, Defense of the Ancients!
Dota is love, dota is life.

so many memories...
started playing it long-long time ago, because all my wc3 friends left it for dota, i picked sniper and bought boots and salve, cant remember if it was win or loss, but i liked the idea of combining items, and hero levels higher than 10
and now, more than probably 15 years later i have reached only 7k, but not my dream and gave up on it - failed to join cybersport, coaching, streaming, but i love it so much, even though it has so much toxicity and matchmaking problems, it's still the most exciting game ever - for both playing and watching
please, dota and community, never change (or at least less toxicity) and let dota live forever
toxic is a part of us, we play it cause we can chill, and we can be toxic to our teammate, our enemy, but the thrill when we gank success, or the moment the throne explodes will be forever thrill
I fell u bro, I was there on wc3 too. Loved those custom maps where you had to play with a single hero, and I used to play custom matchs (on a lan house) using only heroes from the choosen race and the neutrals from the tavern. Then, the Dota came, was insanely captivating. My first hero was Zeus and I've made a STR build LOL(loved Muradin, the Mountain King back then). Nowadays I don't play Dota 2 anymore, but surely my over 4k hours of gameplay has brought me chills watching this video.

This year TI have a big shoes to fill after this one
still remember that supp player had to be the one to buy courier pack and upgrade it when possible. back then pub match were much hilarolious since everyone fight over whose items will have to be delivered first.
even going to the side shop... shrine was one of the most broken update, since it will bring more fights to the team just because "accidentally" activate the shrine before the core comes.

Navi counter play against IG naga, bulba clock, S4 million dollar dream coil, ceb axe calls, ana io, rtz cliff & collapse op magnus. what a scene, got many left out such as dendi pudge express hook, still good though. been playing this game since 2012, i remember i got the beta key from my friend. 32 years old now, still playing it, less competitive just for fun. 😂
