My go to bind off is slightly stretchy and works well with this pattern.
K2tog tbl - slip that stitch back onto the left needle and repeat K2tog tbl slip to left ....

The drawing helped me tremendously.. can this scarf be done on straight needles ? The circular needle is tough physically.
Thanks for the very clear tutorial! I’m curious to know what happens if you play with some of the numbers as I’d like to create a shawl/scarf with a narrower shape: what happens if you have 3 increases on the right side and 2 decreases on the left? I can’t visualize if it would create a triangle that “leans” to the right more dramatically and so becomes longer faster than it becomes wider? or if maybe it would spiral, which is not what I’m after. I hope I explained my question well. Thanks!
Get some graph paper and draw out your plan. Add 3 stitches on the right and remove 2 on the left and keep moving up. You will see the shape the is created. I use graph paper all the time. Happy knitting.

I just started knitting a month ago. Now I have my first ongoing asymmetrical shawl. I wonder how long/big it should be? Is there a recommended length please?
There is not recommended length, it is personal preference. Arms length is usually good for a full size shawl.
