    I got s sample of this and tried it and I was hooked ! Been using it for the past four years. I have sensitive skin and I haven't had any problems with breakouts or redness while using it. My skin feels sO soft and looks healthy. Believe me, I've tried all kinds of high end products costing way more than Belif and they didn't even come close to the benefits this product has.

    Hi! I’m new to your channel! I don’t wanna sound rude since it’s not my business to say, but I just hope you’re taking care of your body as much as you take care of your skin. Know that you’re absolutely beautiful, and worth every little fight.❤️

      Natalie Harrison-Lim , if you are new on this channel, before leaving a comment, would be nice to document yourself on her lifestyle and then, if consider necessary, leaving a concern comment. She takes care of her body by doing exercise and eating well... so no need for concern.
      I’m just stupefied how easy people are writing comments.... not even knowing a person...

    I love Belif brand and it has agreed with my skin. I have used both the Aqua Bomb and the Cream Moisturizer. Thank you for the thorough review.

    I love this product. I feel like with my Retin A use it's really helped with my dryness. And castor oil totally helped thicken and even grow back my eyebrows better than those growth serums. I use it in the morning. Let it soak in while getting ready. Then I apply my sunscreen and makeup. Works fine.

    I actually have atopic dermatitis and absolutely love this product line and it has definitely helped with my skin and added a ton of moisture to my face. I use the entire product line and I’m allergic to a ton of products even as simple as some baby products too. A lot of Korean beauty products that i have tried are awsome but this line is for sure a favourite of mine I happen to be Africa America and of medium- dark range and I can see the dark sports fading to in addition to my skincare routine. The have a trial /travel pack that you can try that is around 30 i think and a little goes a long way for sure.

    I was using Aqua Bomb and I loved it but switched to Cereve after hearing so many good things about it. I couldn't stand the Cereve! It didn't smooth easily over my skin and left my skin feeling dry and tight. To top it off it does not work under makeup at all. I tried a tinted moisturizer and two different foundations and just couldn't get it to work. I ended up returning the Cereve and immediately repurchasing the Aqua bomb.

    Your videos are so helpful, thank you so much. What about alcohol in skincare? I have always understood that alcohol in the form of denatured alcohol is actually quite damaging to the skin barrier and collagen. I believe it is the second ingredient in this moisturizer. What are your thoughts on alcohol in skincare?

    Thats a well explained review!! But I wonder if it will be moisturizing enough for my very dry skin?? Doc does it have high content of alcohol or alcohol denat.?? Which one would you prefer, belif aqua bomb or dr.jart cicapair cream in terms of fragrance and percentage of botanical extract??

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      not sure...dr jart is better imo...but both are problematic as far as having fragrance

    • @ShelleyNayak

    I’m just confused as to why NO ONE talks about the denatured alcohol in this.... what are your thoughts on that? It’s very high up on the ingredient list. And I stopped using it because I thought it was destroying my barrier. Redness diminished in my cheeks a tad after I stopped using it. But it was my holy grail for 3 years before i realized it had alcohol.

    I read an article on castor oil and hair growth, and it said that moisturizing prevents hair breakage from dryness and brittleness, but it doesn’t actually cause more hair growth. But I can see why people think it does work. The serial killer analogy on nettles was great, lol. I hope you had a nice Thanksgiving!

      Miss Mona I bought this Sky organics brand vegetable glycerin from Amazon, and I put about a tablespoon of the glycerin and put it in a clean spray bottle used for makeup or whatnot then used bottled water to fill the rest and shake, then spray on face, Sky organics on the Amazonian, look it up, and then I use Sweet almond oil to cleanse of course that's the very first step

    I have very fair, dry skin and was in Cancun last week where it was hot and humid. My regular moisturizer was too heavy so I switched to a sample of this that I used all week. It was great. I put it on after my toner and followed with supergroop onscreen in the day. I spent a lot of time in the sun at parks, etc. And did not get a burn or have a reaction.

    Immediate red and irritated response. I am adding a comment much later to this original video. I have tried this product several different times with a consistent response no matter other variables. I do have 50+ mildly sensitive skin. Each time I have tried this product, I have experienced the same reaction with two minutes: redness and irritation on both cheeks and nose. It could be any number of ingredients, I have found a similar reaction to the FAB Ultra Repair Serum and Mask..so I think it could be oats ??

    i came acrros this brand cream because i moved to a high desert climate a year ago, and my skin has been suffering from extreme dryness. So i wanted to find a cream and skin care products WITHOUT HYALURONIC ACID. As I noticed that this ingredient only dries out my skin further because of the arid climate here. Do you have other recommendations too, for other non-HYALURONIC ACID creams? Thank you.

      Lori it does state the fragrance of natural origin but I can't get the specifics of it. I try and avoid fragrance as well. I do use the cream version of the Belif moisturizer and it doesn't have a strong smell.

      don't be fooled by the words "natural fragrance" as this is a subterfuge...natural fragrance is a huge huge problem and should be avoided...synthetic fragrances often are mixes of natural fragrance and natural fragrance molecules

    Whenever I have applied straight squalane oil to a dry patch or irritated patch it really does improve it almost overnight. I got a odd rash on my neck and I have no idea what from. Nothing I was doing was anything new. It hurt and itched. I put my squalane oil on it and it calmed the itch and soothed it. The next morning it was finally starting to improve. Lots of stories of people using it like I did and had the same results. Not medical studies but it's helped me on multiple occasions.

    This was one of the moisturizers I was contemplating to buy last year when the heating season started due to the dry and aging skin, but the word fragrance changed my mind. I have Fibro Myalgia and have nickname "hound dog" (can smell what some people don't at all!) as I am hypersensitive to any fragrance close to my nose or high concentrations (lucky me!). So I got Neutrogena and After that Hada Labo boosters. Not sure if I am allergic or could develop allergy but skipped it and got two jars of boosters for one jar of Belief. But few of my friends are happily using it. They have stronger/thicker skin than my leather shoe sole! Our internal joke of course:) I envy them:(

    Hi! Love your videos. I’ve used this moisturizer and loved it. I used it as a first step to creating a moisture barrier (at night) between my skin and Tretenoin.
    Daytime I found it an easy pick me up to hydrate over makeup. I didn’t have any problem with it interfering with my sunscreen (under makeup) because I used Elta MD UV clear which is incredibly smooth. I would definitely recommend this to people who wear makeup and also, outside of drugstore brands, the price point isn’t high compared to most moisturizers out there. Thanks so much for your thorough review. That nettle stuff sounds scary. Why is it included in so many moisturizers?

    Dr. Dray I am grateful to be your subscriber! Thanks for all you’ve taught us! Question, my sweet little 89 yr old mom that I have the pleasure of sitting with right now has had psoriasis (mostly scalp only) for a very long time. She has tried a lot of stuff. Even Otezla for awhile. She uses Clobetasol but it is hard for her to get those 89 yr old arms to maneuver the back of her head. She doesn’t get out much to get those UVB rays. I was wondering if any of the in home specialty lights sold for psoriasis would be worth a try. Maybe a daily 5-10 min. could help. She sees a Dermatologist regularly. Let me know what you think.

    • @DrDrayzday

      have her return to the treating dermatologist as a prescription can be written for an at-home UVB box (if indicated for her based on the treating dermatologist's evaluation and managment plan)...insurance often covers too

    I LOVE your videos and have been binge watching them all evening as i just learnt of your channel in my search of Differin information today! I have used the Aqua bomb and it feels irritating/burning when i apply it. To be fair however, i have been using differin for three weeks or so now and that might be why. I actually prefer the Belif True cream, the sister so to speak to the Aqua Bomb, i find it to be more moisturizing, without being too much so and even with skin irritations it does not irritate or burn when i apply it. My concern is and i am wondering if you can help me with this, do you think the true cream has the same property as the Aqua Bomb that might jeopardize the integrity of the sunscreen i apply afterwards as well? (when i run out i will go for one of your recommended moisturizers, more affordable, non-irritating and i can get it at the store instead of online!)
    Thank you for your videos, I really appreciate them and all of the in-depth information you provide! Sunscreen and now subscribed! :)

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yeah creams are generally better moisturizers than gels; putting moisturizer on after a sunscreen carries the likely risk that you wipe the sunscreen off/make it uneven

    It always amazes me that some companies find it necessary to include so many ingredients in a product. I’m sure it’s a marketing ploy to get consumers to think they’re getting more bang for their buck and spend more on their product. As someone with sensitive skin this technique doesn’t work on me! LOL. I back away any time I see really long ingredient list. Thanks for such a detailed review! I hope you and your mom had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

  • @nk3850
    @nk3850 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I got two little tubs as a sample. I enjoyed the first tub and decided to go order the full size. Then I read the full ingredient list again and noticed those botanicals and I was so disappointed.
    Gah 😩
    Also, I never had any instructions for use on my sample tub. I thought it was a thick serum lol. I use it after my glycerin toner, and before my dr Jart ceramidin cream.
    I read that studies have shown that using skincare products BEFORE sunscreen doesnt interfere with spf. But using skincare products after sunscreen (any skincare products, it just ones that are high water content) interferes with spf

    Since this is similar to the Hada Labo plumping gel, do you also recommend using a moisturizer after belif application to avoid evaporation?

    I think the FAB coconut water cream may be a similar gel cream hydrating texture to this belief bomb. Have you ever used it or reviewed it? Wondering if it’s worthwhile to try either as daytime or night moisturizer - perhaps even for summer only for combo skin that’s often sensitive to fragrance and redness in my cheeks (never been diagnosed with actual Rosacea but some of the same symptoms and if I am not careful).
    And of course congested skin with breakouts. Lucky me lol.
    Winter it’s quite dry here in Toronto with the cold weather and heating indoors so I’ll prob grab for a traditional lotion or cream that is more thick and emollient to seal in moisture.
    But I’ve been debating trying the belif or the FAB coconut water cream so this vid was helpful on breaking down the belif. Haven’t seen any dermatologists review the other one for comparison.

    Dr Dray I literally just discovered you today! I know this video is old but Aqua Bomb and Moisturizing Bomb have destroyed my skin- very broken out but in an irritated way. Do you have any recommendations? I'm dry, 38 years old, tend toward redness. I also just tried Maelove's One Cream to get away from Belif and it felt like I put Elmer's Glue on my face, I actually WASHED it off, it was so bad. Any recommendations?

      Eye cream does appear to be a marketing gimmick of sorts because eye area skin is same as any other skin. Proven Anti-Aging = lots of sunscreen + moisturizer + retinoids. Using a moisturizing sunscreen on your eye area should be able to really slow down the signs. :)

    I have to thank you Dr. Dray, its been through watching your videos that I came to realize why so many face products even ones that work well otherwise were always ending up in breakouts for me- fragrance. Ever since I switched to products without fragrance I have seen such a great improvement in my skin Thank you so much! That being said I tried the Belif Aqua Bomb too and loved the hydration but it too made me break out after about 2 weeks of use. Great product but not for me.

  • @moreluxe6401

    I understand what you mean.. so any Belif product is not recommended even for example the Belif Youth Creator - Age Knockdown Bomb right? I have rosacea and very sensitive skin and I recently started using the sensitive collection along with age knockdown and felt my skin peeling little by little. My lips 👄 feel leathery and super sensitive and I see small white dots in them ( I have to remove the dead skin several times a day.
    I wanted to know if it’s only me or if these are the Belif products I’m using.

    Dr Dray, I see in your previous videos that you combine/mix more than 1 sunscreen in your face. Is it safe to do? Can i also combine 2 sunscreens without it loosing its properties? Have a great day!

    • @DrDrayzday
      @DrDrayzday  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes...make sure they each set up/dry a bit first though before moving on to the next layer....depending on the chemical sunscreen you are using, there is some evidence to suggest that some of the chemical filters are more rapidly degraded by mineral sunscreens...so if you aren't sure about the filters it is prudent to stick with all chemical or all mineral
