Illiyoon ceramide ato concentrate cream does not have niacinamide and is my HOLY GRAIL thick smooth moisturizer for winter months. On stylvanna. For my fellow dry/sensitive girlies out there!! Does not feel greasy or oily, goes on smooth and feels like it hugs your skin!! I believe it's on Amazon too, but 3x the cost
@NarcissisticCannibal I have not tried cicaplast. However, this is a thick cream moisturizer, not a balm. If I'm not mistaken, I believe the cicaplast is a balm/skin protectant/occlusive, not a moisturizer.
i discovered this moisturizer a couple of months ago and have been using it since then. during warmer months i’m a cerave pm user however in winter time i find it not moisturizing enough. i live in switzerland and the air is dry and cold here in winter. i have no problem using this under a sunscreen, although in winter i tend to gravitate towards heavier sunscreens. i’m also a swimmer and using this after i get out of the pool feels like a dream - all dryness and irritation is instantly gone. the best feeling ever. i highly recommend it for people with dry skin during cold months of the year.
I’ve been using this since last December. My skin became so dry because of the weather. This A365 cream felt so good on my dry skin. It hydrates really good. Now one of my favorites.
I love your fun educational videos so much. I cannot afford to see a dermatologist, and unfortunately I don't see being able to anytime in the near future. It would be selfish of me to do so, when my kids have needs that are so costly. I love to hear your knowledge and opinions on skincare. Especially since i have such a love for K-beauty. Oh and also, you made me want to give fruit cake a chance 😂
I use it as the last step over my tretinoin at night. LOVE it!!! It kept me from peeling when I first started out on tret. It's been a year now and it's still part of my PM routine.
Hi Dr Dray I have used this and the ever popular Illyoon. I like this better than Illyoon for my extremely dry rosacea and eczema prone menopausal skin, but I far prefer the Zeroid oint cream (my discovery of 2024). It's 80mls for around £20 and it's even more nourishing with a better texture. I can use it during the day under my ultrasun or at night under a balm. It's been such a find for me. I would caution however that the Zeroid is best for the extremely dry skinned out there, but they have other versions that are lighter. The cream rather than the oint cream (the green font range) is more like the Aestura for reference. Best wishes x
I usually order mine from StyleKorean since they put it on sale quite often for 50-55% off so around $25 USD. The only downside is you have to order $60 worth of products to get free expedited shipping from Korea (and trust me, it’s not hard finding products to put in your cart to get to $60 since they have some amazing deals 😁). Orders usually take a week to receive in the US. They’ve been taking my money for a while now. 😆
@@kimc6639 they release a “Beauty Box” monthly which contain a bunch of great popular and viral full sized products totaling around $200 for just $39. They sell out fast! I also love their random $1 deals.
I use both the cream and lotion. The lotion is an excellent moisturizer during the day and plays well with my skincare and makeup. Also, there are frequent sales on Amazon. That’s when I buy mine.
I have been using that cream since last year and I honestly did not notice the reformulation at all! I use it (almost) every night and I love its texture and how moisturizing it is, so I highly recommend it 😊
I love this cream. I use it at night as my last step but I agree it's too heavy for during the day. I have been using the I am Rice Cream for the morning.
It’s my HG. I used it for 2 years now. I use to like Cerave moisturizer but it broke me out after 2 years use, completely ruin my face. Aestura helped save my face. I have tinkling feeling using niacinamide but I don’t have problem using Aestura new formulation. Now Aestura atobarrier cream is the thing I put on my face every single night and sometimes during the day as well. Love it to the moon and back. I recommended it to many friends with sensitive skin and none have issue with it.
I was looking for the gold bond retinol body lotion but it's not available in Canada so I recently found and purchased "Dove pro retinol body serum" from Amazon. So far, I love it! Would be interested in your opinion as well.
Niacinimide makes me break out and nearly everything has it in! It is soooo frustrating. It took me a while to figure out what it was hurting my skin but once I did it was a revelation. Have you made a niacinimide free vid yet? 🙏✨
Finally someone that has a niacinamide reaction! I tried 5% and 10% (mistakenly) and all it did was give me bumps. It’s a pity because I hear it’s supposed to be nice to reduce the look of pores 😢
I KNEW it!!!! I've been using this exact cream since 2022. I typically wait for a sale and buy 3 or 4 bottles at a time. I realized that a recent resupply bottle didn't feel as emollient but chalked it up as a "me" thing. I am sad that the reformulation is confirmed. I feel like it was a bit heavier, but I love that in a nighttime cream and would even use it most mornings, especially in the winter. I still use it, but it's not my very last step anymore. I also wish it wasn't $40 a bottle.
They're everywhere (including the food you're ingesting and the water you drink). Unavoidable in general but when it comes to skincare specifically I guess that absorbtion through skin would be very poor anyway (I'm no doctor though so don't quote me on that 😉 )
Is there even enough research on the impact of microplastics on human health at this point anyway? Sounds like "clean beauty" fear-mongering to me but, once again, I'm no expert ;)
I might check Lab Muffin's video, scientist debunks: fake sustainability in beauty. She goes over this along with Jen from the EcoWell. Dr Dray has videos addressing clean beauty.
My teen uses it every night for the last month or so. She is acne prone, but this has been fine on her skin especially since she uses benzoyl peroxide and it’s now winter.
There has been an influx of ads for JOVS laser, light therapy mass. It’s made me interested in the light therapy masks, but I am worried about jumping on this one based on the heavy heavy marketing. I would love your recommendations for these light masks as I’d like to try one.
I have combo skin and experienced that greasy/oily feel. I didn't like how it felt as if it never dried or absorbed. I did like how my skin felt in the morning though. I can see how folks with dry skin love it. Don't think it will be a go to for me.
@@mathew227 it does not say that it is for oily skin but my skin is oily/normal…for me it is great. I was using it in summer too, only at night and i did not have any issue. Did not clogg pores. I have this issue with clogging pores with korean moisturizers. Cicaplast leaves my skin velvety soft.
I have used it since I bought back in the Fall for wintertime skin care. I liked it very much too. Sometimes these kinds of products get too greasy, but this one didn't on me. I use it regularly now that we are in January and I use the Altreno tretinoin regularly too. I will continue to use the tube & might repurchase. My dermatologist recommends Cera Ve so usually use Cera Ve Renewing nighttime cream but an influencer recommended this as her Mom was on it and loved it. Great purchase!
I have pretty severe atopic dermatitis around my eyes that is triggered by allergens in cosmetics and I have loved using this cream! I’ve almost finished my first tube and I will definitely be repurchasing. It really hydrates the sensitive skin around my eyes without causing any irritation. It’s definitely worth trying if you struggle with eczema/dermatitis!
I received a free sample of AESTURA ATOBARRIER365 Cream last year (Jan 2024). I wonder if I have the old or reformulated version. You said the old formulation did not have niacinamide? I have the old one then. I thought it was a little sticky/oily for my face so I started using it for my neck and loved it. It's rich, moisturizing, and long lasting.
I just started using this about a month ago, and I absolutely love it! My face is super soft in the morning. I have not seen niacinamide listed as an ingredient for this on any ingredient list I can find online, so I wonder where this is coming from?
Oh my gosh, I totally missed the niacinamide on the ingredients list! I have just recently started using this at night, and so far so good. So maybe the niacinamide is in a low enough concentration that it doesn’t bother me 🤞🏻
Aestura is actually quite a luxe K-Beauty brand. Although the formula has changed, the cream and lotion are still two of the best moisturizers I've used.
I’ve been using vani cream but during winter it just does not moisturize well. My face always feels dry but I’ve been looking for more moisturizers now and bought this!
Until now I didn’t purchase it. I had the Illiyoon ATO. It also has the small vehicles. I believe it is more expenses then it used to be but is still less expensive.
Holy grail cream. No joke. Always have a backup. Necessary for times when I use retinol or other strong actives. New version is more emollient but I layer it under the Vaseline intensive repair lotion and it creates the perfect seal on my skin that lasts all night. And I sleep on my stomach lol
Good evening, beautiful Dr Dray❤️ There’s a product that’s recently become very popular in Korea, claiming it can change your skin tone to a cool tone. Could you test it out for me? I’m really curious if it actually works!Thank you so much.🤩🥰😍✨ The product is”Arencia HOLLY HYSSOP SERUM 30 “
id love to say I just ordered this product for the first time and for anyone who is here watching to see if they should or should not get 365 cream reformulated, I absolutely LOVE this cream. It's one of the best creams I have ever tried.
This reformulation happened many months ago. I'm one of the people that reacts to niacinamide so I hated it & had to hunt for a new moisturizer which was a hassle as the old one worked so well. But what was most upsetting was that Aestura sneakily shipped the new formulation without informing customers. I buy from their official store on a major platform so it isn't fake. I noticed my skin suddenly getting irritated but didn't link it to Aestura because it was a safe product to me previously. Then I started seeing some people saying about reformulation online with the addition of niacinamide. I asked the official store service, they said they have not shipped the new formulation & one can differentiate through packaging. The official store product page had no announcement about reformulation either. I didnt have the packaging so I had no proof. Fortunately, a friend bought through the same channel around the same period and i saw niacinamide on the packaging (I can read Korean). I sent a pic of it to the customer service and didn't receive any explanation after. I felt deceived and ignored so I no longer trust this company
I was very upset with the reformulation, particularly because I ordered a 4 pack after finding out it was perfect and they sent me the new one (even though the picture was of the older one), I find this one seats more on the top of the skin and my skin feels tight and dry after a few hours during the winter which didn’t happen with the older one
I just got this to try and didnt realize it was reformulated. It’s just kinda blah to me. i wake up in the am feeling like i didnt put anything on my skin at all. Maybe i need to layer it.
I think it's more accurate to say aestra is the korea equivalent of la roche posay due to the price point. Illiyoon is probably more close to being a korean equivalent of cerave.
This was absolutely unnecessary to add niacinamide however the amount is tiny, i don't feel any tingling at all as with other niacinamide products. I have combo skin and i didn't feel any oiliness At All. Skin is kind of damp and very very well hydrated. My top favorite!
Hey Dr. Drey, been trying to use retinol but it’s just to harsh for me. I saw your last video on retinol alternatives was 3 years ago where your recommendations look great but expensive. Could you do an update for it, perhaps more budget friendly please? 😂 🙏
Dr Dray, I recently found out that Fujifilm decided to pivot to skincare and I was wondering what you think of a camera maker doing skincare; because I think it’s kinda crazy that whats used in film is also sort of good for skincare?? I think I’ll link the TikTok if I can find it
I know they're different products, but is it possible that aestura could work for me even though cerave breaks me out? I ordered aestura yesterday but I'm just worried since i read they are similar.
Unfortunately, Aestura is not certified cruelty-free by any organizations (e.g. Leaping Bunny or PETA) Aestura is owned by Amorepacific Group, a company that still tests on animals.
I’ve used ato barrier cream and I like it but I didnt try old version. I’m not sensitive for niacinamide but what about few product in one skincare routine with niacynamid? Is it okay? Now a lot of products have niacynamid I have a lot of products toner, ampule, serum, spf, cream and a lot of them have niacynamid
@DrDrayzday Thank you for your channel. I learn so much from you. For someone who has SEVERELY DRY SKIN (Think MN SUBZERO WINTER COLD SKIN 🥶. DO I kneed a Hyaluronic acid serum in addition to COSRX 6X Peptide Collagen Booster Toner Serum, Niacinamide & Hyaluronic Acid Skin Renewal Boosting Facial Essence and the COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence (using both)? Also what night moisturizer and mask would you recommend for me (don't love Cerave) but this girl is on the grad school budget. I am not a fan of fragrance! THANKS SO SO MUCH!!😇

I use aestura cream at night and wake up with small pimples then i stop using it. Now i use illiyoon ato cream and it’s pretty great for me😊
I just got this to try and didnt realize it was reformulated. It’s just kinda blah to me. i wake up in the am feeling like i didnt put anything on my skin at all. Maybe i need to layer it.
I literally Just Put on this cream 5 minutes ago 🤣
it is nice!
@DrDrayzday yes
Google is watching you...🎉
@nataliemikhail9136 so true 😅
Me too! I love it with tretinoin. No difference so far. But how do we know which one we got? The old or new?
I think I’ll link the TikTok if I can find it
Very interesting video! TFS!❤️
Thank you too
Hi, Dr. D! Does the skin respond and or experience ill effects from high (blood measured) homocysteine?
have you tried the Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream? its my holy grail
I was looking for this cream!! Looks like it was banning from Amazon 😢
I purchased this cream after watching Dr. Ellis recommending it. I used it once and it stung due to the niacinamide. Can’t use it.
I know they're different products, but is it possible that aestura could work for me even though cerave breaks me out? I ordered aestura yesterday but I'm just worried since i read they are similar.
Unfortunately, Aestura is not certified cruelty-free by any organizations (e.g. Leaping Bunny or PETA)
Aestura is owned by Amorepacific Group, a company that still tests on animals.
How does it compare to create skin renewing night cream which is a similar cost?
Whats the difference with la roche posay B5
Can you please review beauty of joseon sunscreen? They have completely changed the formula
Could you review Torriden skincare? It’s a very hot brand in Korea right now!
Try the illiyun one it does the same thing and it's cheaper
1:21 Dr Dray you have to try the CareCera AP new ceramide milk.
For that price, I’d rather buy isntree yam root cream for 16€ which has the same ingredients AND MORE and a silky, elegant feel to it
I’ve used ato barrier cream and I like it but I didnt try old version. I’m not sensitive for niacinamide but what about few product in one skincare routine with niacynamid? Is it okay? Now a lot of products have niacynamid I have a lot of products toner, ampule, serum, spf, cream and a lot of them have niacynamid
It’s so expensive 😢 but I caved in and bought it! I love it but I don’t know if it’s lfiechanging
Can you please talk about the Tanning Drops you drink 🥤? Zeria - I think they are called.
Is that recent? Dr Dray's not really into tanning. Most derms who do talk about tanning talk about sunless tanners you apply on the skin.
also review their cream plus+ version as well please
