Hey BigBris, you have made numerous efforts on the stock esc. Kudos! 👏 But now it’s time to swap ESCs. it takes more effort to swap out a pinion gear than to quickly grab the 4s of your Mojave. Then try the 6s Spektrum and you will be golden. Just keep an eye out on the tires. You’ve made a lot of passes. Make sure it’s glued around all edges. Good luck !!
Randy! I have a Spektrum programmer coming today that will hopefully enable the lowering of the LVC setting so I can get more out of the 4s 120a esc. If that and warmer temps fail, I will throw in the 6s 150a esc and try again. I will get that 💯! 🙂
I geared up to 44T Spur and eliminated the slipper with a 32T pinion. Mod08 gears still and I feel like it’s slower. The temps go off the charts 180-190 degrees per Spektrum dash. But I hit LVC too easy unless I ease into throttle as slow as possible. It’s a challenge in stock esc and motor.
I feel you. Here I was thinking if I just add a tooth or 3, I should be able to hit 100. I may still be able to. On 1 perfect run. After watching some vids I realized I'm probably going to have to throw in my 6s esc to see that hundo. Stay tuned! 👍
@@bigbristv bro no joke. I’m not saying you can’t but I’ve wrecked my vendetta so many times shooting for the same goal. I’m still on stock esc and motor but my next step is to go 4s with a 120amp or just put a 6s esc and run 4s then 6s. Then for sure you’ll hit 100 plus. I think I’m geared way too extreme for stock but also I know a guy who threw in a 4s pack with the stock esc- it worked and it actually ran mid 80s. I’m on 44T spur and 32T pinion no slipper. I alrr re easy destroyed a rear axle. I did all the alloy upgrades too which probably added weight. . It’s too much for it ,it gets hot and I hit lvc so easily. On the run try to ease the throttle as gradual as possible. It’ll stay in it if you do it that way everytime
@michaelrittenhouse2544 I'll try that, but imma need a LOT more road 😅 4s on stock 100a esc? Also gearing up = heat. That's why I tried running while it's cold out. Just didn't know batteries don't like it too cold or voltage sags. We will get there.
If you have the program box, download the updates and all that. I did all this over and over and over again and again. All I ended up finally hitting was 87mph.
I thought about doing that but when I called HH about two of my escs and asked if there was a way for me to program them, they didn't even suggest that option. I have been able to hit mid to high 90s but I'm pretty sure it's the cold temps holding me back. I'm just going to hold off on the speed runs until the weather breaks. Breaks being the operative word as I've broken 2 chassis already on other rigs with cold temps being a major factor. Thanks for your support! I really appreciate it 🙏
@@bigbristv yeah I have the program box and I did all the firmware updates to the Esc and the box. With the latest update I can set punch to level 9 and you can actually lower low voltage cut to 5.7V or something. Now I don’t have off issues. Now I have crashing issues lol

@@RD_LV it might run perfect but the spektrum 120 is still the same esc made by hobbywing. My vendetta with the 120 4s esc runs perfect too at 103mph over and over zero issues. His issue is likely the cold weather.
The motor cant handle over a certain gear ratio, a certain pinion...youve maxed out that tiny 3660 size motor. .time to increase can size , decrease kv, get a smaller spur gear
Love your determination man. I'd say when the temps pick up you'll see some changes. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Bruce! I can't wait for the weather to break

I might wait until it gets a lil warmer to bring all of my cars out for speed runs. None are stock and I dont have a clue of how fast any of them are.
I may have to wait also. Doing this in freezing cold weather is NOT what's up.

What’s the temp of your batteries before you run? I’m assuming it’s cold out there.
For these runs I got them up to 78 degrees in the car, but I think I need to wait for the spring for best results.

@72voltz17 thanks for that info
Maybe put hobbywing quicrun 10bl120 , i think this esc would probably handle 🤷♂️
