- In the aftermath, the Navy and a new crew escort the ship back to Isla Sorna, as Malcolm and Sarah rest in front of the TV. John Hammond also releases a statement requesting that with InGen's secret island of dinosaurs now being realized, that Costa Rica help establish the island as a nature preserve, to keep humans from setting foot on it.

Sad that his successor, Simon Masrani decided to throw Hammond's final wish into the trash and created another Jurassic Park AND illegally cloned new species on Isla Sorna.
Later, Hammond's protege, Henry Wu perverted Hammond's legacy by creating the Indominus Rex and the Indoraptor.
Then Eli Mills decided to kidnap them and sell them to criminals, Terrorists and all sorts of people on the Black Market.
Hopefully Jurassic World 3 ends with the dinosaurs living in peace and happiness like in this ending.

The best ending in the entire franchise. Hearing Richard Attenborough deliver that amazing speech, and then seeing all the dinosaurs( including the T- Rex family) in their habitat is such a delight. Also shouldn't forget to mention John Williams beautiful score!

i love the ending to this film seeing the dinosaurs in there habitat and the pteranodon screech in the ending gets almost teared up pure nostalgia
i will sa this is how it should actually be, nowadays in jurassic world they are MONSTERS and so they do MONSTER things, but this scene shows perfectly they arent.
the t rex parents dont attack anything they see, the plant eaters dont attack at random / do weard shit. the *birds* pterosaurs are hanging around, it feels natural

The dinosaurs along with the voice of Richard Attenborough made it the perfect ending to the story.
The ending is even more tearful than it already is when you realize that in the movie canon, John Hammond dies of natural causes sometime later.
In the book he died on Isla Nublar, he was eaten by Compsognathus

I guess Simon Masrani missed the memo when Masrani Global upset the ecosystem when they started moving animals off Sorna
Yeah. The Jurassic World films kind of contradict the themes and continuity of the first three movies.
According to JW promo materials, after Hammond died, Masrani Global bought over InGen and as usual, got greedy and decided to throw Hammond's wish in the trash and go their own way with these animals. So not much contradiction there.

Well according to the Dino Protection Group website, we find out how and why they moved most of the dinosaurs off the island. The timeline is as follows:
- 1997: The San Diego Incident takes place, leading the general public to know about the existence and cloning of Dinosaurs.
The Gene Guard act is passed which was supported by John Hammond, and stated that cloning of dinosaurs was illegal and the dinosaurs should be given the same rights as endangered animals.
- 1998: John Hammond dies and InGen is bought out by Masrani Global.
- 1999: Several InGen scientists are commisioned by InGen in secret to go to Isla Sorna to clone and test for the next incarnation of Jurassic Park. 4 new Species were cloned; Ceratosaurus, Corythosaurus, Ankylosaurus and Spinosaurus.
2001: Survivors of the plane crash encounter members of all 4 species of the dinosaurs not on InGen's list. When trying to report these species, InGen silenced them.
2003: Unknown individuals bribed lawmakers to revoke the Gene Guard Act. They succeed and make plans for the next iteration of Jurassic Park
2005: Jurassic World opens to the public. With the Gene Guard act revoked, InGen scientists continue to clone and breed Dinosaurs on Isla Nublar for Jurassic World.

It was nice to hear his voice again, but I honestly felt that was manipulative.

Without a doubt the best ending to any JP movie considering that it shows all of the dinosaurs in peace with no pesky humans bothering them. Add to the fact that the Rex parents have reunited with their baby makes this ending even more iconic and unforgettable!

At least Richard Attenborough John Hammond was not killed by a dinosaur like Dennis Nedry, Donald Janiro, Robert Muldoon or Ray Arnold were.
This is why I loved the first two films, they really hammered home the idea that yes, dinosaurs can be terrifying (especially at night) and anyone who gets too close is fair game to be eaten (doesn't matter if you're good or bad) but they're also just animals and kind of innocent. Nowadays you have 'good dinosaurs' and 'evil mutant dinosaurs' and it feels very at odds with the original two. 🤷♂️
More people should read your comment. We are all entitled to our opinions. However, I struggle to understand why some people will defend the Jurassic World films, which are excessive and sloppily written films.
I think it’s fine to make the hybrids evil, since the Indom and Indoraptor understood the concept of murder and gained satisfaction from it, but making natural, real life dinosaurs good or evil is extremely idiotic, but hey, whatever gets more ticket sales
Plus the Indominus represents all the stereotypes of dinosaurs (that they are vicious beasts that are constantly bloodthirsty) and is compared to actual dinosaurs for the audience to tell how differently they act. Just wish they got rid of that Pterosaur scene

Well they were supposed to be in the film and have their own scene where they destroy the helicopter that rescues ian and sarah and the destruction of the chopper is the same way the pteranodons destroy the chopper in jurassic world. Ironic how the scenes that were scrapped in previous films would later be used in the newer films. Sadly in the lost world’s productuon, it was scrapped. Many things were scrapped. Especially the scene in which we learn how the baby rex got its leg broken. (Spoiler, a drunk ludlow tripped and fell on the infant’s leg)

During the pandemic there has been a sudden growth in animals in most of the national parks than before, due to tourists not disturbing and interfering in their mating ritual they can finally peacefully reproduce without anyone watching with loud cameras

Honestly, this is a good ending point for the series. Sure the later movies had fun moments, but this ending feels like an actual ending, humans and dinosaurs separated and living out their lives.
I've actually made a decision (and it wasn't an easy one for I'm a huge fan of the franchise, and for me even the lesser films have their good qualities)
If the new Jurassic world movie that's coming out ends up as nothing more than an action adventure fun film..I just might consider the 2 first films canon for one simple reason. There are no loose ends that lead for another movie like in jp3 and the jw trilogy

OMG! This is my childhood, I remember maybe when I was 3 or 4 years old and I remember seeing this ending. Now I am 14 years old now and having the nostalgia and remember that ending scene. Time go so quick!

I remember this scene as a kid where the dinosaurs reom free! My dad liked seeing the flying dinosaurs making an entrance and he watched me play that very scene with my toy dinosaurs back in the day we watched the movie. It was his favorite part towards the ending.

I wish the ending of JW Dominion was somehow sending/ transporting some of the dinosaurs back to isla Sorna instead of BioSyn transporting more from Sorna to their sanctuary so they can live peaceful and independent lives without 'our help' and fulfilling Hammond's final wish, it will also give the humans and the dinosaurs have a happy ending
Isla Sorna is a lost world for the Dinosaurs. Creatures wiped out and brought back to the planet. A place where they can live separate from Humanity. Although only a movie, it warms my heart for people to let nature take it's course
