This game is an absolute masterpiece (and also a bit too scary on the solo release mission for me haha). I hope the game continues to grow and want to thank every single person who invested their time in creating this game.
The Outlast Trials is one of the most successful early access games I've ever played, maybe not on the level of AAA or BG3, but it's top 5 for sure. The state it's in is fantastic. God speed, all of you!

Outlast trials was a genus idea. I absolutely love outlast 1 and have beaten it countless times( speed-running) and outlast trials was a dream come true, a multiplayer outlast with replay value, progression system, and cosmetics. It really just works. And not only with the focus on multiplayer you also tuned the game to single player which I can’t thank you enough most devs that make a multiplayer coop game don’t really look out for the single players. I love what you all have done and plan to keep playing for years outlast trials and whatever comes next.
Ps. Not to even mention y’all released a game in beta that runs better than pretty much all AAA studio releases it’s crazy the amount of work and effort you all do to provide a great experience.

After knowing how hard and long you all worked to make the Trials come to life, I'm even more proud of the work you've managed to achieve. The growth alone that I've seen from the Beta to Early Access is phenomenal and it's one of my top favorite games to date. And it's by far the most complete and stable Early Access game I've ever played - I'm beyond excited to see what the future holds for this game!
My first exposure to this game was at the VGAs show last December. I don't have a PC, ergo probably why I didn't hear about this game before then. Perchance this popped up on my Xbox Series dashboard and I decided to TH-cam search this game. After seeing the console trailer, I watched this documentary. By golly, so much heart was put into making this game. I am very happy for your team. I'm going to try and convince a sibling & their friend to get it on day 1, especially if it's crossplay as they both are on PS5 & I on Xbox Series.
Huge fan of the series, been grinding Outlast trials from the first week of release and love everything about it. Definitely one of the top coop games I've played this year. Loved every bit the documentary showing the making of this incredible game. The music part gave me chills. Cant wait to see what the future dlcs will bring 😬
I'm someone wanting to enter into the film industry and to see how game development works is really cool to watch. I love to write screenplays and from a writing standpoint, the game is really well done. Outlast is my absolute favorite horror series I've played and Trials is by far my favorite out of the four. With the new courthouse trial, I definitely think you guys should continue to add on to this game with new trials. It's flippin' awesome. Great job Red Barrels!
Can't believe they made Outlast 1 & 2, which have one of the best horror gameplays, great door mechanic, probably the goriest horror game I've ever seen (they seriously don't care about putting all of these uncensored), so dedicated world/lore, and so many great things, and then they put all of them in a coop video game.

На данный момент хотелось бы видеть больше главных врагов, потому что в игре слишком много испытаний с Mother Gooseberry и Leland Coyle. Во время Halloween event приходилось проходить одни и те же испытания большое количество раз для того, чтобы забрать все награды. Надеюсь, разработчики и дальше будут радовать нас новым контентом и немножко пересмотрят систему сбора ивентовой валюты, потому что пришлось пройти более 130 испытаний, чтобы купить все предметы 🥲❤
Я думаю с Коилом, и Гусбери все сделано правильно, У Коила, локации связаные с законом, у Гусбери, с детьми. Так что в ожидаемой 5 карте "Фабрика Игрушек" снова ждём Гусбери. Но мб там и Коил, будет. Ибо возможно что это будет последнее испытание в 1 сезоне, с этими злодеями, после чего во 2-м сезоне уже точно будут новые злодеии.

Played the first Outlast when it first came out on PC, finished it twice and the long awaited whistleblower DLC after. Played Outlast 2 on PS4. Didn't get the chance to play the early acces of The Outlast Trials. (my brother have and he's having blast. I go to his room watch him play from time to time) Pre-ordered it on PS5 tho and i can't fucking wait to play it. 500K in 1 week for an Early Access just for a single platform is huge. Massive congrats, Red Barrels. Big fan from the beginning and I'll continue being so.

I started playing Outlast when it came out, I was only 7 years old. I grew up with this game series, and to see it grow so much brings a tear to my eye. Incredible work, Red Barrels!! I am so proud.

Insane how it's in early access and already has more content than a lot of finished round-based games. Had an astonishing amount of fun and scary moments with my friends. Very excited to see it on Xbox next year, so we can play with our other friend.
I love this game and the entire franchise! I think it would be amazing if you guy's added a whole story mode along with the multiplayer mode. This is so cool to see, and it's wild to realize how challenging of a journey it was to pioneer something new like that, but damn does the quality of the game prove it was all worth it. Love Outlast original game. Greatly enjoy Trials! I mostly play solo, it's tough but doable. Playing with friends has more comic moments, as we seem to panic and take turns getting downed by characters. Enjoyed the Halloween event, looking forward to future events!

Wow, it really seems this game felt more of a nightmare to make than to play any of your games =: But jokes aside as a fan i am really happy you didn't cancel the game which many people would have done in your situation. Especially that in the end you actually nailed to make a Cooperative experience as terrifying as the other games you made, i can only applaud to that :) I also hope we get more Devlogs in the future as they keep the fans in touch with what is going on, it is truly the best was a Development team could communicate with their fans, atleast that is my opinion. :) I am really excited to see where this game goes in the future, thanks for making this incredible series @Redbarrels :)
I don’t know another game dev that dives deep into history like Red Barrels, but my thought is that while the trials is set in a covert facility how long would it have taken to setup? I mean looking into details within maps it’s really easy to forget it is in some kind of warehouse but I’m also curious to know if any of it is also set underground at all.
Love the speculation... Some great Outlast Lore TH-camrs have done their own deep dives into the documents and historical references, you should look it up ;)

To see these people had lost morale I really want you to know you have created a solid foundation of a very FUN enjoyable game. It has horror it has fun you just need to keep adding to it
let them finish it first. they've already said the console release will be in 2024, and there's going to be cross-play (but no cross-save). while the game is fun and extremely polished for early access, it lacks content right now. by the time it comes to consoles it should have more meat on its bones. more: trials, modes (last man standing), prime assets / ex-pops, traps, mechanics, variators, amps, sleep room activities, cosmetics, maybe even new rigs. less: bugs, cheesable ai, repetitive design.

I remember I watched pewdieie play outlast when I was 10 years old. I even played the first game that fucking young who tf let me play that shit at fucking 10! Im 20 now and i don’t game much anymore but Man I had so much fun playing the outlast trials. Outlast is a franchise I will be forever loyal to!
The Outlast Trials will have cross-play but no cross-progression. Players on different platforms will be able to play together but your game saves will be separate on each platform!

The Outlast Trailers The main and joyful factor is the change. The missions, maps and enemies are the main factor (the story) 😊
I have more than 100 hours of gameplay and the game is really fun even tho i play solo. Imagine how extremely fun it is playing with friends

I mean looking into details within maps it’s really easy to forget it is in some kind of warehouse but I’m also curious to know if any of it is also set underground at all.

let them finish it first. they've already said the console release will be in 2024, and there's going to be cross-play (but no cross-save). while the game is fun and extremely polished for early access, it lacks content right now. by the time it comes to consoles it should have more meat on its bones. more: trials, modes (last man standing), prime assets / ex-pops, traps, mechanics, variators, amps, sleep room activities, cosmetics, maybe even new rigs. less: bugs, cheesable ai, repetitive design.

I remember I watched pewdieie play outlast when I was 10 years old. I even played the first game that fucking young who tf let me play that shit at fucking 10! Im 20 now and i don’t game much anymore but Man I had so much fun playing the outlast trials. Outlast is a franchise I will be forever loyal to!
You guys are the best! Outlast is easily my favourite horror game! One question though: is the game going to be cross platform multiplayer?
The Outlast Trials will have cross-play but no cross-progression. Players on different platforms will be able to play together but your game saves will be separate on each platform!
