Change of Habit was a great movie. Have a Happy is my favorite song. I sing my kids this song every night for a lullaby, they love it. Elvis on a merry go round makes my heart melt.
Change of habit is a film that is relevant today. Elvis plays a kind, hard working dr in a poor neighbourhood, with limited resources. The film covers so many social issues, from mental health, poverty, racism, gang warfare and religion. He acts with realism and natural talent and great timing. A very underrated movie. 🕺👌💕
Unlike some of the songs from Elvis' movies, it is obvious that songs like this were among his favorites, and he was giving it his all. Gospel was his favorite.
Last featured film of Elvis's film career, this was the last one of 31 films, two documentaries. BTW, this is my favorite Elvis movie, I love all of them but this one was a great Elvis movie.
DR. JOHN CARPENTER -- EXCELLENT MOVIE **WHOVILLE** Me & My Son since He was a kid its his FAVORITE CHRISTMAS MOVIE --- SOOOO HILARIOUS!!! LOVE JIM CARREY -- Anyway Elvis was Of Pentecostal Faith - NOTICE HOW HE RAISES HIS HAND SINGING IN CONCERTS -- I AM PENTECOSTAL TOO... Definitely not made for TV.. none of his movies were made for tv . Was all theatrical releases but Ofcourse later after theatre releases all his movies came on tv a lot in the 70’s .
He played a doctor and played an interactive role in the community along with the nuns in a restless period in 1968. Colonel Tom sold him out in the constant love stories but Change of Habit reflected social issues. Mary Tyler Moore had to make a choice and she does. Great show.
This is a great movie ! Relvis you crack me up or the nuns! The main one you was talking about was actress Mary Taylor Moore! I’d love having Elvis as a Doctor! 😂Another great video & Congrats on your studio shed! Miss Helene is a awesome Lady for doing that! ❤️🙏
I went to catholic school to it was cool I have good memories the nuns were very strict but we found ways to get around it 🤣. We were ahead of our peers in public school so when I decided to go to public school in high school I already had algebra and all that so easy freshman year and sophomore years. Anywho my favorite song from this movie is the awesome jams Rubberneckin! Elvis rocks that song Omg!! The super sexy John Carpenter can be my Dr any day shoot. TCB⚡️
In this movie that nun staring at him was a nurse in his clinic undercover but he fell in love with her and she loved him even though she made that vow to the lord

Mary Tyler Moore was that nun... Dolores Hart (who started in Loving You and King Creole and gave Elvis his first kiss in motion pictures actually became a nun (fun facts) I also attended Catholic school and had lessons from a nun. There are worse institutes to get an education😉 Another great reaction by uncle Ray
Thanks Ray!!! I watched Reinventing Elvis at the weekend, it was a good watch. Steve Binder who directed the ‘68 Comeback Special was talking about that show and time he spent with Elvis. If only Elvis had got rid of vile Col Tom Parker things may of been different !!!
I liked it too. If one has Walmart + then Paramount + is included. Some people may not know that. Anyway, it was great. Elvis, at the beginning, stating “I’m not going out there”. Omg. I bet Binder was a skeered 😮
This was a movie about the nun already thinking about leaving the church, and she liked Elvis. It was a good movie. Everything with Elvis is great though.

Dr. John Carpenter finds himself in the charge of three sheltered nurses who are really nuns but he doesn't know his new nurses are nuns. "Change Of Habit" is a good movie actually & the song by the same name is equally quite good! Though the most famous/ well- known song from this movie is "Rubberneckin'" which not too many know that Elvis did perform live one time only in 1969 Las Vegas. You’ll understand more if you listen to the southern gospel groups that influenced Elvis.
